Been to this site a couple of times now! It is fantastic and very very relaxed. Facilities are clean and the grounds are kept spotless. There are some lovely woods on site and is a must to visit. The owners are lovely and pleasant to be with. Highly recommended! The views at night are amazing when the sun is setting so try it out!

We have just visited Dale Hey Farm ribchester recently bought a touring caravan, it was beautiful the site was in lovely grounds very tidy and so picturesque especially to wake up to. The site was quiet the only noise was the owls. The toilet block was lovely very clean and warm the showers were spacious and clean. We only come across this site by accident but will definitely be going back nice chilled weekend.

The site is located 1/4 from the historical Roman village of Ribchester with it's own museum, where you can take leisurely walks along the River Ribble, that give a sense peace & tranquility… you'll always remember. The small town of Longridge is only ten minutes by car, providing more than ample shopping facilities, to top up any shopping requirements, Sainburys, Co-Op & Booths, a local supermarket, provide a wide choice and selection a local produce. !
The site & location it's self, is superb & very well maintained, with stunning views of the Ribble Valley & surrounding hills & forest, enhanced by woodland bird song in the morning & evenings, giving a wonderfully sense of a peaceful & relaxing atmosphere… A lot of thought and hard work has gone in to the lay out of the walks through the woodland area, with bins provided along the way for animal refuse, for those who wish to take a stroll and walk there pets.
I have read the previous comments and I have never had any problems with visiting pets, ALL are welcome and pet owners seem to do their very best to avoid causing any nuisance to other visitors, although it seems some people are just happy unless they are complaining. !
Nothing is too much trouble for the site owners who are warm, friendly & try their very best to accommodate, when ever it's possible. Shower/toilet facilities are more than ample & are kept pristine. !
I would personally recommend this site to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay. !

Nice clean well maintained site. Just got back from 5 night stay, 1st trip in our new to us van going from a single axle to a twin. Our pitch was adequate for a twin wheeler although looking at other available pitches, perhaps not the best we could have had for size of van. Wasn't made aware on booking or arrival that there was a rally on a whilst that isn't a problem, they did have a get together in the building behind us on the Saturday night and the noise was distracting and at times audible above our radio in the van. The walk to Ribchester, local town 15mins walk away is on a busy road and even though there is a pavement, it is narrow. Ribchester itself has a nice village feel but not a lot going on in the way of craft or gift shops. Back to the site itself, quiet whilst we were there and weather was a such that no one was about much so no conversations had or stories shared amongst other caravanners. We will not go again but not because of anything negative about the site.

We've just bought ourselves our first motorhome, a Nu Venture, and found Dale Hey Farm as a relatively local stop where we could try it out. My wife and I, and our two young dogs, were completely new to motorhomes so we needed a bit of help - no-one told me you need a cable to be able to connect to the electricity!
We were made very welcome from the off, and an electric cable was produced as soon as we realised we needed it. The site is lovely, really well designed and Catherine and John are improving it all the time. Every pitch is hardstanding (I think) with electricity and a grass patch adjacent - this was great for the dogs as they've never been on holiday before and they enjoyed being tethered out there (thanks for organising the weather too!).
The toilets and showers were clean and efficient and all included in the price. They have a woodland walk that was really nicely kept and this was ideal for giving the dogs a stroll - dogs to be kept on leads which suited us as we do that anyway in consideration for other folk.
Ribchester is a ten/fifteen minute walk and it is very nice village. We ate at the Ribchester Arms and while the others may also be good, they gave us what could be the best pub food we've ever had.
Thanks for our stay - three nights went by in a flash and we're sure to be back soon.

Another lovely weekend at Dale Hey, not sure when we last visited but there are a couple of changes. I think more pitches have been made and the dog walk has been slightly changed but other than that it is the same. Very friendly welcome from Catherine.
There are only two showers in the ladies block but as it was very quiet this did not pose a problem, not sure if two is sufficient for the summer months. The pitches are smaller than I remember we didn't put awning up but if we had done we would not have fitted car next to van, although there is a car parking area.
Great site in great location highly recommended will go back soon

We have had our touring caravan on this delightful site from April to the end of August - we kept extending our stay - we liked it so much and John and Catherine were very accommodating. They are a lovely family.
The site is very well kept with planting and flowers continually added to. The woodland walk, as previous reviewers have said, is very relaxing.
The toilet block is clean and warm.
The location is excellent, rural but close to the village with it's beautiful river view, nice cafes and the Ribchester Arms for eating. (Also try 'Tiggis' Italian restaurant in Clayton-le-Dale).
The site does not have a children's playground but there is a superb one in the village. All in all an excellent site.

Just visited again, been a few times this year, back to caravaning after quite a few years away. The owners were happy to help so don't be afraid to ask nothing is too much trouble. Site quite level and facilities (ehu, water and waste disposal easy to get to) very close to our pitch, good for disabled campers. Owners john and catherine cannot do enough friendly, helpful. Site clean and very tidy, landscaping exceptional. Showers and toilet facilities excellent. Haven't tried the walk yet but intend to do so.
Ribchester and longridge close enough to go to for shopping etc. Also easy to get to coast. Alston arms in longridge reasonably priced. Sainburys in longridge as well
Haven't got children so cannot comment althought the children that have been on site seem to enjoy cycling etc as there is plenty of room mid week for them to play, havn't been at weekend but I am sure the welcome is just as friendly and helpful.

We were looking on line for a one night Monday stop over after visiting family at a neighboring site that wanted to minimum charge for two nights.
Dale Hey was just perfect for us offering very clean toilet facilities and very well maintained grounds.
After booking our pitch at the site in the morning all the family spent a very relaxed day by the river in Ribchester which has excellent nearby parking and play ground facilities.
If you like friendliness with a relaxed approach to touring and a good quiet night's sleep, then visit Dale Hey
