Beautiful flat pitches, stunning views of the Mendip Hills, Friendly helpful owners.
Facilities basic but clean and lovely extras like eggs for sale and fire packs.
So quiet at night except a little bit of road noise, and really central to everything with Burnham, Cheddar, Weston Supermare etc all a short drive.
Will definitely be returning!

This is a wonderful campsite, the ground was amazingly flat, the owners very welcoming, always checking to see if things are ok.
As it's a small campsite, it was very peaceful and has amazing views.
The facilities were small but clean and sufficient for the size of the site. We walked the massive hill behind the site and would really recommend it, tough but so worth it.
The New inn pub is within walking distance and sells great food.
The only thing I would recommend is to get more hot water in the washing up area.
We will visit this campsite again for sure and its really rare that I would say that!

Located about 10 mins from M5, so very handed for a stopover, but also to visit places like Axbridge, Cheddar and Wells.
Three pubs within walking distance, we visited the New Inn in Cross. Fabulous food and service, as well as dog friendly.
The site itself has a small facilities area which was appropriate for the size of site. Immaculately clean with plenty of sanitiser. Pitches are level and well spaced out.
Host is very welcoming and helpful. Only two small gripes, the water was cold in the pot washing area and the entry gate can swing in front of your vehicle sometimes as it cannot be tied back.
Would highly recommend this site and use again when in the area.

We chose this site because it says easy access to the river Axe from the site, we have a canoe and daughter and boyfriend have a kayak, we feel we were totally mislead, there is no easy access,
To get to the river you need to walk through a field, full of sheep, there is no clear way to put your boats into the river ( which looked extremely dirty ) so no way could you swim in there ) just impossible, so could not use it At all, very disappointing to say the least,
The site itself was flat and toilet and shower were clean, although you do have to pay for the shower ( which l don’t agree with )
The owners Alison and Rick l think are trying to be friendly, but unfortunately they were pretty rude to us and we felt like we were in big brother,

A very nice site at rear of a farm with easy access from M5/A38. Level pitches in a spacious field with views across to the Mendips. Small WC/shower block in corner and never esp busy although the site was fairly full when we visited - fairly basic but always very clean & hot shower (20p for shower).
Good for cycling access to Strawberry Line and generally along quiet rural lanes - we made it to Weston-Super-Mare without too much grief (easy to leave site & avoid using the A38 by simply cycling down the pavement until you reach a quiet lane and turn off).
Good for walking on the Mendip Hills (30 minutes to base of the scarp). One pub just next to site but seemed to be closed (due to Covid??). General store at the petrol station 5 mins walk down the road. 20 mins walk to village of Cross - two pubs and the bus stop (to Wells-Cheddar-Weston).
Kathryn runs the site and was very helpful. We stayed during the Covid outbreak however the precautions taken on-site were faultless and we had no concerns as to Covid safety.

We visited this site our first outing since shielding due to Covex19. We had a friendly welcome by the owner and given a choice of pitches.
The facilities on site were immaculate plus nice flat mowed field and well spaced pitches, (some with electric. ) The views we had on site were pleasant and relaxing.
The choice of places to visit were plenty, we were spoilt for choice. I would certainly recommend this site to others so much to do and see or or to just sit on site relaxing.
There is a garage within walking distance selling lpg gas ( a great bonus to us as we run our motor on it) with a spar shop also, several pubs to eat at, who could ask for more.

Beautiful site
Katherine is a great host. very well looked after
Facilities spotless
Could not ask for anything more totally relaxing.
Location is great and access to most major roads. not far from Highbridge where you have aldis and asda.
The fish and chips in Winscome were spot on as Katherine said they were
Thanks very much for a relaxing week.

Good site, facilities looked good but not used due to covid.
Nice walks on the hills, boring walks on the levels.
Directions state opposite garage, it is no longer there!

Small, friendly and peaceful site on flat field. Open views from all pitches.
Facilities fairly basic but adequate. Shame only cold water for washing up. We loved Axbridge but the walk there involves some pavement alongside the busy main road which is not easy to cross.
The closest local pub seems to be hit and miss with opening times but pleasant beer garden if you catch it right. We stayed two nights as a stopover en route to Cornwall.
Probably a good location for exploring by car. £20 for 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 dog with ehu.
