A very handy site for a stopover from the channel, but do not neglect the interesting and historical area of Picardy and the north.
The site is very popular so arrive before 4-00 pm. In some ways it is too popular: during our stay of 3 nights, additional units were placed on the roadway through the site and neither the facilities nor the electricity supply could cope. More showers and toilets are needed.
Cambrai centre is worth a visit and has a good market on Saturday morning.

An ideal stop off from Calais about 2hrs. Sign in office window to pitch where you like if no one there & it wasn't a problem that we pitched on a pitch for motorhomes! Good, clean facilities & very helpful warden who speaks good English. Used by workers at one end but a quiet site even though it is in a residential area. Two supermarkets within walking distance & the town about 15 min walk, very pleasant. 12 euros with no electric. We would use again.

Stopped here for first night of this years holiday. Site was very full, managed to get two pitches in the far part of the site, across from the little playground. There seemed to be a large number of workers based in this area, leaving and arriving back early in the morning. Stayed just the one night, paid in the morning and were only charged for one pitch. Manager was very accommodating, and spoke good english. Facilities were fine although a long trek from where we were. Used the buffalo grill for a meal and WiFi was free. Would use again as a convenient distance from Dunkerque, and hopefully all the construction workers will have moved on.

We've used this site for a couple of years but I think it's fair to say it's a victim of its own popularity. We called in twice this year (outbound and homebound) and it was absolutely packed. Nice toilets and showers, but not very many of them. There's a defib by the washing up sinks too. Hope you never need to know that!
There is also a Buffalo Grill directly opposite and a large supermarket (open to 12:30 on Sundays!) just round the corner.
We tried really hard to book this year, as there aren't that many sites in the area, but there really is no point as it's first come first served. A good site for a stopover though.

This site is really excellent value for money. We stayed for 5 nights with electric for €62. 5. We had no children with us but there is a playground for kids at the lower end of the site. The best pitches are on the left as you drive into the site - all are separated by hedges. The site is close to the interesting town of Cambrai (15 minutes walk), great cycle route along the canal to Marcoing and further if you wish. Loads of ww1 places and cemeteries to visit if you're interested (you should be!). A great site with really good staff. Exceptionally clean facilities and spacious pitches which are maintained meticulously by the staff. Fills up after 2pm because lots of people use this site as a stopover on the journey to and from the ferry ports so get there before 2pm if you can. We thought the overnighters were missing a great place to explore and a really interesting region of France. Go and try it, you won't regret it but don't tow your caravan down to the lower end of the site without checking first as it's very tight to turn around if it's busy. Some people have mentioned the noise from tfaffic at this site. Its is close to the town and a road does pass close by but we never found it to be intrusive at all. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and are a mine of local information. Good English is spoken too if you struggle with French. We will definitely be going back again either late September or perhaps next year for a longer stay.

We stayed at this site as our first overnight stop about two hours after arriving at Calais mid afternoon on a Sunday. The reception was not open but a notice advised that we could set up on a pitch and deal with payment later, which we did. The chap at reception was around later on and was very friendly and spoke good english.
The pitches are all large and level and on grass with an electric hook up point and a water point serving every 3 /4 pitches. Each pitch is segregated by hedges and the hedging all around the site was a lovely mixed planting providing a colourful display - a really nice touch.
We also noticed that there was a small children's play area too.
The toilet block located behind the reception was very clean and provides WC's (UK style), wash basins and showers. Outside but under cover are several washing up sinks.
And all for just 12. 5 Euros ! What a bargain.
We walked into Cambrai in about 20 minutes, crossing an attractive stretch of canal and moorings area. The town is worth the walk. With it's historical connections, restaurants and shops it has all you could want.
All in all a really good first night in France. We would most definitely use this site again.

I had no difficulty in finding the site. My sat nav did it all. The site is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, behind the reception/toilet facility. The site is flat. The internal road is tarmac surfaced and lit. The pitches are separated by dwarf hedges, and these and the grass on each pitch was kept trimmed.
Immediately on the opposite side of Rue Jean Goude is a BUFFALO restaurant (convenient) and whilst we didn't try it, it was well patronised.
There is a supermarket less than 100 mtr away in Rue Jean Goude.
The staff on reception could speak and understand English, and were patient with our attempts at French.
The toilet facilities were beautifully kept, as was the washing-up area, and laundry. Plenty of hot water. (I remember wishing that they had plugs for the washing up sinks)
There are electric and water points scattered around the site, with motorhome waste and chemical toilet waste at the toilet block.
This is a smashing site, well run, and well positioned for access to and from the port of Calais. It took us about 20 mins to walk into the centre of Cambrai.
The only very minor cryticism that I have is the proximity of the site to the southern byepass. It does mean some traffic noise-noticeable first thing in the morning.
There is a childs play area, but as my wife and I are in our 70's we chose not to try this out.
The pitch charges were very reasonable.
Certainly a site that I will use again.

To Find Site:- Heading south on the A26 leave at junction 8 and follow D939 to Cambrai. As you approach the centre of the town watch out for a right turn into Rue Jean Goude, the campsite is signed from the junction with this road.
Les Trois Clochers is not a particularly large campsite with say perhaps 50 pitches which are all on grass and divided up by hedges. They vary in size with most being about 80 sq mts although there are some further into the site of about 100 sq mts. Whilst not fully serviced each pitch has access to electrics, water and waste. Electric connections are via CEE 17 blue plugs. The ampage was not stated but is believed to be somewhere in the region of 5 to 8 amps. Reception is not open all through the day but you are invited to find a place and set up and the manager (who speaks excellent English) will call and let you know when the office is open. He also suggested that we need not rush off the next day if we wanted to make a quick visit into Cambrai. The site is excellent value at about £12 a night. The toilet facilities are at the back of reception contain two toilets and two showers in both ladies and gents. Between reception and the toilets is a covered washing up area. There is also a motorhome service point. Given its general urban location there will be some traffic noise but we did not find this intrusive.
Being just an overnight stopover for us we did not get the chance to visit the centre of the town of Cambrai but it is within walking distance and there are free maps at reception. Being quite a large town there will be many shopping opportunities. Next to the campsite is a Buffalo Grill which is similar to a Beefeater

We found this site by accident, when returning from our tour of France. It was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pitches were more than big enough for our large motorhome. The town had a large funfair when we visited, and was about a 15 minute walk. The restaurant opposite was very handy as we were tired from our long drive and saved cooking. The site manager was more than helpful and very welcoming, he also spoke very good English. We will return to this site, it is a shame it is not open at Christmas and New Year, would make a lovely peaceful stay.
