The friendly, warm, welcome here is always fantastic. The site facilities are immaculate and the views of the bay are breath taking. The kettle and microwave on site meant we just had to pre heat what we'd cooked the day before which was great. Good price at £6 per person per night for 2 adults in a tent and this site has recently updated it's facilities, we love the fact that you can lock yourself into a cubicle with sink mirror etc. To spruce up. Our labradors like this place even more than we do! A BIG THUMBS UP Many thanks to all the family who run and take care of this fantastic site.

Just come back from another lovely holiday at this site. Thought an up to date review was in order. The owner was friendly as ever and the facilities were predictably clean with lots of hot water.
Best things are you don't have to pay for showers.
The price £12 per couple per night in a small tent is brilliant value.
It is a very quiet site perfect for a good rest.
Although there are necessary rules about keeping bbq's off the ground, no groups and no noise, this is not a site which has a rule for everything it is very laid back.
The views are just stunning nothing better than opening the tent and seeing the sea and cliffs.Thick very clean grass and good ground for pegs.
Dog friendly
Good for walks.
The washrooms are new and very clean.
The site seems to be in a good spot for sunshine.
Worst things,
The campsite is on a slope which can be tricky for tents but we think it's worth it.
It is open all year round and so in February can be a bit boggy in places best to ask before you pitch at these times.
It is very quiet, so I think probably best for couples and young families. There isn't a huge amount of entertainment in walking distance, but there is a good bus service and lots to do by car.
Showers need a bit of updating but they have tons of hot water.
This is a family run campsite on a working farm you aren't going to find a games room, pool, kids room etc.

I don't usually bother to add to reviews when there are so many already on, but having just had a really lovely weekend here I thought I would, if only to sing the praises of the owners, who made us so welcome and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating! When we arrived on Friday evening we were given help to pitch our van on a sloping pitch at the site - the owner hitched up his 4x4 and drove it onto a huge block - made sure it was secure, and then went round and lowered all the feet so he could check it was level for us.
Today when we left he came down again and helped us off and drove it up the hill to the entrance.
Also when we asked if we could stay longer today so we could have our lunch before we left we were told it was no problem at all.

We spent a lovely week at Hooks House campsite and really didn't want to leave. The views are stunning and although the campsite is on an incline, once you got used to it everything was fine. The site was kept spotlessly clean especially the toilets and showers. A nice touch was the free use of a fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave in the kitchen/wash-up area. The site owners were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely walk down to Robin Hoods Bay which took about 20 minutes or walk along the coastal path or disused railway line to Whitby. Handy bus stop right outside of the site for Whitby or Scarborough. In fact we hardly used our car the whole week we were there.
We will definitely be back.

We have just spent the last two weekends at Hooks House Farm and can't say how great this site is, for only £17 per night for 2 of us with a large tent with electric hook up we thought it was good value, by far the best thing about this site was the spectacular views, definitely the best place to stay to get such brilliant views.
The facilities were good, individual mens and ladies toilet and shower block, individual washrooms all very clean and a kitchen area with microwave, kettle, washing up facilities and 2 fridges and a freezer as well as an outside washing up area. What else could you need. The site was fairly busy with tents and caravans and motorhomes but we never saw any queues for any of the facilities. The owners are lovely and friendly and seem to be on hand for anyone who needs any assistance at all. They do require a deposit wen booking but this was great for us as on our second weekend we requested the same pitch. There is a slope but if you pitch right there is no problem at all.
Only a five minute walk into the town of Robin Hood Bay, which was beautiful, lovely craft shops and the wonderful Old Bakery Tearooms do the most amazing breakfast and homemade cakes so definitely worth a visit. The beach was lovely and clean as was the whole village. Also worth the 5 mile drive to Whitby.
Overall we were really impressed by this site and can not wait to return.

Went to this site after reading the reviews on here. I am so glad we did, what a fab little site on a working farm. £7.00 pppn on non EHU if you stay more than one night, otherwise £7.50 bargain.
The owner was a lovely lady, showed us where the facilities were, how to get into Robin Hoods Bay and told us to pitch where we wanted.
We chose a flat pitch at the bottom of the site, the rest of the site is slightly sloping. The views over the bay are breathtaking, in fact views from every angle are!
The toilets were very clean and saw them being cleaned every day. There is even a socket in the ladies, ideal if you need to plug in the straighteners.
In the washing up area there is a kettle and a microwave free to use, what a lovely touch.
Only a 10 minute walk into Robin hoods Bay, some excellent pubs and restaurants or 10 minute drive to Whitby.
Overall this site is excellent and we will definitely be returning.

A great welcome and practical help and equipment to place and level the caravan made a wonderful start to our holiday. Electric hook up is limited and you probably need to book in advance to ensure you get it. The view over the bay is stunning and the gently sloping site means you everyone can see it.
The facilities were always clean but like another reviewer we thought an extra shower or two would be most welcome. A safe field for kids to play in and good dog walks with easy downhill access to the beach and a service bus back up the hill all added to the pleasure of the stay.
Whitby is less than 5 miles away and provides the only nearby large shops with both a Lidl and a Coop. The Bay Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay and the Hare and Hounds in nearby High Hawkser can both be recommended for good food and service. Like many others who were there we will be returning to Hooks House Farm.

Just spent 4 nights here and what a fantastic campsite. The Views are stunning!
It's a great base to explore the local area - Staithes, Whitby, Goathland, Scarborough and the rest that North yorkshire has to offer.
Showers are clean, and hot only 2 of each mind, but I didn't have to queue once! Mind, did go for shower about 7am! There are individual washrooms as well.
Nice and quiet at night, no all male groups are aloud, mostly families and couples.
Camp fees were reasonable as well, cost us £24 a night for 2 adults and 3 children.
All in all this is a fantastic little gem of a site that I will definitely be using again.

I've visited this site numerous times over the years, this is one site I will keep on going back to. Great views over Robin Hoods Bay, there are excellent facilities, especially the kitchen area.
Very good toilet/shower facilities. A very clean and tidy site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Cannot think of anything to criticise this site, its one of my favourite places and I hope I get there again this year. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Just had a fab week at the Campsite. Facilities were excellent, always clean and plenty of them so no queueing for hours to get a shower!
Gill and family were friendly and helpful; which makes it my top campsite so far!
Close to whitby and Scarborough with lots of local walks and a lively little village in the Bay. Beautiful views over the bay and good access to the paths leading to the village.A real gem of a campsite; we will definitely be coming back!
