June 2005 just arrived home from Wyreside, had a lovely relaxing break, very welcoming. Good food in restaurant, toilets ok, showers nice and hot, but feel if the site were very busy then more would be needed. Lancaster not far away very nice place, would visit this site again

May 2005 I decided to visit this site based on the previous reviews, and yes the site is set in a beautiful location, and yes the owners are very friendly, and yes the showers and toilets are kept very clean (even though it was end of May bank holiday and very busy). The only problem is that there are only 2 showers (not shower blocks, but showers) and they cost £1 each time (plenty of time though). The toilets and sinks for brushing teeth etc are infact the pub/club toilets, and speaking only for the men's, consist of 1 urinal and 1 pot.

May 2005 Excellent, the only word to describe the site. Bob, Elaine and Sally are fantastic with children so that makes us as parents, feel very at ease. The site is spotless, the toilets and showers are the best we've ever seen. It also helps that theres a play area. The food and drink are well priced and very reasonable. We are definately going back very soon.

May 2005 Highly recomended. Excellent site, bar and restaurant excellent value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Surrounding scenery very nice, Lancaster town center only 10 minute drive. Plenty of attractions within 30 min drive. spot on for fishermen. The only things I would say are its down fall are the play area for kids was a bit small and a lack of toilets. We would definately be going again.

May 2005 This was our second visit to Wyreside Lakes fisheries in just over a month, what a pleasure it was to visit such a friendly and relaxing site. From the moment you arrive till you leave Bob his family and staff make you feel so welcome. The pub / restaurant is the most friendly place I have been while touring in our caravan. The views are fantastic , toilets / showers are immaculately clean. The meals are excellent both in the quality and prices. I would recommend this site to everyone to try and visit.

January 2005 We visited this site at the end of January and we were made to feel very welcome. Once again we were the only tent on the site. On the Saturday night we were joined by a camper van... and apart from one other resident caravaner that was it for the weekend.
The site is set in fantastic surroundings..and had you not been able to hear the very quiet hum of the motorway you could believe that you were in the middle of nowhere. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The bar was great with a roaring log fire.
The showers and toilets were very clean and well kept. The only problem was that they are cold...OK it was January but I think the problem is where they are situated (in the reception building and the door is constantly open.
All in all for campers / caravaners in the north west it's a great place for a quiet weekend.

August 2004 Took my family to this campsite for a long weekend. I can say it was the best one I've been to in 15 years. The staff are so polite and helpful I can't tell you how impressed me and my wife were. The shower's were spotless, the food was brilliant I would reconmend anyone to this site. Can't wait to go back keep up the very good work see ya next year.

Both May Bank holidays 2004 I really like this site everyone there is very friendly. Bod Elaine & family have made us feel like we are part of their family. It is a really big site the views are wonderful. They have entertainment on at weekends. There is a pub and restuarant which caters for everyone. There is ten fishing lakes they will even bring your food down to you when you are fishing. Even little kids seem to love it on the site. You can go on walks, let the kids play on the park, it only takes about 15/20 min's to get to Lancaster town centre, you can get to Fleetwood, Garstang and many other places from there. They even have a Field for Rallys (CARAVANS/TENTS) and the prices are very reasonable. The only thing missing is a little shop on site but 10 min's away is a SPAR I really reccomend this site for all ages.
