We have recently been to this site and all i can say is that we fully enjoyed it. You have to book on bank holidays and certain times of the year but for the most part you can just turn up.
This was the 2nd time we've visited this park and both time we have been impressed by the facilities and the attitude of the owners.
The facilities are spotless with individual cubicals with showers or wash basin and mirrors. Both blocks are no more than a 5 min walk from anywhere on site.
There are 2 touring fields and plenty of electric and hardstanding pitches. Fields are large and flat so made camping in a tent very comfortable.
Owners were very friendly and laid back (not seen very often when going away in a group of young people) Were more than happy to help and offer advice and make you feel welcome.
Entertainment on site was ok disco in barn most nights, pub, take away and Cafe. Cheap Beer !!
Although park was busy there was hardly any noise.
Only complaint was the way we were treated in the pub called the Albion in Wem itself, we know that there are select people who spoil it for other young people in that they cause trouble and give us a bad name, but we had been in this pub the night before had a meal and a few drinks and had a great night ( (with No problems), but when we returned there was a different bar maid on who spoke to us as though we were something she had just scraped off her shoe, we had only sat down and she had come over to us to ask us what we thought we were doing in there ( we had gone in for another meal) she said that we were only in ther to get warm and that we werent old enough to drink ( the youngest of us is 21) we thought this was a disgusting way to speak to people. Although we can recommend the old post office people were very welcoming and food was delicious!!
