Basic but met all our needs. Very welcoming host, Frank. Lovely scenery.

Very quiet. Close to numerous attractions and very good value for money.

Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

Sorry was unable to stay as weather turned rather wet and unpleasant, so left the same night. I was only there for a few hours.

Was very disappointed as I was looking forward to my stay. Cherry Knight

Perfect for basic camping. Good draining grounds in a few small fields surrounded by hedgerow with lovely view of the sea and the Mournes - if the weather permits.

Only tents, quiet and peaceful with good rules kept by the owner. We had Storm Ellen to contend with so Frank offered us a refund for the last two nights if we felt the need to pack up. We stayed and survived very well.

Beside the Bloody Bridge and the cascading river that it crosses. Some lovely swimming holes on the way up to the Mourne Wall and up to Slieve Donard.

Toilets and showers basic but clean and plenty of hot water. A pure joy in the age of campsites full of hard-standing, pitches in grid pattern with all the bells and whistles of the modern day!

Location is situated beside Bloody bridge pathway for walking.

Seaviews from campsite, peaceful campsite.

Can be very windy due to location.

Definitely be back for relaxing break soon.

 Great location with wonderful view.

Showers and toilets basic but very clean.

Friendly owner and well run site. No noise or alcohol after 12pm. Fantastic base for exploring the Mournes,

We will definitely be back.

Tidy and quiet. Nothing fancy but everything we needed.

The owner was friendly and welcoming and took the time to speak with his guests.

My 12 year old had a fantastic time, climbing Slieve Donard and sleeping in a tent through gale force winds!

We will return.

Many thanks.

Great little site with amazing views one way upon the hills, the other over the sea.

Basic but adequate amenities. Walking but with good bus service into town

Walk up Slieve Donard starts at side of site.

Not a site for night time revellers

Just back from a 3 day visit to this hidden gem. This was my family's first time out in a tent and must say this was a great start.

Very secluded site with great views, was super quite as there was only 1 other tent on site for our stay. Quite a steep drive up in but keeps it out of they way,

We pitched up on the top field up passed the ablutions, bit of a hill but not to much to bear. Super views and walks around the area.

Toilet block had quite a few bulbs out, but has enough to be functional with plenty of hot water for showers and separate dishwashing facilities.

Stand pipe at tent site as well. Strict rules about fires, which is understandable and dogs on leads even though the owner wanders around with 4 dogs off lead of his own.

Rates weren't to bad for the area. Site has no other facilities on it and has strict noise rules and alcohol rules as well which suited us.

No electricity on site at all so it was back to basics for us.

Me and my partner stayed here 1St July for a long weekend. Very quiet when we stayed, was only 3 other people. Toilet shower blocks were great hot water.

Place to clean your dishes, fresh drinking water taps just outside the shower blocks. Views were amazing!

The road up the camp site was a bit trying but understandable due to how steep it it.

There is 3 fields to choose from, we stayed with the views of the lighthouse and mournes just behind us.

Owner was lovely and very helpful. You can have your own camp fire and owner supply you with wood and fire starter which is £10. Which has went up from last year, other reviews said £6.

£12 per tent per night and it was totally worth it.

Was definitely stay again. Everything at your camp site, bloody bridge and the walk.
