Had a wonderful & relaxing time at Little Cotton. Arrived at the campsite & was directed to our pitch, this was in the main field, with touring vans in the middle & tents & trailers etc around the edge. Alot of the pitches were fairly worn, with little chance of grass growth, ours was a little muddy, but it was dry prior to pitching. Facilities were excellent, toilet blocks were spotless, shower cubicles, wash basins & wash cubicles were of a very high standard of hygiene. The dishwashing room was also spotless.
The shop was well stocked, with the basics to get you going, not too badly priced (there is a BP Spar garage around the corner aswell). You can purchase Park & Ride tickets from the shop (£1 each), the park & ride is next to the camp site (there is little or no noise from this operation) & shuttle buses whisk you into the heart of Dartmouth in minutes (while other motorists are still queueing for a parking space). From here you can explore the wonderful town, or take a boat trip or the ferry to Kingswear & catch the Steam Train to Paignton.
The staff were very friendly & helpful, but leave you alone to relax! The site has a 10pm Quiet policy, which worked well on most nights. There was one or two occasions when some of the elder statesmen campers must have hit their Gin & Sherry supplies!
We were extremely impressed with this site & its good to see a non rowdy site with excellent facilities & an Excellent location in South Devon.

We have just returned from Little Cotton Caravan Park which we rate as a 5 star site, all we can do is agree with everything that the last person has said about this site. Most of the people we spoke to have been coming to this site year after year. This was our first visit to this part of Devon and we loved everything about the area, the campsite even the weather was glorious, we will be back.

June 2005 We went on a rally their and what a site, the toilets were spotless the shop sold the essential things and the owners were very helpful as well. Although we were situated on the rally field, the shop and the toilet block didn't feel that far away at all, and the pitches were very roomy. As we walked round the site it was filling up which is a good sign and the wife was very impressed with the dog walking facilities and how clean it was. We were that impressed with the site and the suroundings we will go back in two years time on another rally. The site and pitches are gently sloping but the owner will lend you blocks which is a god send. For me its a site worth noting down in the little black book.

July 2004 My husband and I have had two visits to this site (2003/2004), both visits just prior to the school summer holidays. The site is ideally located for touring south Devon. The staff are very friendly, and the small onsite shop offers all the essentials. The pitches are well spaced out and the vast majority offer electric hook up. A big plus point for this site are the immaculate toilet facilities, they were very spacious, (no queuing for showers in the morning) plenty of hot water and most importantly always spotlessly clean and tidy. They must be one of the best toilet facilities on a caravan/camping site.

August 2004 An excellant site, well maintained, very friendly owners, not overcrowed and some of the best toilet / showers we have ever seen. The on site shop is basic but has all the essentials, well located next to park & ride ( the early morning buses reversing can be annoying, but you get used to them).
We will be going back.

3rd July 2004 Just outside Dartmouth and immediately next to the Park and Ride (if you have tried parking in Dartmouth you will know why this is a bonus) this fine site is ideally situated.
There are 4 fields in total, they all slope slightly but they are kept immaculately. The grass was in excellent shape. There are electric hook up points available on all pitches except in the smallest field reserved for the lightweight tents and backpackers etc where there were just two points.
The shop is open from 8am to 10pm every day and is adequately stocked. The owners are very helpful and friendly and always escort you to your pitch. They are always on hand to help and we found them very understanding when we were being disturbed by some late night revellers.
The toilet facilities have to be seen to be believed, in the 1996/7 season they won an award and it is easy to see why. Spacious, airy, good quality and incredible clean all day. The washing up facilities and laundry are the same. There was the usual compliment of Chemical disposal points, all spotless.
Security is good with cameras and PIR beams everywhere.
If you are pitched at the outer ends of the site you may feel you are too far from the facilities, but they are never more than a short walk away. The quiet and quality of facilities and service will more than make up for this.
We didn't find much for the walkers nearby, but this can be remedied after a short drive, on Wednesdays a boot sale is held right next to the site and that added some interest. Dartmouth is a superb place, expensive, yes, but a great place to mooch around the shops and there is no shortage of places to eat and drink.
This is one fantastic campsite, especially for the carvanners. I would have liked to have seen pitch edge markers as I couldn't tell where one ended and another started, but other than that, I have absolutely no hesitation is recommending Little Cotton to you.

Aug 2002 Excellent stay. Staff really friendly and the shop was well stocked. Toilet/shower blocks were spotless. Park and Ride next to site, with regular buses to Dartmouth. The best site that I have visited so far, cannot fault it at all.
