Grass pitches, but well drained (sand under the grass) so no problems with them. Tidy, nicely laid out and with good sea views. A new (luxurious!) facilities block for 2014 (additional to the existing one). Friendly and helpful owner. Clean.
Dog walk at the rear of the site and a nice dog-friendly beach is only a couple of minutes away down a lane.
Overall, this is cheaper than nearby CC and C&CC sites and - unless you want the extra facilities they provide like children's play area (we didn't) - is a much better bet!

Just back from a 2-day visit to the Oban area and have to say Seaview is one of the best, if not THE best, site I have been on and I am a mature person so have been on many sites! Duncan was very helpful and is concerned about the environment of his site rather than packing as many punters in as possible which is a very refreshing attitude to have in this monetary mad world we live in. Everything was spotless and we got the feeling that if Duncan saw someone coming out of the toilet or shower block he immediately rushed over to clean it up ready for the next person! The showers cost £1 for 10 minutes which was way beyond the time span required for a shower. They were so big that we saved money and water by sharing one - and very nice it was too! Brilliant site and cannot recommend it highly enough - am planning my next trip as I write And not just for the shower experience!

Great site with very clean and modern facilities. Access is easy and grassy pitches are pretty level. Dog walk is good and the site was very well looked after, the owner was always doing something. Busy man and very pleasant and helpful.
Fish and chips available close by and nice village a few minutes walk on a quiet road.
Just off site there is access to an amazing and deserted beach which would be safe for kids to play.
Very pleased overall.

This is an absolute gem of a site.
If you love breath taking views, friendly campers and want to encourage children to enjoy the outdoors, then this is the place for you.
Duncan and his wife who run the site are most helpful and will go out of their way to offer help without being intrusive. Duncan is visible on site from dawn until dusk and loves a friendly blether.
All of the facilities are immaculate and the beach, children's play park, forest walk and chip shop are all less than 5 minutes walk.
Although the site itself has no play park, children have freedom to play in the field and Duncan will usually have a friendly chat with the children. Our kids (4 aged between 7-8) all thought he was fantastic and he regularly taught them something about the wildlife or area!
I am reluctant to share what a treasure this place is in case it gets too busy, but I don't think The owners would ever put money over the experience so I wanted to commend the amazing wee set up they have.
Plan on returning here for a long weekend at least once per year as the views here and the tranquility will recharge even the most stressed executives batteries.

Very pleasant site with easy access to a lovely beach. During booking and throughout our stay the owners were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The views from the pitches are beautiful, looking straight out to sea.
We visited in our motorhome and had a gravel pitch with grassed area to pitch our awning and for the kids to play on. There is no play area but with the beach nearby our three (age 9, 7 and 4)did not seem to miss it at all.
Shower and washing facilities are a bit limited, only 2 toilets and 1 shower (separate men's abs ladies) but are kept spotlessly clean and as this is not a huge site this was not a problem. The owners also stated that at the end of the season they are investing in a new shower block.
There is a good clean area for washing dishes and a hut with fridge and microwave.
Excellent recycling facilities and good dog walking area(although our 6month old lab loved the beach best)
Within easy access of all the great tourist activities of Oban and the surrounding areas, this site is great either for a longer stay ie for a stopover on the way to the Islands. Local shops fish and chips etc in Benderloch itself.
Cost is very reasonable, we were charged £21 per night (2 adults, 3kids, dog motorhome and awning.
We will definitely return and as owners of a campervan rental company (www. Justchillincampers. Co. Uk)we would certainly recommend it to our customers venturing to the Scottish Highlands.

Brilliant site. Owner and his partner are both friendly, attentive and go out of their way to help when needed but are never intrusive. The site and facilities are always spotlessly clean and tidy and the local scenery is absolutely fantastic with plenty to see and do locally. Thank you for a great holiday. This site is good value for money. Has direct access to the beach (about 400metre away) and is Dog Friendly with its own dog walk - no camping fee for dogs.

Wonderful view of Benderloch and within walking distance to a number of shops (groceries, off sales, camping gear, bookshop and an excellent restaurant), The site itself had a fridge and microwave in a small wooden building with
5 or 6 tables and chairs. The site and facilities were clean and well cared for. Duncan and his wife helpful friendly and accommodating.
I have booked in for another stay in two weeks time.

We visited this site because of it's good reviews. It is everything people have said about it. We managed to stay 2 extra nights but were sorry to leave. The owners are among the most helpfully we have encountered. We didn't use the showers the toilets in the temporary block were always clean and fresh. The views are superb. Loved the croft aspect lambs sheep cattle rabbits heard the cuckoo. The bluebells in the wood behind the site were amazing.
Benderloch has all we need in the way shops. Value for money the Dalrannoch Cafe near Barcaldine. A treat for the first night fish and chips from the diner van at Tralee. It was fairly quiet when we were there weather was great so is was a bit busier at the weekend. Children seemed to be enjoying it it was ideal weather for the beach at the bottom of the croft. If you want super market Oban has Co op Tesco Aldi and Lidl.

I am so pleased that we chose this site. We arrived the weekend before the bank holiday, to a beautiful view across the the Isle of Mull.
The grass pitch was well drained and easy to level the caravan, apart from a few tents in front of us we had a view straight out to the mountains of Mull. It isn't far from any of the pitches to the facilities. The toilet block was kept very clean, even though there were only two toilets in each to the ladies and gents. The site did get a lot busier towards the bank holiday when perhaps it would have been better with a couple more toilets. We did not use the shower block.
There is plenty to do in the area. We went on a trip to the islands to see Puffins and the Caves of Scarpa, this took all day and wasn't cheap but well worth the effort. If you have your bike the Bike paths in the area are excellent. A visit to Oban is a must, visit the distillery and have a lovely sea food lunch.
We will certainly be back again.

My first camping in a tent for over 40 years which turned out to be a wonderful reintroduction. I found this site via UKCampsite. I had booked up for two days, however booked an earlier stay the day before and spent three nights with tent at £6 per person per night. There are other campsites in the area, some for static caravans, and others which looked unsuitable for tents, Seaview being the only one over looking the sea! Also, you are not too aware of other sites.
The owner greeted me at the gate and directed me to my pitch, only one other tent there with a few caravans and camper vans. Weather had been dry, no snow but cold, max during the day 7C at night -5C, gentle Easterly breeze cloudless sky. The owner pointed out the various amenities, shower which is 50p for 10 minutes, toilets etc. Also, there is a ‘canteen’ which just hits the spot for tent camping in inclement weather. It has tables/chairs, microwave and fridge/freezer, the latter not being required during my stay due to the ambient temperature.
Once set up I had a look around, everything was tidy and spotless. I have to admit my face dropped when I discovered that there was not a pub near by, however the owner told me about the Hawthorn Restaurant under 200 yards away. I went there on the first night, small immaculate Husband and Wife establishment. Food was local where possible and delicious. Their dishes cooked to order – go for the mixed platter for pudding, indulgent, but here to enjoy. (home made ice-cream a must)
Benderloch the local village is about six to seven hundred yards from campsite. You can walk along the beach to get there or by road, beach more interesting and very nice. There is a reasonable shop for such a small place which also incorporates a post office. Next to it is a shop which sells camping equipment, toys, kites etc. There is also a Café/book shop on the same side of the road as campsite, home baking, good tea and coffee, lite meals and a nice selection of bottled beers, some local and well worth a try.
There is a fish and chip shop on a residential campsite close by (chips still too hot to touch after a walk back to site, that kind of close) which seems to be modelled on a Streamline trailer – made to order and best fish and chips best ever, another must try.
Talking of must try, there is Segway hire next to fish and chip place (no pun intended), I’m hopeless on skies or skates (still no pun) but this was so easy. Great instructor, very patient, and once you get to the hang of it, a trip through the woods (off road Segway!) exciting and great fun.
The area of South Shian is well worth exploring on foot, great walks. Oban, main ferry point with rail connections to Glasgow and Principal Town in the area is a 15 to 20 min drive and also a good bus service from Benderloch. Oban Airport is very close to the site, flights I understand to the Hebrides. When I visited Oban the town was alive, no vacant shops, lots of places to eat, hotels and lots to see. Go further north from Benderloch and there is a sealife sanctuary, good fun for children of all ages and a bit of subliminal education thrown in. Keep going north and you come to Appin, turn off the road on left to Port Appin nice spot although parking can be an issue. You can take a passenger ferry from Port Appin to the Island of Lismore, bike hire is available. Lismore being unique in this area due to a different soil composition, bursting with all sorts of fauna and flora.
So to sum up, great camp site, looked good for children playing and safe. All comers welcome, peaceful and little light pollution, I’d never seen so many stars with the naked eye. I’m going back for sure, but when a tad warmer.
