August 2005 Set in beautiful countryside with wonderful views we enjoyed a sunny stay at Trewince Farm. The pool was beautifully maintained, the pitches were of a good size and the site was generally well laid out. I felt the washroom/toilet facilities although adequately clean were tired and in need of refurbishment. I understand this site is to increase its size and therefore would benefit from an additional amenities block. The play area is lovely for children although it didn't generally quieten down until 10.15pm. The site used to be warden controlled and I feel this role needs to be re-instated particularly in peak periods. The friendly and accomodating owners were constantly putting up new notices by the pool which were unfortunately largely ignored by the few, spoiling it for the majority. We were also unfortunate to park next to a family who lit an open fire on several occasions which presented in my opinion a worrying safety issue. The shop was great it sold the basics required and offered a freezer block service. A local baker delivers freshly baked bread, pasties and chocolate croissants on a daily basis which have to be tried. The owners put on a BBQ by the pool each week, but the advertised tractor rides and pasty suppers were cancelled due to difficulties with insurance which was disappointing. We would definitely return to this site as overall it offered excellent value for money and was an excellent base for touring the local area.

August 2005 We stayed on a standard pitch which was plenty big enough for an 8 berth tent. This part of the camp felt more spacious than the plots nearer the centre of the camp with a green separating the pitches from those opposite. No rowdiness as no bar on site. Great for kids - take their bikes. Visit Harlyn Bay for waves, Padstow's Estuary beach for beautiful sand and views. Get on the camel trail at Wadebridge - fab

July 2005 Very impressed with this site. Extremely clean and tidy facilities (washrooms, outdoor pool and pitches themselves). Shop only sells basic provisions but Tesco only a couple of miles away at Wadebridge. Great base for exploring the many little beaches nearby (many dog friendly) or Padstow (if you like crowds!) or the Camel Trail cycleway.
Campsite does not have pub/clubhouse. If you want evening entrertainment laid on then this is not the site for you. Many of the pitches are permanent pitches. There are also lots and lots of caravans stored in a field here and these are put onto pitches as and when required so this limits the number of EHU pitches available to Joe Public without advance booking. However we were lucky enough to get one for the first week of the school summer hols booking only 2 weeks in advance so always worth a try - and the pitch was huge.
A fellow camper told us that the owners are going to put in more EHUs soon. Loads of space for tents without EHU in an overflow field.
We will definitely come back here again - only we'll order less rain next time!

Easter 2004 Quiet well-run family park. It was not busy when we were there so cannot comment on conditions in high season. Pitches seemed quite spacious and level.
Our only complaint was that there was no heating in the shower block, so although there was plenty of hot water, I got pretty chilly while towelling off but I guess when the weather is warmer it wouldn't be a problem.

March 2003 Have been back to this site for many years, both camping and caravaning. Well run, quiet, clean. Highly recommended
