Helpful couple welcoming guests to the site. Electricity for tents a real plus; long extension provided by our hosts.
Loos/showers really clean with loads of hot water.
Great location. Very dog friendly with lovely walks on site and plenty to do nearby.
Would highly recommend the firepit.

For me the site was perfect.
The pitches are well spaced out. All you can hear are birds. Perfect peace and quiet.
Ingred and Dave have a little piece of heaven. Hot tub hire, fire pits, pods and simple peace.
Well set out toilet block and showers and a little communal building with fridge and tv.
Really enjoyed our week

Another relaxing break at colemere caravan and camping site, with the covid guidelines in place Dave and Ingrid have sorted out all the needed guidelines to keep their site open.
The site is still as relaxing as always, wasn't a lot of waiting around for toilet and shower facilities despite the site being filled to capacity over the weekend we stayed,
The communal kitchen was closed due to covid, despite this it was still very nice stay and we cant wait to return for another break again
I would highly recommend this site to any who need to switch off and relax. the site certainly delivers being set in great surroundings with plenty of places to visit and nice walks around Colemere lake.

Very cosy little site, we were on the field at the back which was nicely situated. The ground here was certainly not flat which did cause issues and is one to keep in mind. The site also has a strict noise policy.
All facilities are well maintained. The owners are often seen across the site monitoring events
You have to buy their wood for the firepits and they cost £15 for an ‘evenings’ supply. The surroundings are lovely (very narrow roads) with several lakes/ canals and walks in general. 10mins drive from main supermarket (1hr walk each way). Ellesmere is a nice little town to visit.
If the ground was flat & the firepits were cheaper/included in a deal when you booked then I would consider this a no-brainer to book.

Lovely site, and so friendly/helpful owners.
The site was clean and the toilet facilities regularly cleaned with hand sanitiser available.
The pitches are well speed, so social distancing no problem.
Enjoyed the local walking, even if the weather was unseasonably wet

Excellent site, owners Dave and Ingrid are really nice,
Facilities are very good, showers and toilets are very clean, covered communal kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster and two kettles, also large flat screen TV, big tables to sit around,
Pond area landscaped with hot tub, excellent value for money,
Will definitely return and will recommend this site to others, as it's good location allows you to explore local area.

Lovely area but its easy to miss the entrance to this site down the winding lane. There are 2 fields - 1 with EHU, a small gypsy caravan, a cute shepherds hut a couple of pods and room for a few tents.
The other field is not level all over so the first to arrive get the best pitches. All the necessary facilities are present but need sprucing up. The communal kitchen and eating area with piped music is a nice touch. But the electric appliances are piled up on the draining board fed by a scary looking extension hanging precariously on the edge of the worktop.
The ladies toilet is adequate in size but lacking in detail eg no soap dispenser, only a grubby towel slung over a door next to the sink and no hairdryer. The men's toilet is not practical as there is only one of everything all in the same room making for queues. Portaloos in the first camping field smelt terrible when we were there.
Also the chemical toilet emptying pit was disgusting with no water for rinsing as it had been diverted to to the portaloos. It was obviously a popular site with a constant flow of campers. But there appeared to be no rules and dogs wandered freely and fires were lit late at night dangerously close to other tents.
The owner was a nice enough guy but too laid back to supervise. Lots of dragonflies and birds for those who like nature. A walk round the Mere is a must. But would not return unless facilities improved.

The owner was friendly and the site was clean. The toilet block was clean and well looked after.
There was a little area with kettle, toaster, fridge etc which was also clean.
We stayed in the bow top gypsy caravan which was smaller than I thought it would be but again was clean and adequate for our needs with a TV. The caravan was situated next to a wildlife part of the garden where we saw rabbits, birds, butterflies and dragonfly, I also heard an owl hooting in the night, brilliant.

Just returned from a weekend at this adult site. Its situated along single track lanes which I found a bit nerve wracking towing a caravan especially leaving, as the thought of meeting another coming the opposite way was daunting but all was well.
The site has 2 pods and a horse drawn Gypsy caravan, all of which were occupied, there were 4 caravans and a number of tent's in the 2 fields, apart from some noisy dogs and the odd airplane it was quiet, the facilities are basic but work ok and the music playing in the pot washing area is a nice touch (and very low volume).
The main field slopes gently down, the grass was cut short although the perimeter not so much, there is a sty at the bottom over which you get to the mere, you can walk the well trodden path, and it seems well used although my wife found it a bit spooky in the late evening.
We went into Ellesmere and Oswestry both nice little places to visit.
Constructive criticism wise - I found the elsan point overgrown with thistles -they need cutting back and a little bit better sign at the entrance as you don't want to miss it on those single track lanes.
