A real gem of a site if you are looking for peace and quiet. The small shower block with loo and washing up facilities were some of cleanest we have ever come across with plenty of hot water. The owners are caravanners themselves so they know what people expect. The views are magnificent on a clear day you can see Dartmoor. Bude is not very far away if you feel the need for a beach. We shall certainly be visiting again soon

Stayed at this excellent little hideaway site for a few days using one of the hardstanding serviced pitches in our motorhome. We were lucky with the weather and the views were truly outstanding, and with clear night skies and total lack of light pollution the stars really were breathtaking. The Shower Cabin was brilliant, it has a toilet, washbasin and large shower, with instant hot water, and all spotlessly clean. We walked into the village which has a great fish and chip shop and welcoming well stocked shop. We go away all year round and its often difficult to find sites with hardstandings during the off season so will definitely be returning to this gem.

We stayed here last August, family with three children in a touring caravan.
The site is beautiful, set In the gorgeous Devon country side. We found it easy to locate the site, which is near a little village which had shop, fish and chip shop (I can recommend the pea fritters!) and a pub.
The site itself is big enough for space between units, but small enough so that we could see the children at all times. (The site is well contained so it was excellent for our toddler who is a budding Houdini!) All the kids loved watching the sheep In The field as well as wildlife spotting with the binoculars. We managed to see 2 wild Deer whilst we were there which was very special. They made friend with the children at the farm and had many happy days exploring the countryside.
The toilet block is clean and spacious with a good, hot, powerful shower. The facilities behind the shower allow for pot washing as well as clothes washing (I did several hand washed loads whilst there). There were great information packs In the toilet which gave us all the local attractions and information. We thought this was a great touch.
We enjoyed several days out to family attractions, namely The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. We also went to the unspoilt Clovelly (wear good shoes!) and Appledore which is so pretty. Also worth a trip is the near by merry harriers which has a restaurant, deli and nice gifts.
We had good TV signal and all hook up facilities were good.
All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and we will be returning this summer.
Recommended for families, couples, older people.
