We have just returned from 3 weeks stay at Chacewater Park as part of our Autumn tour of the West Country. Good value for money as a pensioner and bonus of being Adult only. Facilities on the park were very good and clean but no dedicated disabled facilities on dog owners side of the park. There is only one shower room with toilet and basin and grab handles but because it is not labelled disabled most people use it as first choice.
It is a quiet site with seemingly friendly owners. It has a small shop/office selling some basics. There is nothing of interest within walking distance so you have to drive everywhere or use public transport but there is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the park
Ideal base for touring Cornwall as there are many attractions within half hours drive including Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm where they do excellent meals and lovely seaside town of Perranporth which has a great beach for your dog to run free on.
Although the park allows dogs and has a dog walk area it is far from being dog friendly as there are many rules for dogs to obey because the park owners seem to have 'spies' watching in case the dog steps out of line. Although in the three weeks we were there all dogs and owners acted very responsibly!
Sadly for this reason we will not be returning to Chacewater.

Me my wife and our dog stayed here on a fully serviced pitch and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pitches are quite large on the serviced pitch area with plenty room in between pitches. The toilets and showers are kept immaculate. The waste bins are emptied daily no matter how full or empty they are. The staff are very friendly and helpful if you need any local information. Redruth truro etc. Are all lovely towns to visit with the resorts of newquay and perranporth not to far away either. There are supermarkets close by for the shopping. There's a cider making place near perranporth which is well worth a visit as you can purchase to take away or even drink it on draught too. They have an enormous dog walk which is very handy too which is also regularly mowed. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and re booked for next July again. Many thanks for a wonderful stay and well done for keeping it a really nice site, from me, my wife and the mutt.

This was our second visit here, we came about five years ago and it was just as lovely as we remembered it. We like the fact it's adult only and in a very quiet location. We got a lovely corner pitch which was nice and private. The family who run it are lovely and so helpful, I think they have a lot of customers who go year after year. The over 60s discount is good and the wifi is excellent value and the price is for 2 pc's and it's a strong signal. We didn't use local shops as we were out and about and they're not in walking distance for us. This is a great spot for having trips out all around Cornwall as it's very central and you get on to the A30 very quickly. Facilities good, never over busy, showers red hot and a good disabled room for my husband. Will be back here agai.

Stayed for 7 nights June 2015 and wished we had booked for longer. The site is excellent, plenty of space. The showers are brilliant, plenty of room and separate area to get dried and leave clothes. The reception and shop are very good. There is lots of information about the area and places to visit. The site itself is central to most areas. We shall definitely visit again and for longer.

If you want peace and quiet then Chacewater is the place.
The site is basically divided into three areas. Two areas have super pitches (fully serviced) one of these is for dog owners whilst the other does not allow dogs. The third area is non serviced. All of the pitches are spacious so you will never feel crowded. The toilet blocks are immaculate and plentiful.
We stayed for a week in June and took advantage of the offers the site run, big mistake, we should have stayed longer. Quite a few people stay for 3 or 4 weeks at the early part of the season.
The site is in a great location to explore South Cornwall. There are a couple of pubs within a few miles that offer good value meals.
Important that you follow the directions given by the site as it will avoid some nasty bends and narrow roads.

Fantastic site, quiet, clean very friendly owners. Grass was always well trimmed, bins always being emptied. Toilets always clean. Being of OAP years I like it quiet and I like it child free. The location is great to get to anywhere in Cornwall using your own car or the bus. We really enjoyed our two weeks at this site, going back, next year I hope for three weeks!

An idyllic site in a perfect location for seeing most of Cornwall. We arrived with a broken jockey wheel and the owners were extremely helpful in helping us to site our van. Over and beyond the call of duty. We were not made to feel a nuisance. The site is quiet, perfect for us. The village is close by for supplies with two pubs, general store, fish n chips and bakery. The site itself has a small shop and has a wonderful library of books which can be swapped. The shower rooms and toilets are very clean and functional. We found it ideal to access the towns and beaches we wished to visit. We are definitely returning next year. Perfect!

Excellent site,
Well maintained, great location, very quiet and adults only.
There are 2 caravan pitch area's, 1 for dog owners and 1 for caravanners who don't have dogs.
In reception there is a well stocked shop, local interest area with loads of leaflets for nearby attractions and a book and magazine exchange.
Daily newspapers are available in reception but they must be ordered in advance.
The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and exceptionally helpful.
The toilet blocks are cleaned everyday and are spotless and whilst they are closed there is still a small toilet in the reception block that has always been available.
The laundry is small but very clean and good value for money.
We go to Cornwall every year for at least two weeks and found this site when the site we had been using was fully booked and we have never looked back.
We have been going here for 4 years now and would not even consider going to another site in Cornwall.
If you want peace and quiet with no kids, (They do not let anyone under 30 years of age on the site), then this is the place for you.
The grass is cut very regularly, always at least once a week and there are a number of bins for recycling at locations around the park, they also have a newspaper and magazine recycling point in reception.
Also the park is situated in a great location with all of south Cornwall only a short drive.
Do not even consider anywhere else.
10 out of 10 across the board!

Our second visit here, once again we had a lovely relaxing break.
Cost us £94 for a week including hook up (over 55 prebooked price). Great value for money.
Caravans well spaced out, plenty of room for awnings too, although most were on hard standing. Plenty of water points for those not on serviced pitches.
New shower/wet rooms in one area. All toilets/showers etc really clean.
Wifi now on site, excellent coverage from one of the 4 masts, there is a charge, but it was worth it.
Not many people staying whilst we were there, we were informed this is normal for August, but they are very busy, June, July, September, so a real bonus for us.
2 pubs in nearby Chacewater, both do food, we only went to the Britannia.
Bus at end of road near site in to Truro, so ideal if you do not want to drive and park!
Good choice of beaches, all within reasonable travelling distance.
Will definitely revisit.

We found this site a little too far from facilities and were disappointed with the upkeep as the grass was only cut once in the two weeks we were there this meant as there was heavy rain wet feet even though I wore trainer while dog walking. A negative approach with rules and regulation for my dog over all not a welcoming site our pitch was overlooked an all sides we had very little privacy. Showers and toilets would benefit from heating no helpful information for fishing locally as requested when booking.
