We were first time visitors this year. All I can really say is brilliant from start to finish. We usually do trailer tenting but vehicle change meant no towbar so we went for a static caravan. It was spotless, everything you needed in it and lots of little things you think you don't. 3 kids aged 14, 6 and 2, me and husband. The site was beautiful, all the staff friendly and always a smile.
Our 6 year old is disabled so we used the shower block facilities, all of which were spot on. Our 2 yr old does not like showers so we used the bath which our 6yr old used too, brill.
We saw some spectacular sunsets from the top fields and it was quiet with lots of friendly people who all seemed regulars. Thank you all at Trewince for helping us enjoy our holiday very much. We will be coming back hopefully and we have told everyone how lovely it was. If you need somewhere relaxed with everything you need close enough to visit the attractions you cant find a better place in our opinion. All with added views. Thank you again Trewince Farm. OH and the kids saw a calf just after it had been born which was a added bonus, beautiful.

Came back from Trewine Farm today and just had to write a review about this site.
Wow! Immaculate grounds, fabulously clean facilities, quiet with beautiful surroundings.
Children have brilliant play facilities and the general conduct of all on site is super-friendly and well worth visiting, even to use this Farm as a base for surrounding areas. The tariff for all pitches/statics are such good value when you consider all that's on site.
The on_site shop was extremely useful stocking all of your main needs with fresh milk, eggs and bread daily.
Also we would like to say a special thank you to three members of staff called Karen, Stephen and Sarah who went out of their way to make our stay all that we needed it to be and exceptionally tentative to my disability needs.
Overall please give Trewince Farm a try for a well deserved break.
We'll be back

Management response: Thank you very much for your fantastic review and your generous star rating. At Trewince we all work hard as a team to keep the site looking good throughout the year. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back. |

Just returned from a four night stay over Easter. Kids enjoyed the play area, skittles, table tennis and putting. We enjoyed the large pitch with water and electric hook up. So lovely to be on a large pitch - we have a Coleman Xtreme tunnel tent which sometimes over hangs so called super tent sized pitches - no so here - plenty of room and flat with no stones.
The weather was not great but we found the location of this site great for getting to Padstow and the surrounding area.
Recommend the Cornish Arms at St Merryn for lovely Rick Stein style pub grub. Well priced - will come back when its warmer.
We found the toilet block near the exit was superior to the lower one - but plenty of hot water in both. Good laundry too.
|
Management response: Thank you very much for your kind comments. The skittles is a new feature in the last year and it does seem to be keeping children entertained even if it is raining! The top toilet block is the main toilet block which is why there is more facilities up there like the laundry room. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back in the near future |

Just come back from an Easter break at this this site. The first outing for our tent of the year.
We were at the far end of the site near the flagpole which was still just a short walk to all facilities.
Good play area for the children.
Only bad points were:
- Showers. They are badly designed. It is very difficult to keep clothes dry as there is only small partition which separates the shower from where you hang your clothes. End result is wet shoes and clothes.
- Most people ignore the dogs must be kept on leads signs and you would often find a stray dog on your pitch.
|
Management response: Thank you for your appreciated comments about our campsite. We are pleased your children enjoyed the play area. We are sorry about the problems the showers caused and are hopefully modifying them for next year. Unfortunately all we can do about dogs being kept on leads is put signs up and tell people to keep to the rules which the majority of people do. We hope to welcome you back to Trewince again soon. |

Moved up to this site for our 6th visit, having always had enjoyable stays previously.
On this occasion, didn't stay in the usual field, but had a nice large EH pitch on the as always immaculate site.
At the time of this visit the site was extremely busy, maybe seeming more so due to being more in the centre of things.
Unfortunately, we had problems with noisy youths wandering on the first couple of nights, making noise and laughing round midnight, well away from their pitches. (Which we later found were all Touring Caravan pitches)
These inconsiderate were also seen in the early hours near the site office, which later suffered inevitable damage. I pity the poor warden who tried his heart out to sort out the problem, but only so much can be done by one person. After all, people are paying good money to have a holiday, not listen to groups of mindless sixth formers late at night.
We will give it another try, but only in a well chosen pitch. A pity, because we have always found it to be a clean, well located site with many good memories.

Great stay in Flag field: the 'overflow' space. Particular highlights were the space for the children to play. Loved all the extras: skittles/putting area for golf/the swimming pool.
Staff were helpful and the lady cleaning the shower block was very friendly. Showers were lovely and hot and clean.
Went to a fantastic barn dance held for the air ambulance. It was a great family fun evening.
In a great position for access to Padstow/Camel trail etc. Was a good walk at night to toilet block and the flag field is fairly exposed when it's windy but this was made up for by the privacy and space there. Would definitely visit again.

Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at this well kept and reasonably priced park. The site is very well maintained and toilet block is cleaned regularly. They have a heated outdoor pool, skittles, table tennis room and small pitch and putt. Staff are very helpful, and is only a few miles away from good surfing beaches.
The only negatives are that the fully serviced pitches have shared water, I asked about this in reception and was told I could BUY a T junction so both pitches could use this, luckily there was no one on the pitch next to us so didn't need to do this. It did seem to be a little odd that we may have needed to do this. Also you cannot book online like other sites. The positives far outweigh the negatives and we hope to return to this beautiful park again

Just returned from a week at Trewince with my wife, 11 year old son, his friend & our dog.
On the whole the site comes out as positive although not as good as other sites we've visited.
Positives;
1.We stayed in the 'Horseshoe' area where the pitches are full service & spacious with a great grass area in the middle where the kids played football - other families had younger kids playing there as well. Nice to have such an area where the kids can be seen playing from your van.
2. Swimming pool - the kids enjoyed the heated outdoor pool - all clean & well set out.
3. Location - Padstow & beaches in surrounding area are excellent - we can recommend Harlyn Bay & Porthcothan - both allow dogs.
4. Staff - all very helpful & polite
5. Shop - Daily newspapers can be ordered and essentials such as brad & milk are readily available.
6. Great walks in the countryside. I can wholly recommend the woodland walk if you have a dog, or enjoy walking - brings you out into open fields where your dog can have a great run around!
Negatives;
1. Site layout - once you're used to it, it's fine, but care needs to be taken on arrival to understand exactly where to find your plot - the road layout compared to the map can be confusing & we ended up having to turn round having gone the wrong way - :-( never much fun in a caravan in a tight space!
2. Toilet blocks - we only used the one closest to the 'Horseshoe'. In the mens there were only 3 washbasins & 4 showers which meant queuing on occasions. Also when I showered at 6pm the water was cold. There's no division between where you can undress & the actual shower meaning most of your belongings will get wet - there is certainly no point it wearing anything other than flip flops as footwear, as these will definitely get wet. Other sites we've been too have much better solutions. Both male & female toilets were also left with very wet slippery floors & no warnings after cleaning.
3. Water connections on full service pitches - seems that the pitches only have 1 tap between 2, although when I questioned how I was supposed to connect when my neighbour was already connect, we were given a 'T' connection by the site - so that both of use could connect to the one tap. From what they said this is something they are intending to improve.
As I said - more positives than negatives & a good site - worth a visit, although I have been to better.

This site has the worlds worst crazy golf course (allegedly) and that's the only negative about it. Stayed here for a week. Very well maintained and well thought out layout.
Friendly, helpful staff. Apart from the two large fields most of pitches very well sheltered. Gravel base hard standing means pegs need a bit of a wallop but a good floor for the awning.
Could do with more showers / loos but waits were only short. Good play area for kids and a decent heated outdoor pool with an adults only hour (great idea). Site attracts a lot of family units.
Small shop with good range of essentials at not much more that supermarket prices. St Issey's only facility was an 'ordinary' pub - 10 mins walk via the top field and a pathless A-road.
Use Wadebridge for shopping and Padstow for touristy stuff. Great base for North Cornwall would definitely stay again.

We had a great holiday here, very friendly staff, all the facilities were clean and tidy. Great choice of beaches nearby. Our children loved the pool even though the weather was a bit chilly some days. Lovely size tent pitches and not too many rules. If there was more play equipment for older children that would make it even better ! We intend to return this year.
