Beautifully clean facilities. The combined toilet, washroom and shower room was perfect for us.
But there was only one such room plus an additional toilet room and we were the only tent on site using the facility. I guess with several tenting customers, there could be a queuing problem.
The location was peaceful and the views, when it wasn't raining, were great. The owner was friendly and the on site 'warden' very helpful.
The local village was a 5 minute drive away and had a shop which was good for bread, milk and fresh fruit and veg.

Loved how peaceful it was.
Clean well pruned and very friendly wardens.
A little off the beaten track but that just adds to the peacefulness.
Toilet and shower spotless.

Peaceful Beautiful surroundings in heart of The Devon countryside with simple but Functional Clean facilities,
Good pitches ie level with healthy grass and very friendly.
I have stayed at many Cornish and Devon campsites over the years, it may not be the grandest but value for money, comes out on top.
Would love to come again in better weather 😁

If you are a bit of a nervous caravan driver, then make sure of your route before you visit as some of the roads are very narrow. Approach the site via Buck's Cross then through the village of Woolfardisworthy. Don't use the road which your sat nav might suggest; its totally unsuitable for a caravan.
When we arrived, we were pleased to find the pitches were super-pitches with their own electricity, water supply and waste drain. We were charged about £16 a night so it was excellent value.
Shower room is useful if not a little annoying with its 10 second button.
Views nice but as someone else has mentioned there is absolutely no place to walk your dog apart from up and down the drive. There is a trampoline for the kids to use.
The warden's, although very friendly actually live on the campsite. We felt that they kept too much of a watchful eye on us.
Area nice - OK if you get dry weather but we must admit that we started to run out of things to do towards the end of the week so we probably won't be back.

Site lived up to all the previous reviews. This is a peaceful attractive site surrounded by farmland, with good views. There were five hard standing pitches, all with available EHU. Emaculate grassed area adjacent.
Just the one combined toilet and shower, very clean and homely: even a radio available!
Washing up area round the back, plenty of hot water.
Approach via a long concrete farm track, so no traffic noise. Only drawback is there are no footpath routes out of site, so usually meant driving to get anywhere. Clovelly is just a few miles away. We parked in NT car park and walked to the village.
Warning: perhaps because of low season, but the village pub was closed down, and the chip shop closed two nights a week.

A fantastic site with superb toilet and shower facilities
Have already rebooked for Easter and can see many many more visits also
Missing Ralph the pig and smudge the dog and can not wait to see them again
Very friendly owners who are very helpful but not imposing and the views are to
Die for it is a site well away from main roads so very peaceful and only 15 min drive
You are heading toward the coast so it's the best of both worlds

This is one the best sites we have ever stayed at.
The facilities are immaculate. There is a toilet and shower block with lots of hot water. There is also a washing up sink (with hot water) in a utility room next to the shower/toilet. The owner has thoughtfully provided an umbrella style washing line. Each caravan pitch has its own 16A electrics, drinking water, and grey water drainage. The views to the south and south-east are great- you can see Dartmoor in the distance if the weather is clear. On a clear night there is little or no light pollution making star-gazing a pleasure. Bring binoculars or a telescope. Views to the north are blocked by a tall hedge, but you may be able to see if you go out on to the farm road. There are three caravan hardstandings with two on grass. Plenty of space between. There is lots of space for tents on well kept grass. The site is very convenient for the North Devon coast, including Bideford, Barnstaple, Ifracombe (don't miss Verity and the Ilfracombe museum, great for kids of all ages), Clovelly, Hartland, Stoke (take a look inside St. Nectan's church), and the South-West Coastal Path. Woolsery is a 15-20 minute walk away and the village has a fish and chips shop as well as a mini-supermarket with post office. I believe that the village hall often has events.
On the other side of the fence on the south of the site there are Jacob sheep and Ralphie the kuhn kuhn miniature pig. He will come and talk to you, especially if you offer him a carrot. His mate Roxie is just down the farm road with her piglets. The farm dog, Smudge, visits regularly, but he's very well behaved and will do as he's told. Mr and Mrs Harding are very friendly.
The approach from Woolsery is a bit rough, so go slow. The final approach is about 300m up the single track farm road, but it's concrete and in good condition (better than the public road) and not busy.
Absolutely an exceptional site.
