Having just spent the weekend at Watersmeet Farm I can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet break away with stunning views. The facilities on site were lovely and clean and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. It is the perfect base for visiting Cheddar, Weston and the surrounding area. Can't wait to be able to use this little gem of a site again!

We missed the sign, twice, but it is there if you look properly!
Very friendly welcome.
Large field, with only a few units pitched so everyone had plenty of room. No noise and amazing views of the hills made this a great site to stay on for my daughter and I.
Facilities were very clean, well lit and useable. There was one unisex shower - which was very large and well laid out, this would be a problem if the field was full, but we could see when it was occupied and plan accordingly.
We walked to the local pub across the field- we didn't eat but the food we saw looked very good.

Just got back from a fantastic five night stay here
Fantastic view of the mendip hills very quiet campsite
Very flat field which is very well drained it rained most nights but there was not floods, mud patches
The owner is very friendly and always willing to help
Toilets very clean and kept spotless although sometimes the hand towels and the soap need replacing a bit more often
The shower room needs a couple more hooks or a shelve to put your clothes on when using the shower
Will definitely return again the kids enjoyed the trampaline
Very good prices £15 per night with ehu
If you do stay there the lamb inn serves the best food try the homemade beef burger
If using a sat-nav to get there don't come of at junction 21 use j22 instead much easier and quicker to get there

Fantastic site for a back to basics, relaxingly quiet stay in a stunning location. Large field with both electric and non electric pitches. The toilet block and 1 shower was adequate for our needs. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
There was a nice pub serving great food only a short walk away and a garage shop selling all of the basic needs.
The only downside was no plumbing for the washing up sink so we had to resort to a kettle - but in the grand scheme of things that's nothing!
We enjoyed our 3 night stay and would use it again!

We were on our own at this site and it felt quite quiet and empty. The site itself is very nice and if other people had been there it would have been very pleasant. Horses, sheep and cows where about and it was a very busy time with the lambing. Owner was very nice, could have more toilets and showers ( Only 1 shower ) as I should imagine that there would be a bit of a queue when site really busy. No play area for children, toilets and shower nice and clean, all in all a very pleasant site. 20p for 2 min shower I felt was a bit steep but apart from that I was happy. A word of warning, you could easily miss the sign for the farm, its quite small so keep your eyes peeled !

We love this site been coming here for over 3 years Great little site the facilities are spotless Katherine and mark are such lovely people and very helpful.
There is an amenity block its not perfect but its all you need just to do your business. Shower is good value for money.
Only downfall is if it rains the field is like a bog. Great location for Weston, Burnham, minehead etc.
Highly recommended but if you like quite sites I would recommend you visiting here in the school time as this is a child friendly site and it gets packed in school holidays

Splendid site. Very reasonable charges.
If you want a play area, club house and pool look elsewhere, but if you like a quite site, friendly owners and a great location this is the one.
Walks onto the Mendip Hills from the site, BP garage close by for most supplies and a motorhome dealers almost opposite if needed.
The loo block is basic but spotless, the site is level and you're far enough back from the main road that traffic noise isn't an issue.
3 Pubs within walking distance to cater for different tastes, but do check opening hours as they vary.
We will definitely be visiting again.

Were looking for a quiet campsite that was near Weston but was not a holiday camp. This site was everything we were looking for, friendly owner, basic but very clean and functional toilet/shower.
Only 1 shower but never had to wait, 20p for two minutes and very clean. Maybe more hooks needed in the shower block.
Great views of Mendips and lovely walks. I was something waking up early in the morning, sitting out drinking coffee and watching the early morning mist slowly clear to uncover the hills and blue warm sky of the day.
Fantastic farm shop nearby selling meat, bread and such like. Garage just up the road within walking distance selling all bits you may need.
Our boys loved having a fire in the evening, it really makes a camping trip to finish the days off around a fire toasting marshmallows.
Weston just down the road, cheddar even nearer. Lots for people say to get to Cheddar early, but in fact if you leave it until the afternoon then there seems to be plenty of parking, plus at a reduced rate. Saying that, we went for first thing and spent most of the day there walking. Had a nice evening tea back at the campsite of Cheddar cheese, apples, and cider.
Will def be returning in the future.
Have only put site facilities as a 9 because washing up facilities were basic. Not anything that bothered us, but is probably the only improvement I would suggest (that and the extra hook in the shower!)

Yet again, another fantastic stay at Watersmeet farm, This is our 4th stay here and already planning next visit. Owner was her usual 'nothing too much trouble' although her football skills need attention,
We cannot say enough good things about this site and owner you do need to try it out.
10 min from M5, 6 mile to Cheddar Gorge (get there early for parking space) and of course, 15 min away from Wilkins Cider who make the best Cider EVER.
