Booked site as 'adult only' status appealed to me being a teacher. I arrived with another female colleague who wanted to try her hand at camping whilst her husband was away. On arrival we were told that the site did not accept single sex groups even though there were just two of us. Both in our 30's, we were amazed. Eventually one of the female owners shouted across to her father to put us to the back of the site in case we were trouble! We did stay the week and hasten to add, behaved beautifully, but, needless to say, I will not be returning.

An adults only site, age 30+. The site itself is mainly flat and is almost all caravans with just 5 pitches for tents. No electric hook up in the tents.
My only gripe about the tent field is its right on the main road in and out of the campsite and it can be noisy early in the morning or late at night with the early/late arrivers.
Toilets and showers on the site are well maintained and cleaned daily, but they can get a bit grubby if those using them dont clean up after themselves, Especially in the morning as the showers are cleaned around 10am.
The site is constanly cleaned by the staff, whom we have found to be friendly and helpful on the occassions we have stayed here.
As the campsite is 30+ there are times that the site goes almost ghostly quiet, usually around 7:30-8:30pm depending on which day of the week :) The site also has a seperate field for dog excercise. An excellent site in a really nice area, about 3 miles off the A30.

June 2004 After a bad start due to a misunderstanding over the pitch booked, we had a lovely holiday. Site very clean, spotless showers, very quiet, owners very helpful. Lovely cycle route from one coast to the other, the site being central, also lots of walks, very interesting area, lots of old mines, engine houses etc. Lovely beaches nearby, also Falmouth and Truro, alas we were there for the worst June weather for over a hundred years, the worst wind we have had to cope with, luckily our combi-camp stood us proud. I would highly recommend this site for older couples looking for a peaceful holiday.

Sep 2002 I have visited this site every year from the first year it became a adults only site. It is a very clean and tidy site with very helpful and frendly people runing it. I look on this site as being my place in Cornwall.
