Have visited this site every year since we've had a caravan. Ideally situated for the Channel ports and Chunnel is usually open March to October. The site has a big foreign clientele group .
The site is split into different sizes of field with large mature hedges , and has a small restaurant and bar on site open from Easter for high season only--and very friendly too.
There are a few static's on site but the main usage is foreign people arriving and departing from holidays You could be the only English campers there. Lots of campers and backpackers call here before their Ferry Crossings
It is a 10 minute walk to the town, and the small but pleasant beach at the foot of the cliffs . Route--Down to the Café at the cliff top then down the steps to the sea wall promenade under the Railway bridge ( tackle shops here for Sea Fishing also the Dive shop too) and round the Harbour
This site is in the middle of the Warren nature reserve so expect to see lots of animals and birds when it is quiet (especially rabbits well it is on the warren). This is one of my favourite sites on the South Coast if only because we have visited it so much Especially on Hypermarche raids we make each year. Yes you can see France from the patio outside the bar!

A brilliantly situated site, great walks up cliffs to the Battle of Britian Memorial site, and fantastic channel views, from cafe, bar which was excellent. Usual mud, but site staff friendly and helpful, caravans and tents, basic showers and toilets, which had problems over summer holidays, but such a beautiful site. Good paths and hikes to town, steep area.

23/5/03 Superb little site, very friendly and helpful. Walks are great, a little steep but the roll down from the Pub is fine! Mens showers seem to be a bit chilly but the ladies is fine. Handy little cafe that is also used by the locals, good cheap food, small beer garden can't think of anything I would change!

June 1999 A great little site, though not much room to spread out. Brilliant views down over the cliffs. Watch your step if you head out for a pee in the night or you'll end up crahing down through the undergrowth. The place isn't quite the same since Charles and his moustache moved on. Mantovani on the radiogram was a quirky must!
