We have stayed here a few times and have seen huge developments and improvements to the site and facilities since they opened it a couple of years ago. So we stayed over Easter weekend and week and I have to say the new shower block is a vast improvement to the last one! There are separate mens and ladies -from memory ladies has 4 toilets, 3 private shower cubicles with lockable doors (with proper ceramic shower trays - love the curtains!) and 4 wash basins. And handsoap! My husband says the mens has 3 sinks, 3 urinals, 2 private shower cubicles and 4 toilets. They had teething problems getting them going over the weekend but by Sunday evening we had a very welcome piping hot shower! The landscaping was finished through the week and it looks lovely. The owners said the laundry washing and drying facilities are going in next.
The activities are fab for the kids. Our two did teens golf night - only a fiver for unlimited balls for the golf range. Fishing hire is available with day licenses. I went along to the cheese and wine night with my own wine and had a lovely evening listening to history and stories about Banbury. We walked the dog along to the pub past the lake and had sandwiches. We don't have to go to the shops for milk and bread as they sell it at the cafe. Every time we come here we find something new! Its a homely place, great hospitality and most importantly for us its good value.

We stayed here over the Easter weekend. Arrived Thursday and was very disappointed the pitch we had was very water logged very muddy. The showers were not in use until late Friday because there was no electric and no water. When they said the showers were working we went for a shower the water was freezing and no lights. Saturday morning the water had froze up not even water to flush the toilet the water was always cold. We did use the golf course which we feel they pay more attention to than the camping. The other issue l have is the speeding there is no speed signs were people are coming in and out for golf course and it is dangerous were you have to walk over to the toilet/ the staff on the quad bikes were no better. There was no safety on the camp site also. In local field all you hear is the crow scarer going off which is very annoying. The people running the camp are friendly but don't seem to put things right. It's like a building site there.

We stayed twice at this site. We all loved it. I think the informal pleasant atmosphere and the friendliness of all the staff was the most outstanding feature(s) of the site. It has a clubroom and a play area be it a small one the kids still loved it and at night they all went to the clubroom where you can get Pizza's and the like. Nearby is a pleasant pub and good food and a 5-10 minute drive is the market town of Banbury. Excellent place for shopping.
The one and only drawback is the toilets although cleaned regularly they are temporary toilets and the site would benefit tremendously as and when they are replaced. But yes I have no problem recommender the site and am looking forward to my next visit at Easter.

What a lovely greeting we had when we bowled up. Complete newbies, first night and all that, and the owner who greeted us couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Found our pitch and settled in.
The 24 hour toilet/showers are basic but clean and fine to use (and there was loo paper - always a bonus).
A bar, so we read our manuals while enjoying a pint. The food looked good, though we didn't avail ourselves of it as I wanted to christen the kitchen in the motorhome!
A bit of traffic noise, but not enough to keep us awake. And it quietened down well overnight.
A really great site for our first time. And one we will go back to when visiting the area, and have a go on the golf driving range - who knows we might even take up golf ! Or wander down to the fishing lake with a rod. We had a lovely early-morning stroll down to it the next day.
And it is actually very well positioned, near Banbury and thus Oxford and very central.

We have just got back from staying for 4 nights at Drayton leisure and have all had a fantastic time ( there were myself, my wife and our two children).
I have to say that I have given an overall rating of 9 out of 10 purely because the toilet/ shower facilities are very basic and in need of work, having said this upon speaking to the management, they have said that replacing the current facilities with a purpose built (or at least a much upgraded portable cabin) is on the top of their priority list and will be done as soon as the funds are available.
The area is lovely and we found that there was to much to do in the area to fit into our week.
The actual campsite is right next to the road and we were a little worried about traffic noise but from our pitch (which was one of the furthest from the road, ) we found that we hardly heard it.
There is a little playground ( a small climbing frame with slide) that will help to keep younger campers happy, and the clubhouse provided darts and table tennis for free, pool was £1 per game and skittles was £1 for the whole day (you could play as many times as you wanted and even if you left the clubhouse for a few hours they let you carry on playing).
Although we didn't go fishing they have a fair sized lake which you can fish at for £5 per day (dawn till dusk). For a game of golf it would have cost us £24 including clubs and balls, all of this is good value for money.
The staff are very friendly and welcome any suggestions that you give to make the site better.
All in all it was a very friendly site and excellent value for money and when the toilets are upgraded we will definitely be going back.

We had a 3 night stay at Drayton Leisure in our large Tenby 10 tent with electric hook up. At 14 gbp a night-all in, this is great value. The pitch was large and flat and seemed well drained-although we were very lucky as the weather was great during our stay. The camp site is relatively small but well laid out.
The camping facilities are clearly still being developed. There are 2 loos and showers in a mobile unit-all of which were clean during our stay. There are also loos in the clubhouse (open from about 8am till 9pm).
Outside of the camping area there was plenty to do-especially if you like golf and fishing.
There is a free to use putting green, large driving range and an excellent nine hole par 3 (not pitch and putt). The fishing is also excellent, we caught lots of fish and our kids are just beginners!
The clubhouse provides food and bar facilities-both of which were good value. There is also a pool table and a free-to-use table tennis table. You can also hire the skittle alley for an hour or so for evening family fun!
All in all, an excellent spot for a couple of days camping. The staff were always friendly and helpful and also receptive to comments and suggestions. We spoke to many other campers and motorhome/vanners. Many were staying for the first time but all were very complimentary about the site.
We will definitely visit again and look forward to seeing the site develop as it becomes more popular-which we are sure it will.

We were very hasty to book this campsite as we wanted to have one more quick camping trip before the summer ended, so we came to Drayton Leisure with our relatives. Because we had booked at such short notice, we were not able to choose an electric pitch, as they were all booked out, but we were unfortunate enough to pitch our tent adjacent to the B road, which happened to be very busy on the night.
We walked down to the bar, but found that it was shut and the only toilet available was a squalid porta cabin, which we found out was unisex. Inside were a few spiders and a slightly wet floor, which wasn't too great.
In the morning we went down to the bar again with a very small play area. In the bar, the staff were very friendly and the toilets were more reasonable than the portable cabin ones. There also wasn't that much to do in the surrounding area, either. Considering this, due to the untimely weather, we left a day early, so we didn't really have a proper look.
Overall, the location wasn't bad, the staff were friendly but some of the facilities were less than satisfactory.
It wasn't unbearable, though, just I'd advise you to go to the toilets before the bar shuts. Despite this, it was alright and we had fun while we were there.

My feelings about this site are very mixed! I am finding it hard to give an overall 'mark out of 10 ' so have broken my review down into pros and cons:
Pros:
Customer Service - outstanding! From booking in to being on site the whole team were fantastic. Karen was very friendly, approachable, professional and helpful as were the owners, Lesley and Nicholas ( I hope I got everyone's names right). They made us feel welcome and certainly gave service with a smile. Top marks here!
Child friendliness - again I cannot fault the team here. Our boys are 5 and 7 and can be quite shy as well as running around a lot. Both of them were happy to go to the bar/cafe area and ask for a cake or drink. The staff seem more than used to accommodating children. There is lots for families to do on-site, there is a small climbing frame/ slide combo for kids to play on outside. There is also free pitch and put which our children enjoyed as well as table tennis and pool in the cafe/bar inside.
Attractions - as well as the play area, pitch and put etc already mentioned on alternate Thu there is a Classic Car Club that meets on site. We were lucky to be there on one such occasion and it was enjoyable looking at the classic cars.
Cafe/bar- this was reasonably priced and we had a couple of pizzas plus chicken dippers and wedges with drinks for 4 of us. This came in at about £20 which we felt was a very good deal. It was nice to be able to sit out on the veranda with a drink whilst the kids could play outside. This made a very pleasant evening after sight seeing in the Cotswolds all day!
Surrounding area - loads to see here which is one reason we chose this site. We visited 3 National Trust properties - Hidcote, Snowshill Manor and Upton Park. These were interesting places in easy driving distance where you can spend a good few hours. We also visited Bourton-on-the-water and were lucky to be there on a sunny day. Lots of people were paddling in the river! We also made use of the open air pool at Banbury which was lovely on a sunny morning!
Cons:
Showers/toilets - there are 2 showers and toilets in a porta cabin which are unisex and when we visited these it was lovely weather and we shared them with several 'wee beasties' of the creepy crawlie variety! There are 2 more ladies toilets indoors when the bar is open. OH said he didn't notice if there were additional mens toilets but I think there were!
I have put these as a con as they could probably do with up dating. I did hear one of the guys who said he was a groundsman mention they will gradually introduce a new shower block as the camping side of the business picks up.
Road noise - we were pitched in close proximity to the road which was quit busy till about midnight and from 6am. Probably less of an issue if you are in a caravan but we were in a small tent. I found this really frustrating the 3 nights we stayed.
Other comments (neither a pro or con as depends on your own opinion):
Pitches - the numbered pitches are a good size, large enough for a unit plus vehicle. We stayed on a non electric pitch. I personally would have preferred to pitch on the rally field (this looked fantastic and with hindsight perhaps we could have requested to pitch here) as I personally prefer to pitch away from ehu sites as these tend to be used by caravans and campers who like their mod cons, including tvs and stereos.
I have nothing against other people using tvs etc on holiday but personally like to escape all this on holiday. Therefore my personal choice would be for ehu and non electric pitches to be totally separate. At this site on the numbered pitches they are together. The rally field does not have ehu and looked like it might be used as overflow when all the numbered pitches are allocated.
Value for money - we paid £9 a night non ehu which I thought was a great price. Other sites in the Cotswolds 'main tourist area' are more like £27 a night.
Would we go back? I can't decide and myself and OH can't quite agree on this one! He loved the site for price, convenience of the bar and on-site leisure facilities and child friendliness. I also loved all these but found the road noise off putting! If I could find a decent pair of earplugs I would probably go back with the kids! The immediate location is not as idyllic as other places but the price more than makes up for this. If you want a romantic break and can push the boat out perhaps choose somewhere further away from Banbury. This is meant as a subtle hint to the OH should he ever read this and want to go away without the kids!

We booked this campsite as a 3 night stopover to break the journey up travelling home from Devon. The campsite looked lovely on their website and it appeared to have all of the facilities that you would expect.
However on arrival I was very disappointed to find a portable cabin style shower and toilet which were unisex. They were in very poor condition and dirty. I would not wash my dog in there never mind my children. So overall very disappointing facilities, the dish wash area was also of poor condition and had no cover so when it rained you got soaked.
There is a cafe style pub that is open till 9pm and also a golf course/ range where children can play in the putting green for free.
Children's playground that was on their website was very small and damaged ( screws and chains handing down obviously very dangerous for my 2 year old).
There was also a folk charity event on which we were not told about on booking and because of this we couldn't access the cafe facilities.
With little money this campsite could be improved vastly.
