Can confirm all the good comments about this lovely, friendly site.
Just like to add that they do a special offer for over 50s couples during off season dates (see website link).
Also a good site if weather is not so good as there is a frequent (every 10 mins) bus service from the site to Dartmouth where you can access boat rides, ferries, buses, scenic buses, steam train, Round Robin tour incorporating boat trip, open top bus, steam train and ferry back. Loads of pubs, restaurants, shops, castle, walks, crabbing, fishing or just sit and watch all the activities in the harbour. So something to do whatever the weather. Hopefully no one will have the bad weather we had down in Devon.
Surrounding area has stunning scenery and you can drive around yourself or leave the car/van at the site and use public transport to get around. Worth doing the double decker bus around coast to Plymouth via Slapton, Torcross, etc. Very exciting!

We spent our Easter down here and would highly recommend it. First time in Dartmouth and this site and already have friends/family booking in there. Toilets/showers were absolutely immaculate no matter what time of day you 'visited'. Shop on site but Spar shop at BP garage nearby which was cheaper. Park and Ride next door and only a £1 for all day use and was going up to 7pm in the evening. All staff extremely friendly and escort to your site by Paul which was excellent as first timers so not sure of etiquette, etc. Definitely a well-kept site and would give it 10/10

We have just spent a fabulous 4-day Easter break here. I cannot fault the site at all. The owners/staff were friendly and helpful, the site was extremely well looked after and the toilets/wash facilities were spotless, making for an excellent first trip of 2007! Hope we have many more here and other UK Campsite recommended sites to this high standard. There is a great dog walk - always important for many of us - and the park & ride into Dartmouth is almost outside the site. It's £1 per person per day for as many trips down and back as you like (what a bargain!). The buses run from 9am - 7pm everyday (which included the bank holidays!). They have a shop on site for all essentials or there's a BP garage 5 mins walk away for anything else.

This was our 1st visit to this site, having been coming to the Dartmouth area for 30+ years, we have driven past it thousands of times. We stayed here in our VW camper van for 5 days. We were on a hard standing, tip: to put tent pegs in for the awning bring something to make a pilot hole as they are practically impossible to just hammer in as usual. The toilets and showers are almost clinically clean, in fact all things on this site are! On arrival you are shown to your pitch by extremely friendly staff. The grass is well mowed and short. The dog walk is brilliant, very clean, short grass and enclosed, no obvious escape routes! we let our pup off here for the 1st time as it was so secure, he loved it. Although when we visited it was the start of the season there were quite a few caravans, and 2 tents, brave souls/lunatics, as it was very cold with night frosts! I can think of only one thing that sort of bothered me personally, the site lighting, which was on every hook up and the main lighting at the entrance was very bright, maybe they could tone it down a bit.a highly recommended site which gets 10/10 for cleanliness.

This is one of the best campsites we have ever been to. Visited in first week of school holidays but still plenty of space. Site is very well kept and feels safe for the kids (6 & 2) to run around. We had friends to stay a night and they were very impressed with the dog-walking area. The toilet, shower and washing block is outstanding; very spacious, unlimited hot water and immaculately clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The shop is well stocked but expensive; there is a Spar at the petrol station around the corner. The park and ride next door is very handy for Dartmouth as parking can be a difficult in town. Would recommend this site very highly.

What a wonderful site. We have just spent a relaxing week at this beautiful site couldn't fault it in anyway - toilets and showers were always clean and pristine, shop was well stocked and site was in an excellent location. The dog walk area was fantastic, secure and very clean, my two had a fabulous time running around the enclosed flower beds and watching the rabbits in the next field. Can't wait to go back.

Our second visit and thought it was about time I entered a review. An excellent site and repeat everything that the previous reviews have mentioned. One other feature about this site for campers is the fact that you have your own access to a freezer for your freezer blacks where you just make a donation in the charity boxes each time you use it. You can alos buy ice cubes to for your G&T's for 25p - priceless. One other thing I can guarantee is that your husbands will be very envious of the owners lawn mower!

This is a very large and nice site. You are escorted to your pitch by the very friendly staff. The pitches are very well kept and there is plenty of room. (If your in a camper van bring blocks ) If you are right at the top of the site it is a little way from the toilet block, but not that bad. The toilet block itself is probably the best we have ever seen. And the washing up area is immaculate to. Be aware, the shop is not licenced at all, and if you want a paper you have to order one for the next day. ( No shops near by ).Its a nice walk down to Dartmouth but don't try walking back up, get a ticket for the park and ride at reception. All in all a very good site, would return.

We only stayed one night as we were doing a small tour, but we will definitely be returning! We were so impressed with this site. Although the reception was busy and we hadn't pre-booked our stay, we were given a warm welcome and shown to our site which was spacious, gently sloping and in a lovely quiet field. The whole site was immaculate and very well maintained, the toilet and shower facilities were modern, spacious, well lit and pristine at all times of the day, with unlimited hot water and dividing walls within the shower cubicle to prevent wet clothes! The laundry and dishwashing rooms were also spotless and well equipped. The shop was well stocked and included home baked treats. The convenience of the park and ride facility directly from the site to Dartmouth is definitely worth the £1.00 for a day's worth of travel and saves your legs the steep walk back up the hill. We would definitely recommend a visit.

After a disastrous start of our holiday at another site, we called into Little Cotton hoping to find something a little better than the site we were already at. Well to say a little better is an understatement, this is a little gem. We were made to feel very welcome, by the friendly staff, we were shown a selection of pitches available, and was shown the facilities block.
Without any hesitation we went back to the site already pitched at, threw everything into the caravan and were back at Little Cotton within the hour. Our pitch was gently sloping, with fabulous views across the South Devon Countryside.
The toilet block is very spacious, didn't have to Que for a shower, and were spotlessly clean all of the time. The cleanliness of the site overall was above and beyond any other site we have stayed on. (and we are caravan club members) I even witnessed the owner cleaning the Grey waste drain with bleach and a scrubbing brush on all fours.
We have booked to return later in the year, and as we love south Devon so much. I believe we have now found our base for many years to come. I would rate this site as 5* plus.
