Wonderful warm welcome, fantastic views from a sheltered location.
A very clean, and well-kept site, away from the hubbub of modern life.
The site does have a good mobile signal, for those that need it.
If you are looking for the ultimate, peace, this is the site for you.

Lovely quiet sheltered site with beautiful views of the countryside.
Limited shower and toilet facilities but very clean and availability wasn't a problem.
Very friendly and welcoming.
Very reasonably priced.
Village shop and pub within walking distance. Supermarket approximately 10 miles away.
Lots to see and do in the area. Close to the south-west coastal path and the Tarka Trail for walking and cycling.

Freedom Camping Club Site. We stayed 3 nights at this quiet, friendly, adults-only campsite on a hard-standing pitch.
The site is pleasant, well-maintained and the facilities simple but very clean.
We were welcomed by two long-stay campers, who ensured we had plenty of information about the site and the locality.
The views from the site are of pleasant, wooded hills and surrounding fields.
There is one shower/toilet and one separate toilet, which means facilities are limited but the site wasn't full and we never found it a problem.
Excellent recycling facilities and a small washing-up room with a microwave.
The owner, Jane, was also friendly and helpful, keeping in touch with what is going on at the site, as they live along the lane.
Near to the North Devon coast path and the Tamar Lakes.

A very exposed hillside site, for which you may need a ramp on one side and blocks at the back. Do use the approach recommended by the owner as the other roads are quite narrow/hilly/winding.
One large toilet/shower/sink combined room, kept quite clean. One small, very low (child height) toilet in a shed. Enclosed kitchen area with a sink, microwave and a spin dryer.
Whirly line also on site. Toilet emptying and grey water facilities. Very quiet as it's well away from the village (except for sometimes noisy cows!) fantastic views down towards Dartmoor.
Extra charge for a dog, despite there being no facilities for them, and an energetic dog would not have enough room to exercise on the site.
Owner and warden are both lovely. Nice Co-Op in the village, plus a pub and chippy. Bude and Barnstaple are nice to visit, as are Clovelly (charge to visit) and Harland Quay.

Pleasant quiet campsite away from the hurly burly of commerciality.
Very little has changed under new ownership, though a few nice touches are missing (eg flowers and radio in the shower room).
The village of Woolsery has taken a step towards gentrification, with an upmarket shop, newly decorated (2023) and a gastro pub as well as a fish and chip shop.
Bear in mind that sole access by a long concrete track may not suit everyone, but makes for a secure and peaceful site.

What a find! Fabulous location for a peaceful stay.
Last minute availability and we were not disappointed.
Great host Jane who even met us when we arrived, ensured we were comfortable and also had one of her colleagues show us where the facilities were.
Great facilities - shower block was very warm and cosy, even a kitchen sink wash up area and a microwave to use if needed.
Even though we had a motorhome we did use all the facilities.
Definitely worth a visit
Thank you

We stayed out of season and it was really quiet.
We had the services almost to ourselves and they were very nice - the shower area is like a home-from-home.
Very supportive staff and friendly owner.
You might need a hose to drain your motorhome grey waste.
Overall we would really recommend this quiet rural location, ideal for visiting clovelly and the local area.
