Had a lovely stay for 6 nights at this great little site.
I really can`t praise it high enough, toilets/shower block where very clean and functional and only a short walk from even the furthest pitch and the owner was very hospitable and attentive to all our needs.
We ate out most nights driving around the local area and The Lamb Inn (which was a short five minute walk ) we found was excellent very friendly and good food.

This was a lovely site, very relaxing with beautiful views of the mendips and a good, rural and natural atmosphere. There are some terrific walks along the river, through the sheep and horses and across fields, just what we were looking for!
The owner was really helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome.
The facilities were good, 20p for 2 minutes was ok as the campsite is really quite cheap (we paid only 10 pound per night for a tent without electricity, and there were no extra charges for dogs). By the way it is a very dog friendly site and we could completely relax here; plenty of space between pitches, not many campers, no annoying families with loud children etc. We will definitely stay here next time we visit the area.

We spent four nights at this lovely little site in glorious sunshine. Everyone was friendly and laid back and the owner could not have been more helpful. We bought wood from her for a fire in one of the fire baskets provided - we were also provided with a barbecue which was an unexpected bonus. The washblock was scrupulously clean and the shower at 20p per 2 minutes was first class. The only downside was the lack of any shade - not usually a problem when camping in the UK - we certainly had to be up and out of the tent bright and early!
Lovely walks along the river and very convenient for Cheddar, the Mendips and the beaches at Burnham and Weston. A garage in the village which sells everything you could possibly need and a pub which offers a friendly welcome and excellent food. What more could you want? At £10 per night, excellent value. We will be back.

Stayed at watersmeet for 3 nights breaking journey to Cornwall. Lovely site easy access from the M5.
The site owner although a very busy lady always had time to stop for a chat and helpful information about the area.
Facilities kept clean and well stocked.
Plenty to see and do in the area from sea to historic sites.
One small negative there is no washing up facility which in a caravan isnt a problem but for those tenting must be hard doing the washing up having to heat water. However mentioned this to the owner and she said she had a sink and was looking to install it. Watch this space!
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this well kept small friendly site.

It isn't fancy and it isn't expensive, what you see is what you get. A basic campsite in a truly beautiful setting. The backdrop is the Mendip hills!
The site is a small level field with room for around 10 units and an area of hardstanding for a few motor homes or caravans. The toilet block comprises of separate male and female toilets. There is also a single unisex shower for use by all. It costs 20p for about 2 minutes and is big enough for parents to shower small children in with them. As there is only one shower you have a reasonable sized area to change and dry in.
Rubbish needs to be sorted in to recyclables and general waste.
There is a chemical disposal point which we didn't need to use.
The site would benefit from a washing up area. We didn't find one so remember you will need a washing up bowl and to boil your own hot water.
The owners were really laid back and friendly. We were made to feel welcome.
There was a horse just over the fence in the field next to us. Our eldest son (8yrs) spent a lot of time talking and whispering to it and didn't want to leave him behind! There are other animals on the farm but we didn't see them.
There is no playground, just a field so don't forget to provide your own entertainment with a football or a frisbee. And if it is raining pop in a pack of cards and a good book.
I understand you can have a campfire but it rained both evenings so we didn't look into this any further.
Nearby is Cheddar gorge, a great day out for the family. Don't forget to buy some proper Cheddar cheese and wash it down with some local cider.
Overall it is a basic, quiet friendly site. You need to provide your own entertainment and would suit families or couples after a more traditional camping experience. A great site that we would return to for a few nights if in the area again.

Spent last weekend at watersmeet farm, single dad, two kids 15 and 5 and we all loved it. Nice quiet no frills site, somewhere to pitch a tent, toilets and shower, exactly what we wanted. Easy to find. Friendly, helpful staff. Toilets and shower clean. Great views. Watching the hills light up at sunrise was breathtaking. Great location all round. Already recommended the site to friends and we hope to go back soon.

This was our 2nd visit to watersmeet farm and this time we took more people with us and they agree this site and the owner are just fantastic.
Nothing is too much trouble, very friendly and helpful. If you going to stay in Somerset you have to stay here. We are already planning our next trip for the end on may and cannot wait to return.
The site is clean, the shower block is always spotless, delightful walks along the river and its great to be able to sit round the camp fire at night drinking the local cider (wilkins is a must visit) ask the owner for details.
20 min away from Cheddar gorge, Weston super mare.
Top marks to this site and top marks to the owners.

Our visit to watersmeet was our first ever camping experience. My wife and I went with our 2 children and 2 dogs. We were supposed to stay for three nights but due to us been first time campers we made a few mistakes on what we should have taken and after one night had the worst back ache ever due to not taking something to sleep on, BUT we learnt a great deal of what we need for next time. The site owner extremely welcoming. The toilet block / shower were so so clean excellent! the camping field itself was a great size and clean and tidy. We were lent a fire bucktet from the site owner so we could have a fire and also bought logs etc at a very reasonable price. The location is really peaceful and great views. I will definitely be revisiting properly pre pared next time as it was a great experience. I would recommend.

Upon arrival the owner greeted us at the gate. We had our pick of pitches on a very well drained field. The view of the mendips from the pitch was fantastic. The walks from the site are very good- Axbridge, Cheddar gorge and Crooks peak etc. The food at the Lamb Inn (2 mins walk) very good & New Inn about 15 mins walk.
This a working farm and at the time lambing was in progress and the owner took time to show us around and we were lucky enough to see lambs being born
Did not use the facilities but checked them out and found them to be very clean and adequate. We will definitely return and cannot fault the hospitality

This was our first caravan outing having had a campervan previously. The hard-standing area was small but perfectly level and the whole site is set in flat farmland with the Mendip Hills forming a beautiful backdrop.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful - they pointed us to some lovely walks on the ridge of the nearby hills - and the ambience of the site is quiet and peaceful. Unlike many sites the local wildlife, especially birds, is varied and there even seems to be a resident Kestrel! With luck you may also get a glimpse of Fallow Deer early in the morning.
The toilet block is small but clean and and in reasonable condition despite having suffered a little from the recent appalling weather.
The site is close to the main road and there is a little road noise but it's not obtrusive or a problem. The location is excellent for visits to the beach at Burnham or Brean and the towns of Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury. (Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!)
The local pub is a short walk but we chose to eat at the New Inn at Cross, a couple of miles along the road towards Axbridge. Very nice and the food is very good.
Our dogs also enjoyed the site and the local walks.
All in all a lovely little site with very welcoming owners in a good location.
