We found this site by chance as we needed an overnight pitstop before catching the ferry to Mull. We arrived when it was almost dark but the reception we received was very welcoming. We took a stroll that evening down to the sandy beach and was gutted that we hadn't found this place earlier. Unforutnately, we were up and off early the next morning because we would have loved to have stayed there longer. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic site! Small and friendly, quiet with welcoming owners. The site was a little tricky to locate but a good size for both tents and caravans. The toilet blocks were basic with some problems with hot water but they were spotlessy clean and well stocked. Most importantly for us the site was midge free!
There is an excellent local cafe (Ben Lora) the owner did everything possible to welcome us with tasty homemade food and very good value for money.
Lots of access for kayaking/canoeing.
The beach is very near and clean, calm spot suitable for families. The surrounding area is unspoilt and stunning.
There is a small zip wire near the beach. There is very few local shops and attractions but many castles and facilities in nearby Oban and a whiskey distilery which was informative and reasonably priced. The local Rare breeds farm which is on a lot of maps is closed down as is the Invercreran house hotel (again on alot of maps).
We went as a group of students on a kayaking holiday and had a brilliant time!

This is a gem of a site. We only stayed one night while waiting to catch the ferry to Mull but would have stayed longer if possible. Violet, the owner, is one of those exceptional people who makes you feel welcome instantly.
The toilets and showers are probably not the best but very clean with real towels! There is a camping shop and a small store in the village. About 15 mins from Oban where you can get everything you need.
We will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

This is a lovely site, my hubby 3 girls and I camped for 4 nights there. The owner, Violet, is a lovely wee woman she offers to make tea and home baking for a donation for charity, she also offered to machine was my clothing for 50p bless her. She also keeps the shower and toilet blocks spotless. The beach just 5 minutes away is a lovely white sandy one. I will be definitely going back.
