We'd been recommended this site and was within striking distance of home for a quick weekend away.
As one of the year-round CAMC sites, it was busy, and we chose a pitch down towards the bottom, which was a bit muddy.
Weather didn't help, so couldn't do as much exploring although in a great location; but amenities block was spotless.

First time at this site due to the many previous positive reviews and we were not disappointed. A lovely site in beautiful surroundings.
Access to the site is unusual but was not an issue. On the Cirencester ring road follow signs for Stroud. On the A419 signposted for Stroud you have to turn right in about 50 yards after the roundabout (new CMC signage is well positioned) then follow the road before turning left into a lane to the site which is about 250 yards further on past Cirencester College. This lane is narrow but you should have no problems passing other vehicles as there are plenty of passing places but some have deep potholes so take care!
The site facilities are excellent with two very good motorhome service areas one large and one smaller wash block and plenty of water and waste points. Over 200 pitches well spaced out with a choice of grass & hard standing standard plus several full service pitches. All pitches have 16 amp electric hook up. Some pitches are sloping so you will need chocks.
The only negative with this site is that some of pitches encourage people to continually walk through them and they do! This is because of the way the site is laid out but if you can pick the right pitch it is not a problem.
Cirencester is a 15/20 min walk away either via the park or the main road. What a delightful place it is with plenty of places to eat, drink and visit. We visited the Corinium Museum which was excellent and we highly recommend it.
Overall a pleasant 3 night stay but we could have easily stayed much longer as the location is excellent and has a lot to offer so we highly recommend this site. We will definitely return.

We spent 2 nights on this site to break a journey to North Devon.
This is a site that never disappoints. It's immaculate, the staff are very welcoming and it's well-placed for a walk into town via the Bathurst Estate, made even more interesting this time as they are having to clear some of the older trees.
It was market day in Cirencester and the market is always worth a visit.
The site has a weekly visit from a mobile pizza van, which is very good value

Huge site but very quiet and peaceful, facilities spotless, showers very powerful and not the push button type as is usual for the camh club.
15 minute walk into town and short drive to supermarket.
Play area for children and small shop, very good site

Stayed one night as a stopover on our travels, having stayed before we new the site was close to the town via an easy walk through the park, which also doubles up as the dog walk.
Arriving late afternoon, we hadn’t appreciated that access to the park is only until 5pm and you are advised not to enter if you can’t exit before then as the gates are locked. The walk along the road into town is just as easy, with footpath all the way, this just meant the dogs didn’t get an off lead run.
The site is not particularly private and the layout seems to encourage people to walk in between pitches. Facilities are up to the usual CC standards - warm and clean.

This is really an update of my previous review. Changes since that stay include the introduction of sixteen serviced pitches available at an additional nightly fee.
We made use of one of these serviced pitches. Our only concern was that it had a slope which required a fair bit of levelling, not so easy with a motorhome!
One of the motorhome service points has been converted to the open grill type which is an improvement.

Easy to find site, slightly bumpy access road, but totally fine with care. Well situated for the town with an easy walk through an attractive park into the town.
Large site with lots of pitches, so in the quieter months plenty of space. Grass and hard standing pitches.
Good facilities blocks, warm, modern and clean. Grey, elsan and water and rubbish points dotted around the site, so never far to walk to these. Motorhome waste drive over point.
Friendly and accommodating wardens when we visited in December. Basic supplies in the office and main supermarkets in the town.
Would definitely return.

The site is set in great location for visiting Cirencester town centre just a 15/20 min walk away.
Care is needed on the entrance to site as it is narrow road with cars coming down and school children walking around.
Nice welcome only stopping for a few nights on way home so cant comment on what to do in area.
Standard site facilities you expect from club site.
Very dog friendly place didn't have any problems with finding somewhere to eat or drink.
The problem I found with the site was the amount of people cutting across other people pitches and not just kids. As we backed on to some hedges we had people crossing right in front of van and cutting through the hedges.
It felt like we were in goldfish bowl. The site only gets a 7 due to lack of privacy.

This is a lovely caravan and camping site and even though this is a large site it is quiet and perfect for families.
It has a nice play area for children and the staff are always on hand to help with any queries.
There are 2 large facility blocks which are kept spotlessly clean.
A short walk through the Bath Hurst estate takes you into the village where there are plenty of places for a lovely meal and drink along with a village of shops to browse around.

We spent 6 nights on this site in a party of 3 adults and 2 children. We have used this site two or three times previously and when stumped for a venue for a half term trip with grandkids, Cirencester sprang to mind. The facilities were well up to the standard we have come to expect from CMC sites and are kept immaculately clean.
Cirencester is ideally placed for days out and the town itself is a 10/15 minute walk away via the Bathurst Estate park and offers a wide selection of individual shops. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants. Our particular favourite is the Black Horse. It's 'only pub grub' but their Gloucester Black Spot sausages come very highly recommended.
Our days out included the Swindon Steam museum - the adjacent designer outlet also proved popular with the ladies, Tetbury, Stroud and Gloucester, where the revitalised Quays are well worth a visit.
The grandchildren are already planning their next visit
