The staff were very friendly n helpful, the only problem was not enough toilets and showers - there were only 2 of each for the site. But we had a ace holiday chilling out, we had it as a base. When we got there we discovered we had forgotten our tent poles and kettle so we had to get another and then the site warden lent me his kettle for the holiday. All the residents and staff were very helpful and friendly. The site is not far from town and Gorleston is an excellent beach, very clean and white sands

The swimming pool restaurant and front part of the park is first class. And then you reach the touring site. Toilets are very very dated only two toilets and two showers for the whole site. No proper washing up facilities only a cold tap next to the drinking water which is outside with no cover And nowhere to put pots pans etc. That hadn't been cleaned in a long while. It had been heavy rain the week before we went so mud everywhere as no proper roadway and in places the pitching spaces was used as a dumping ground. We had electric which was also not working properly until they moved us to another connection which did work but they all looked like they have seen better days. The person who runs the site was friendly but needs to spend more time and money sorting the camping area out. Surrounding area lovely and would love to go there again if they sorted the touring site out

Well, September was the last time I went, I have been 10 times this year and I can say is that generally things were pretty good. Ok, you are going to have probs with toilets and showers at most sites, it all depends how many have gone before you and if you were there before the cleaner.Lots of great points listed

Take 2 themed restaurant, brilliant, good food, good price, and the decor with all the movie characters, great.
The bar has been delightfully refurbished this year, pride has been put into it and there was lots of entertainment on at night
This year they have improved the standard all round,
They have a brilliant carvery on a sunday, good value as well.
The pool was nicely heated
Poolside kitchen was available when hot
And the new restaurant on site for that special one night before you go back home called 'Monets'. They specialize in fresh fish and seafood as well as good steak and meat dishes, and price wise not over the top, the wife and I ate there on our last night, fantastic.

Will go again loads next year

I was put off by the reviews on here but being a bank holiday weekend it was the only place I could find to stay at short notice. I found the site to be not bad at all, the pool although a bit cold was clean and the kids had a great afternoon in it, the park was good although in the evening there were some older kids playing in it and there was a bit of glass in it. The bar there was very reasonably priced and they had different entertainers there each night, there were 2 restaurants although we didn't use them we had a look through one that had waxworks in it from movies, the other was a more upscale restaurant. The toilet and showers were clean but as there are only 2 showers it is best to get to them early. The man that was in charge was very friendly and helpful.

From the site you are a few miles from the beach and main part of great yarmouth- about a 10 min drive. There is no shop on site but there is a Rainbow and a large tesco within about 2 miles as well as restaurants like McDonalds, Pizza hut and also a shopping area.

All in all I would go there again and the cost of the pitch was very good considering the price of other places with similar amenities.

I recently stayed at burgh hall holiday park and was very disappointed!

1, toilet facilities were never clean. No toilet paper .

2,not enough toilets, sinks and showers for a camp site of this size.

3,people are allowed to freely drive around the site at all hours.

4,fires are freely lit at any time. Which I found very disturbing when drunken youngsters get back at 3 am!

5,no site agent was ever seen during our stay.

6,car boot sales starting at 4 am onwards at the weekend,in the field next to camp site!

All in all very disappointing and tired looking site.

I actually did not stay at Burgh hall.

I stayed at The Cherry Trees just up the road but decided to venture up to Burgh hall as I had been there before and quite enjoyed the social side of the bar, food and Pool.

To my surprise the bar has just been refurbished and what a beautifully decorated, comfortable, friendly place it was.

I found the experience very relaxing, with a choice of leather suites to sit in and good live music.

Give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised!

We put our caravan on this site today 15th july 2009. It now has new owners, they were very nice helpful people. The park itself is spotless and the bar is very nice. Swimming pool very clean. Toilets the best ever seen very posh. Loveley friendly site recommend very highly. We had a meal in one of the restaurants the food was to very high standard. They do also have a burger bar. We will be using the site a lot in the future

I have stayed here about 8 times over the last 12 years in a chalet and always had a very good time. The pool is lovely and clean and on a sunny day is lovely and very cheap. The bar has some good entertainment as well as good food esppecially the carvery which is very good value for your money. I have stayed on my own there with my 2 children and felt completely safe my friend now comes with me and stays in a chalet next door with her family and she also loves it there. I will go back again.

Came back from this site with mixed feelings. The toilets and showers have been decorated in recent months and were clean and adequate with plenty of hot water. There is no washing up area which was a real pain and the laundry room was closed our entire stay. There are no bins for campers to use.
The site could be so much better if all the facilities were tarted up a bit and run more efficiently. The price is good for what you get. The area has much to offer. And the site was quiet our entire stay except people were shooting the rabbits with air guns most days which I thought was bad considering there were children around.

The chap who runs the site was very friendly and helpful.

Would I return? yes, but only if the above things were addressed.

This was a lovely place to stay, and also very cheap.

The pool is heated at 83*F

There is also a park for the kids to play on.

The laundry room is closed but there is plenty of places close by to go.

You also can dine in the on site themed diner (Take two)

And also have a Sunday carvery.

There is also many different entertainment at the pub on site.

The site is 5-10 minutes away from the beach by car.

I would definitely be going back, and I have been going there for many years.

There is a special field opened up for tents who are wanting electric hook up now.

I stayed in a caravan and a tent and now I rent a chalet.
