We just got home from a five night stay at Cirencester Park and we absolutely loved it. We had a huge hard standing pitch with a lovely grassy space around us so plenty of room to chase the sun or the shade as necessary.
I was worried by the directions in the site guide warning of a narrow approach but I needn't have been, it was easy to see ahead and spot oncoming vehicles and there are plenty of places to pass.
Being half term there were a lot of children on site but we pitched away from the main play area and had a very peaceful stay. Maybe the weather helped but there was a very friendly atmosphere, a quick trip to the water point could take 20 minutes or more with all the people to chat with.
We parked our car on arrival and didn't use it again until we hitched up to leave because the walks through Bathurst Park and into town were enough to keep us busy.
Food shopping is easy with a Tesco Metro and Waitrose both about 20 mins walk. You can get a few essentials on site and a fish and chip van comes on Tuesday and Friday night.
The only mistake we made was travelling on a Tuesday and since our route takes us through Moreton-in-Marsh we got held up by market day traffic.
As far as the site is concerned I can't wait to go back.

The not so good bits:
The showers. May as well not bother. Water pressure is only just a little more than a dribble. Needs sorting by the caravan club as this lets it down big time. One night went up at 2200 for a shower and it was cold.
As per usual not trying to be a kill joy but the nicely tarmac ring road, sorry skateboard riding circuit is just asking for a problem. Despite the rules saying otherwise, it is used and well used from what we observed.
Access is tight down lane. Observe caravan club entry rules before you get there
Good bits
Nicely located for the town, Some of the new pitches are massive Clean and tidy site Spacious Wardens were pleasant enough but not enough enforcing of the rules Disabled facilities were well thought out Mobile chip shop on site tues / fridays
So ultimately would we go again
If the shower pressures were sorted then we would go back but until then its a no from us. If you were self contained and use your on-board facilities then this would be a good site for you.

Stayed for 4 nights over the New Year. Ideal site for winter caravanning as they have plentiful hardstanding pitches. Close to the town (15 min stroll) plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. There is a Waitrose and a Tesco in the town centre. Site was busy, but showers etc were well maintained. It was very cold when we stayed, and the staff were very helpful with tips on how to defrost things.! Play area was good, and there is plenty of space for kids to run and cycle. Would go back!

This is a large site with mix of pitches, the hard standings are closer together near toilet block. We stayed in that area because of the wet weather would have preferred to go to lower grass pitches part backing onto fields.
The site is well kept toilet/showers good not as
Good as some of the CC sites. Access to the site is narrow and during the weekdays there are lots of students / children walking or riding bikes.
The staff were not the most friendly of wardens
Not typical of CC sites no friendly waves as you pass the office! The majority of campers where over 70 and they also were not the usual friendly members we normally meet perhaps they thought the under 50s should be at work during the week they all seemed to know each other so maybe some rally and didn't like strangers among them.
The town is about 15mins walk bit steep on return but nice shops and pubs. We chose the area as we wanted to visit Swindon which was not far away and a good park and ride scheme. Well worth a trip is the Morton in the March market on Tuesday, parking was difficult next time we would use the CC site there. Discovered great canal side walk and next time we come to this site will take waterproofs and explore it further. Most definitely come here again as its only an hour from home idea for short stay.

This is a lovely open site with good sized pitches which were for the most part quite flat with good access. The site itself is approached along a narrow lane so take care here. The staff are not the most friendly we’ve met to say the least and seem to have had a humour transplant. The shower block seemed to always be wet under foot but was clean enough and seemed to have enough showers and toilets to go round, although this site is for tourers and statics only so it might be a different story if tents were allowed. The surrounding area is very pleasant and Cirencester itself is well worth the visit. Unlike a previous reviewer we never did find the amphitheatre. The shop is non-existent really although apparently you can order papers although this was not pointed out to us on our arrival. We decided to stay on another day but this was not taken as good news by the staff who seemed to be most put out by having to change their white board. I’d not go back to this site merely because the staff there are so uninviting which is a shame and should be addressed by the Caravan Club.

Pleasant site, children's play area small but adequate for short stays. There is a huge playing field for the children, but unless they were older you would have to accompany them. It only consisted of a goal post and tarmac path for cycling on. The park is well placed for walking into Cirencester although not very well signposted to the town centre. The wardens were quite grumpy and the shop sold only part baked bread which was strange as the site is quite a large one. The toilet block was adequate but did need a little updating. The privacy cubicles only had a shower curtain to pull rather than a door. The overall feel to the site is quite natural, with large parkland trees.

A very well kept site and site gardeners are very friendly and do a great job. Toilets are clean but very wet. Reception staff could be a bit more friendly, according to a visitor of mine and my visitor did not even get on site to give me medical items. I am a disabled person, I even got a sort of telling off by receptionist for not letting them know was disabled and required to be quite close to toilet block. I booked through caravan club who told me siting would be sorted out on arrival

Entrance to the site is via a narrow road, alongside Cirencester College (Beware of Students!).
There is a small grass late arrivals area. Reception sells the basics & order papers. Access to & from the site is by electronic barrier card. There are grass or gravel hardstandings.
The toilet block is kept clean but is in need of an upgrade. There is chemical disposal & veg/dishwashing area. Lovely parkland feel to the site, lots of rabbits, even a rumour of foxes & Badgers.
Cirencester is a 20 min walk from the site, access via the park is NOT possible at the moment. Cirencester is a lovely town with shops, Restaurants & supermarkets. We had a delicious lunch at 'Bromfords Deli' with prompt & pleasant service.'Corinium' Museum is worth a visit, a Roman garden, mosaics, saxons etc, admission ticket is valid for all day.
In the afternoon we had a walk to the Amphitheatre (Beware sign is misleading)its off Cotswold Avenue, although its grassed over, budding Russell Crowes will find it interesting (27ft tall in places).
A lovely peaceful site (occasional low aircraft from nearby Kemble airfield, but this is rare).
NB Sat Nav took me to site entrance.

I have just spent five days at this beautiful site,it was very busy and yet was still very tranquil. The staff were friendly, the facilities spotless,it has a decent playground for the kids and most of the pitches are larger than average ,a 20 minute stroll through an attractive park brings you to Cirencester a quaint Cotswold town, without the usual row of department stores in every other place I seem to visit. Google maps show 22 pubs in the town alone and we saw plenty of places to eat ,if you don,t want to cook. If you do want to,there is a large waitrose in the town and a tesco super store right on the edge of town. Bibury is 9 miles away and swindon and gloucester are about 22. But you really don't need to move the car ,as there is plenty to see and do right here.My wife and I went for 5 days ,it was so good that after3 days we went home for 2 of our kids and our grandson and they loved it too . Will we return - most definitely, when I finish this I will book a week in October

Spent the half term week here with my wife and 2 children (9&4), although the weather was mixed we had a great time. Site is in a beatuful location on the verge of a walled park. We walked up to watch the cricket team play most dry evenings, the last night they invited us to play (appeared to be a dad n lads night) The area is beautiful, with lots of quaint towns / restaurants nearby. Site was good, clean and tidy, but I felt the shower blocks were not kept up to the standard of some cc sites we have been to, this is my only criticism and it is a minor one. A tip, as the site is big and the hardstand pitches get used up, if you follow the road around to the site into the right hand corner as you enter, there appeared to be pitches available with hardstandings, this area sees to be a backwater and is lovely and quiet. all in all a great site in a beautiful location.
