What Can I say about this this site.
As the reviews already posted were old thought we would give this site a go.
Easy to find and on arrival looked quite nice a quiet location very close to Great Yarmouth and several large supermarkets, there is also a very large carboot within 5 mins drive.
Warden was very pleasant showed us to our pitch and explained where everything was.
1st problem electrics are very old most on our section didn't work or were broken.
2nd there is only one fresh water point for the whole site.
Waste water and toilet waste were awkward to use just outside the ladies toilets so smell backed up in the toilets when used.
Toilets very tired and dated again not enough for the site. Just 2 one of which was broken and held together with insulation tape. One look at the ladies showers and I refused to use them they were not regulated so Hot or cold depending on your luck and not at all private.
Pool looked very nice (although we didn't use it )
Club house was tired and the restaurant was closed.
Lauderettes was ok although we didn't use it.
Most of the site is statics and permanent residents in tourers or statics. We felt a little uncomfortable.
Lovely large grass area further down and some woodland.
On the whole nothing has changed such a shame as it could be really nice with a bit of TLC we wont be visiting again anytime soon.

This site is rundown maybe ok in the summer, but not, I repeat not suitable for winter camping. Just came back fro 4 night over christmas2014.
Field and it is just a field grass not cut ground so soggy we sunk in and both motorhomes had to be dragged out all water had been turned off only water available was from outside washing up sinks that were dirty and full of dead leaves.
Toilet blocks were clean but then there was no one there to use them. They were unheated and no hot water there not even in the showers. We only paid 10 and only expected basics but did expect hot water and drinking water points available not from dirty sinks.
We basically paid 10 a night for a muddy field, electric and water from a cold very run down toilet block. There was also only a short dog walking area you really need a car to take the dogs out for decent walks. All in all we were very disappointed, primarily because this site should not be open in winter very unsuitable.
Summer it is in a nice position but is now very run down, I suggest you view before you book.

Just back from Burgh Hall Campsite, The touring area was perfect and we had no problems with setting up etc, the showers like others have stated are slightly dated but worked a treat so no complaints.
The play ground was closed down, looked like it needed lots of work doing to it. Which was disappointing for my 4 year old.
The swimming pool area was good although still a charge even if staying on campsite! and kids said was very cold although didn't stop them from staying in of the day!
Now I get to the bar area and take 2 restaurant! stay clear! terribly run! was served warm wine, out of aspalls, the bar area was full of empty glasses, totally under staffed, the staff that were on were doing their best and run ragged!
The so called restaurant again under staffed! but waiting staff were very helpful! but as for the food, it was disgusting all very over cooked, the burgers were what I'd expect from a layby caravan cafe terrible! asked to speak to a manager surprise surprise not one available!
We are actually locals only coming from great yarmouth to try out our new caravan! word of mouth goes a long way! we found out later another 3 tables had complained that night! outrageous

Just returned from a great holiday at this campsite there was 10 of us altogether plenty of room for us all.
When we arrived we were met by the warden and he was very helpful.
The toilet block could do with a update and there was not a lot of privacy. Children's play area was good.
We went to the club on site a few times and had a great meal there. The children's indoor play area was great for the kids and we had a go on the slide.
The pool was cold and not heated but we had great weather so it didn't matter.

Very dated site. On arrival was moaned at for not calling 20 minutes before arrival. On entering site I thought we had entered a road maintenance yard with road rollers & lorries.
Mens shower / toilet block was dirty and rarely cleaned, both male and female shower lacked privacy.
Site was noisy till early hours of the morning with groups of lads partying all night revving motorcycles.
The swimming pool looked fine at an extra cost of £4 each

Lovely site with electric hook up for 1 charge of £18. 00 a night for awning, 7 people and a dog.
Warden really helpful and friendly and fitted us in last minute bank holiday,
Has nice sized playground, children were allowed to play football top field if not busy. Outdoor swimming pool for few pounds.
On site pub really nice was allowed to take dog in till 5pm.
Has toilet, showers, laundrette, no shop on site but a mile down road another site with shop that we used. Few minutes in car from gorlston beach.
For 18 pound a night all in, couldn't find anything wrong with this site will definitely be visiting again.

Booked this site for 4 nights over the jubilee weekend. Wasn't sure what to expect as the reviews are mixed. Our friends were joining us too and as we did the booking was hoping it would be good. We ended up having a great time.
Our tourer overlooked the next field which had horses in and our daughter especially, loved watching them. On the first night we went across to the pub for a drink and there was a singer on.
Very nice pub looked like it had just been done up. We actually had some sun while there so the children went in the outdoor pool. They managed half an hour because the water was really cold, but would be great on a hot summer day.
The shower block may be slightly strange with stable door and shower curtain with another shower curtain to block off the changing area, but was always clean and tidy. May be dated but was not a problem.
Our friends managed to pitch up next to us and we just spent most of the time relaxing and having barbecues. The children played football and frisbee and had a great time. Would go back again.

We booked this site for Easter weekend as it was reasonably priced for bank holiday. When we got to the site it looked quite nice although pitches were close together. The write up says that you have full use of the facilities but to be honest what facilities yes the bar was open but when it came to having a meal in the evening only one of the 3 restaurants was open and as we were in there at 7pm we were told we would have to wait for a table til 9pm and as we had kids we really didn't want to have wait in the bar for this long, it also states that the hollywood cafe is good for kids but from the menu we read there was no kids menus and was quite expensive.
The showers although look like they have been updated were very impersonal and had no privacy from other people coming and going to the toilets/showers. The chemical disposal is directly outside the women's toilets hence when running taps in the toilets smells of sewage.
They did have a children's play area which the kids loved and they also had a field at the bottom of the camping area where the kids could play with balls etc but there were adults which insisted on booting a ball between caravans and there wasn't anyone you could complain to as once you have paid you don't really see anyone in charge after this.
Apart from this it was reasonably quiet and priced and the surrounding areas are very pretty it is also very close to all amenities and a close base for Great Yarmouth.

A bit confusing when booking our stay of two nights. Were asked to ring 20 minutes before arriving so the site manager could meet us, all a bit strange. Finally met up with him, not over polite but OK.
Pitch was an OK size but would be tight if busy, we were lucky not to have anyone either side.
The toilets and showers were very disappointing particularly the mens. They were filthy and is desperate need of a re-furb and bleach! The two showers didn't really work as there is a communal changing area, not ideal for those who need and liked privacy and particularly those with children.
The swimming pool was opened but very cold and expensive (£4 for adults and children) but it was clean.
No information was available about the site and the reception was not very inviting. The park desperately needs some serious money invested particularly the camping site.
It was ideal for Yarmouth though, being only just over 2 miles away. Shame, it could be a lovely site.

We came to Burgh Hall as a group with 5 tents, for a long weekend. The site manager made us feel very welcome and was really helpful. The restaurant was great and the food was really good too. The evenings were a lot of fun and we generally had a fab time.
Bit of a shame that there is only 2 showers and 2 toilets but it wasn't the end of the world. Pool was lovely and clean and the kids (big and small) loved it. The pricing was really good too. Yarmouth was really close by and overall the area is lovely.
The Sunday boot sale in the field next door could be annoying to some, but it had a burger van so we were happy. It did not cause us any problems at all.
We would definitely come back again. A lovely time had by all.
