Fantastic site, lots of park rules but this keeps out the rowdy element, very clean toilet facilities and I will definitely return here if I return to the area. I would recommend this site to all but please remember to book as it is very busy in the summertime.

This site is excellent. It is pretty quiet but lovely. It has a park for the children which is very safe. The club house has a soft play area for the younger children. The toilets and showers are probably one of the best I have seen they are cleaned at least 3 times a day and currently hold an award for the best toilets 2007. Overall a lovely site not far away from local attractions. Would go again without a doubt.

Don't let the size of this place put you off, well maintained and well spaced out. If you want quiet tents can be pitched in a orchard / walled garden area - very tranquil - but you can go main stream sites if you want. Be selective of your pitch and you can have whatever type of break you want. Something for everyone

Just returned from a 3 night break at this wonderful place! We really didn't realise just how big this site was! Staff were really helpful and friendly especially the night wardens, as we didn't arrive till 8.30pm. Our first night we spent in the bar on site. Drinks were well priced and food was being served till 9pm. We did enter the bar at 8.45pm only to be told that the chef had just gone home! :( So we opted for a chinese takeaway and it was delivered to the site within half an hour! (V.tasty too) The second night we visited the onsite bar again where there was a general knowledge quiz and a few games of bingo to be had! (Good fun after the effect of alcohol started to work!) Anyway, all in all this site is brilliant! On the plus side, the pitches in the "old orchard" were massive with more than enough room for an awning etc. Food in the bar was also good value. Toilet block was one of the best we have ever visited and as previous people have pointed out, the piped music in the showers was a great touch! Staff all friendly and helpful and the full site was spotless. On the down side, we had real problems getting a tv signal and we eventually gave up trying on the 3rd day! We think this was more to do with our position within the orchard. We would highly recommend this site to others!

For me, cleanliness of the facilities is one of the most important factors and this site was spotless. The toilet block was highly maintained and clean with plenty of room and even piped music. The clubhouse was cosy and friendly and the kids would have played all day in the soft play if they could have. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pitches were spacious and well maintained all with individual hook-ups. Highly recommended. I will visit here again in the future.

August 2002 We thought this site was great - plenty for the kids to do with sand pit, playing fields, crazy golf and the like. There is an on site pub which has a pool table etc. There is also a great camping gear shop on site and the food shop is in the post office where you can freeze your ice blocks if you ask nicely!

A very nice site, good size pitches. The bar on site is very nice, up to date great for family's and lovely food. The shop on site sells everything you need for caravan and camping, but don't sell food, there is a small shop just off the site. The toilets and showers block is the best I have seen there is music playing into the block, and are very clean. A nice walk to Bewick about 20mins. I would go back to this site and would recommend this to family and friends.

This is a lovely relaxing site, the super pitches had waste drainage, water taps, and they were seperated by hedge rows. There is a nice pub on site which serve meals and the people are very friendly. The dog walks can take you around the edge of the site. Will be going back again.

Very well maintained site. Music in the loos- handy for limbering up for the Saturday night karaoke in the Club House. Bingo and Quiz on Friday. Arrived at 6.30 pm and had to pay fees and £5 deposit for toilet key to Night porter who was friendly and helpful. All touring sections are within east walking distance of main toilet block. The large recreation field was a good idea. Football goals at either end. Ideal for that family kick-about. Nice meals in the Club House. Excellent service from the staff. Popping back for another weekend again in a couple of weeks time.

September 2005 Enjoyed our visit to this site. We were pleased with the pitch we were allocated, although it was lacking a bit of grass - to be expected I suppose at this time of year.
Great play park and safe for children to play. Toilet block was fantastic - large and clean, and was pleased to see family bathrooms.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely go back!
