A group of us have just returned from this campsite after a two night stay. We went straight to reception where we were given a map which was drawn on to show us to our pitches. We were quite lucky as they managed to organise three electric pitches together. As soon as we arrived to the pitches, we were disappointed to find broken glass all over one pitch (we had five kiddies & a dog with us), of course a friend went straight to reception to complain, one of the wardens came over straight away to clean it up and was very apologetic. Thought that was the whole point in a two/three hour gap between guests, to have a quick check.

All was well albeit windy (not campsites fault, just the typical weather). Didn't use many facilities, club house not used, shop ok but didn't open til 9 each morning! football pitch was small but beware concrete, playground was reasonable but not much on it, pool looked ok but didn't use it due to weather. The big playing field by our pitch was good, on a slope but all of us had a brilliant game of cricket on it. The whole campsite was on a slope, so you may want to reconsider if you have difficulty in getting around.

Now, the toilets/showers were an issue, not very clean at all, weren't checked regularly, hence no toilet roll and left very dirty by other users think this needs to be addressed by sight owners. All in all ok for a couple of nights, price was good so you get what you pay for, not sure if we'd go for longer as I wouldn't like my kiddies using the toilets/showers to often.

Ooh, forgot to mention fab views.

Found site quite easy to find using a sat nav might of been difficult to find with out one.

The reception gave us a map of the site lay out showed us on the map where our pitch was. The electric hook up section pitches are all on a slope which I think is used as a ski slope during winter. How a caravan didn't topple over I don't know. There is a code for use of the toilets which is worth writing down and keep handy. The toilets were cleaned regularly unfortunately the hand dryer didn't work the site states dogs are allowed but if you go to any of the beaches near by dogs are banned the children loved the outdoor pool. Its not all bad the views looking over the sea are spectacular

After staying here for three weeks last year we found that the site was poorly run and not very well kept.

The touring/camping toilets were not to the cleanest standard although having signs up saying they had just been cleaned. The pitches at the front are on a slope which makes everything very difficult.

The entertainment was very repetitive but the food was very good. The pool was very cold and small. The shop has everything you need but expensive and the local shops are far away.

We found the site very cliquey with staff and residents taking over the bar in the evenings. Also residents are looked after more than short stay customers.

We have just got back from a stay at warden springs, we stayed in a non electric pitch for 3 nights.

The facilities we good, toilets and showers were clean and tidy. The playground was a good size and lots for all ages to do. We didn't go in the swimming pool but what we saw looked very clean and tidy.

From previous reports I was nervous about going as I booked before reading reviews however we never experienced anything of the dirty area, rubbish everywhere etc.

The clubhouse was good, children had fun. I did find it a bit clicky but I think this is just generally as a lot of people know each other. I didn't let it bother me and just chatted to people, who turned out to be quite nice.

The campsite is in the middle of nowhere but I didn't mind this and before we left there were a load of new signs put up. I didn't find the road too bumpy, however we went the wrong end of thorn hill road first and that way would of destroyed our car so a quick phonecall to the campsite got us there they right way.

There was a lot of stuff on for the children which was for all age groups.

Where we were situated was very breezy but we were right next to the sea, we went for a few walks along the cliff and it was lovely.

I didn't find it loud at all, didn't even hear the clubhouse even at 8pm.

Over all a great campsite

On reading previous reviews I was hesitant to visit this site but as it was just 30 minutes from home & £12 for a Saturday night I decided to give it a go.

Firstly a 30 minute journey ended up taking 90 minutes as it is not easy to find. When we did find the access road we noticed the sign had been overgrown by a hedge & the other sign was on the opposite side of the road once you had made the turn ie It was behind you. On arrival we were given all the paraphernalia & shown on the map how to reach our pitch, basically drive down a fairly steep hill & just before you go over the cliffs in to the North Sea, you have found the touring part of the site. Although the pitch was heavily sloped (as are almost all of them) it had direct EHU access & a water tap & an unrivalled view of the sea! With great weather this was fantastic, quiet & relaxing!. Due to the time of the year there were just 2 tents & 2 caravans.

The touring site is divided with hedges for every few pitches with woodland & static caravans behind you & the sea in front of you. The facilities were in a building erected circa 1940 but the facilities were recent & clean with 4 toilets & showers in the men's, unfortunately the female facilities were taped off & closed for refurbishment (this was not mentioned at check in)

& there was no indication of what females should do for showers or toilet facilities. There was a small club house / bar & shop where everyone was very clicky.

Overall great location, cheap prices & fantastic views but the site is quite secluded & you would not know you were on Sheppy! We will return as & use the site as a cheap bolthole & my 4 year old was desperate to use the outdoor swimming pool which all looked very clean but was not open at this time of the year.

Having just come back from this site I thought it only fair to make an up to date review on the site.

The views are fantastic and even my teenage daughter got out of the tent and said 'this is beautiful' wow we did something right.

Yes there are pitches that are on a very steep hill and I don't think I would have been happy being placed up there but the view once again is very good from up there too, we were on the flat pitches which were fine and my children 2,5,13 were able to play freely around the tent as the fencing by the cliff side is new and is totally safe.

We didn't venture down to the beach but a lot of people did and upon there return their shoes/boots were very muddy

I can agree that the bins were overflowing when we arrived but the bin men arrived the day after and the mess was gone.

The bathroom area, well what can I say yes it could have done with a spring clean as cobwebs are at the windows if you are on the hilly area the washrooms are a bit further than if you are on the flat area. The mess that is caused is from people not cleaning up after themselves,no problems with toilet paper always well stocked. I saw a lot of young children making there way to the toilets with siblings not much older than themselves to use the toilets which means they were really left to their own devices. There are 4 sinks 2 in the toilet are, 2 in the shower area, 6 toilets and 3 showers really 2 showers as the middle one drips and is really of no use to anyone, yes it does have a press button operation system and yes, one of the days we were there the gas went and the showers were freezing. My husband did say that the mens washroom were very clean and did not have any problems over that side.

I didn't use the washing up area as we went with our own washing bowls etc but I did see the shed with cobwebs yes that is true but the sinks were clean when I took a peek.

The clubhouse was fine and the children enjoyed the dancing and entertainment. The food that they served was ok but the local pub food was really nice and big portions too.

We didn't use the pool as we weren't there very long.

Staff were very friendly and we did enjoy our stay at the park.

We arrived on the Monday after finally finding the site, the directions are poor to say the least, and we were given a very warm welcome, the staff directed us to our site and let us choose where we wanted to pitch. We chose a tree lined area which had power and water next to it. The site was clean and well maintained. The washing facilities were Ok for the gents as they had been recently refurbished however the ladies had not and we found them in need of the same refurbishment the gents had been subject to. This made the trip unpleasant for half our party. The club house was ok with the usual Resort park food and entertainment. The food was good value but I found the drinks very expensive. The route to the beach is treacherous. The views are great though and we did enjoy this. The Isle of Sheppey has very little to offer but if you are looking for a 'get away from it all' trip then this is fine

I agree with everyone else it is a long drive down the lane

When we arrived at warden springs we were told where we had to pitch but when getting(finding) to the pitch it was already taken so walk back to reception and they said pitch where you like so started pitching behind trees more shelter from wind and the man comes over from our pitch and tells us we have to move so annoying once we finaly pitch we had great weather and it was so peaceful and relaxing even when I got stuck in the mud on the beach haha when we went crabbing my son loved it and will be going again

We went with the sun holidays when they were £1 a night

We arrived on a Friday night and after travelling down an unlit road for approx miles we arrived at a very tatty campsite with lots of static caravans have run timber sheds attached to them. The initial greeting was very good; the staff were more than too pleased to help.

The pitch was sloping and wet, so a challenge but never the less, the view was very good. Great location.

The evening entertainment was targeted to the people that have perm static vans, it was very loud (at 6pm) food was ok for pub food.

The music went on until 12 to 1am ish, and then there were private parties going on in static caravans until 3am. Needless to say we and the three kids 2,7 and 9 left in the morning ( a night early! )

The person with the motorhome should have tried pulling a caravan as we did that was a challenge! Although you can arrive at night we would not recommend it as leading up to the site is very poorly lit and the touring area has no lighting, vehicles were parked anywhere giving very poor access, many units seemed to have more than 1 vehicle which caused more problems. We only ventured to the pub/club once, pop and glasses left on tables, it was 3pm and we were the only people in there but rather than clean the tables the barmaid went for a cigarette on the front of the club! From the static vans a birthday party was allowed to go on loudly until after 4am to which is very anti social for the touring community particularly those in tents and those with young children. Finally the divisions between the pitches were all overgrown invading on your space, however the site did have spectacular views and sheppy was a lovely place to chill out.
