Beautiful little site! Basic but has all you need!
Very helpful owners. Also had electric hook up.
There are 2 fields on each side of a quite busy road during the day, at night it’s peaceful and great for star gazing.

Good site & facilities but dog barking all day & night was both disturbing & distressing. Couldn’t find anyone around to speak to then another camper said owner away

Me and my parents enjoyed such a lovely extended weekend. Campsite was very laid back and quiet. A maximum of 8 units on the non EHU field. And nicely spaced out too.
Only one family unit/bubble per toilets/showers which are across the road in the same block so difficult if you need the bathroom while someone from another bubble is showering as you can't go in, But we only waited a couple of times to be honest. A stunning 45 mins walk down to Reeth on the swale trail.
Would recommend supervising children to the toilets from the Non EHU field as the road to cross can be busy and cars and bikes speed down it.

Nice big quiet field next to the river was perfect for us, with level ground. There were larger groups in other fields (one includes EHU pitches).
Clean facilities with a distancing rule of family bubble only in the block at any time, never created any major queuing issues.
Very reasonable pitch fees, only £6pppn. Very friendly owners

Lovely little site on a working farm, as uncommercial as you can get. Very helpful, laid-back owners.
There are 2 fields. The EHU field is on a slope with the flattest pitches next to the road. We stayed on the non-EHU field which is over the road, next to the river.
This was beautifully flat and a lovely place to pitch though it is over the road from the toilet block which may be a problem if you have children.
The road runs alongside the camping field so there is some traffic noise, but it's not a very busy road and there is virtually no traffic at night. The owls and sheep made far more noise!
There are two electric showers, two toilets and two washbasins in a unisex block which is unheated. There was unlimited hot water while we were there. I understand it's solar powered so may be more limited early & late in the season especially if the weather is bad.
There is an area with hot water where you can wash pots but there is no artificial light in there. No freezer or electric sockets for hairdryers or recharging phones. Phone reception is patchy anyway and you probably wouldn't be in this area if you relied on the internet.
Basic supplies are available in Reeth which is about 2 miles away, which also has some cafes and 3 pubs which all serve food. In the other direction you are just over a mile from the Punch Bowl at Low Row. For a bigger shop you need a bigger town such as Leyburn, Richmond or Hawes.
Overall it's a great little site for people who like to keep things simple, and great value for money.

We come here as a family every year. It’s a very relaxed site, the facilities are basic but more than adequate.
We love that it’s simple, there’s no mobile signal (unless you’re on EE) so we have a digital detox.
The scenery is stunning and there are lots of places to walk.
It’s a lovely working farm run by a friendly helpful family.

I stayed at Scabba Wath Campsite on 26-27th July, 2019, and loved it.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. They are also relaxed and allow late checkout, so there was no frantic rush to pack up.
Situated well, the campsite is 2 miles from Reeth centre, and is surrounded by gorgeous countryside.
My friends and I got a little lost following Google Maps there. Basically, from Reeth centre, follow the road until you reach the bridge - A green sign can then be seen on the right marking the campsite and you turn right into Park House.
There are 2 parts:
1) Electric hookup (EHU) by the house.
2) Non-EHU by the river.
The unisex toilet block is behind the house, so be aware that pitching by the river would mean crossing a quiet road to get to the toilet/shower.
As there was availability on the day, the owner very kindly let me pitch in the EHU field.
The toilet block itself was clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
The showers were also clean, spacious, lovely and hot, and are inclusive of the pitching price.
The pitching price is extremely reasonable, at only £6 pppn for non-EHU.
Wifi was only available near the toilet block.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, would highly recommend it, and would definitely stay again.
