The views are spectacular. The pitches are slightly sloping so bring levelling blocks with you. The shower block had three showers that 99% of the time were freezing cold as well as cobwebs and push buttons which lasted about 3 secs. The outdoor swimming pool is very small but in the 3 weeks we were there, not once was it heated, it was always cold. The clubhouse is expensive and the food was poor, usually just a member of staff taking it in turns to cook, no chef! Entertainment very poor, staff are not helpful at all. There is NO tv reception at all and definitely no freeview and most of the time no mobile phone signal. The playground facilities are poor and are only aimed at 2-5 years, but of course they have an arcade section for the older ones

Upon arriving at the site after a road that never seemed to end, and one that is very difficult to pass other oncoming vehicles because it is so narrow, we arrived at the site. First impressions were really poor, bins overflowing, generally looking dirty. We were shown to our pitch which was on a sloping hill, pitch size was also extremely tight nowhere near the size that was advertised. Showers both male and female were disgusting to the point that my wife refused to use them. Swimming pool was limited to 20 persons in at a time so my son was in for 10 mins then out then in,. Shop on site was tiny with minimal offerings on sale nearest tescos about 20 mins drive. Steep cliffs to rear of the site. We were unfortunate enough to be sited right in front of some rowdy people who were noisy upon there return from the clubhouse.

A very picturesque site with fantastic views but not really geared towards tents. The few pitches they had were very cramped and the touring field was on a steep slope. The pitches all run along the cliffs edge with only a rickety bit of fence and a footpath between you and quite a steep drop down to the beach, quite nerve racking when you have a couple of two year olds charging about! If you wanted to take a walk down to the beach you have a 10-15 minute walk through overgrown bushes and trees, dodging the discarded mattresses and litter as you go! The beach, although it looks spectacular is very muddy and we found ourselves up to our knees in sludge in some places.
The staff, although friendly and helpful over the phone when booking for our large group were however not so helpful when we arrived, the electric pitch we had requested didn't materialize leaving us to try and squeeze 5 tents onto four pitches which we got told off for! and as we all arrived at different times some of us didn't receive our welcome packs meaning no tent i.D and no entertainment/pool passes and when we asked for them we were made to feel like it was us in the wrong.
The evening entertainment was very disappointing, one of the families camping with us had recently been to another Park Resort site and had been impressed especially with the kids entertainment, here though we didn't bother going back to the club house after one night!
There are only three showers for the whole site and they hardly worked, they had push button taps that lasted for about 3 seconds and literally dribbled water, not good when trying to rinse long hair! The toilets (6 of them) were constantly running out of loo roll and the sink area was very cramped To top it off they were constantly locked, you had to have a 5 number key pad code just to go to the loo.! There was one washing up sink, which leaked and was in a horrible spidery shed and our nearest water tap was on the same post as an electric hook up!

Really good campsite, but the toilet facilities could do with an update. There are only 3 sinks in the toilet block and only one of those has a plug, there are also no shelves or hooks, which leaves you with the problem with where to put all your stuff. The campsite it self, is great. The little shop has everything, and more, you could ever want and the staff are great. Entertainment area is excellent. This was actually our second visit, we went for the first time over Easter, so all in all, great site, but please update the toilets.

This site was ideal for a short break, we found the staff extremely nice and helpful. The facilities were adequate, toilets and showers were cleaned twice a day, although water temperature could not be regulated so kids found showers too hot for them. The basic pitches (no electric/water) were on an extremely steep slope although we were lucky and were able to find a relatively flat spot right at the top (bit of a killer for me though not being as fit as I should) A bonus though was the view, it was stunning. The club was noisy at night, felt sorry for those holiday makers situated close by. The pool was small, but kids wanted to swim so they took the plunge, they said it was very cold, although the brochure said it was heated? They also made full use of the playground, which they enjoyed as there was enough equipment to satisfy them. Being a nature lover, I found this site very interesting, we went beachcombing and found several fossils. The area is surrounded by woods and coastal walks, ideal for dog walking, dogs were welcomed at the site so all in all it suited us perfectly. Would go again.

We booked this pitch at the last minute and was very impressed with the website of Park Resorts. Unfortunately the park didn't live up to our expectations.
The toilets where only cleaned once every 48 hours. There is only one toilet block and only have three showers, with only one of them having a lock on. These showers would be useless for young children as they are boiling hot! The bins where not emptied every day so the smell was awful.
We went on a basic pitch with no hook up and although we booked a flat pitch we still ended up on a slope as most of the pitches are full of holes. My mother came along with us with her tent and went electric hook up, but these where just on ruble and again on a slope. To get to the beach you have to use the woods which is full of dog mess and used needles, again very unsafe for children and dogs. We took our dogs along at 3 quid a night, but the site didn't even provide dog bins for you to dispose of the the dog mess.
Although quieter in the week at weekends the site is very very noisy at night. We didn't see any sign of security. If you do not have transport, it would make it very difficult to get around here, the nearest shop apart from the very small and extremely expensive site shop is about five miles out.
The reception staff are next to useless, we arrived at 12pm on a very hot day with two tired dogs and was told we couldn't book in for another four hours, when we did get booked in we were told to pitch where we wanted, so as far as we could see there was no reason for us not to pitch as soon as we arrived, in fact over the few days we where there people where pitching then going to reception at 4pm to book in. On the second day I asked at reception do they have a facility where we could re freeze our ice packs and was told "dunno love, I couldn't tell you!" In the end the shop put them in there freezer but they are next to useless as ice pack still not frozen after 36 hours.
The only positive thing about the park to the amazing views out to sea.

July 2005 The narrow winding road to get to the campsite was far from easy to negotiate. Fortunately we didn't meet any caravans or motorhomes coming the opposite way. If we had, then there would have been problems.
Nowhere suitable for a motorhome or caravan to pull in on arrival to visit reception.
Our pitch was handy, as literally straight ahead of the entrance. The view (being on the front line along the cliff) was fantastic. Obviously the campers & tourers were put on the very front, because the cliffs are receeding, and campers/tourers are easier to shift back if there is any significant problem than a static van.
The site advertised that there was a path to the beach and fishing on site. In reality, the path was only suitable if you were a mountain goat or a rock climber. Totally unsuitable for young children or those who were not excellent able bodied walkers (so I was stuffed!). Although there was a fence along the cliff edge, there was also a man made stile and gap that led through, right beside a notice that said how dangerous the cliff edge was.
All pitches are grass, and nowhere near level. We managed to get our motorhome into a reasonable spot on the pitch, which being the end one, was a fair size, with plenty of room for our awning, although we found it annoying that because it was the end pitch, people walked through it as a short cut, so we constantly had people crossing our pitch to get to the path. Had we been staying longer, I'd have used our wind break and bought an additional one, to stop people walking through. Hook up was ok, tap was ok, but drain was almost invisible due to the grass not having been cut round it, and the broken off pitch marker in the way on the ground beside it. The pitches further along were separated by wooden posts, so you did have some idea of where your pitch ended. Most of the tourers we saw there were obviously long term pitch lets, as the grass was growing round them. Some were segregated by hedges.
Hubby went to use the gents showers on Sunday morning, but was back within 5 mins, saying the showers were freezing cold and there were broken bottles and cigarette ends on the shower cubicle doors. I used the facilities in our van, so can't comment on the ladies toilet blocks, other than what my children said about them being dirty.
We had burger and chips from the take away, although the music was so loud in there that they got our order wrong and we were too brassed off to take it all back as they had initially served it up on plates rather than packing it for take away - hence by the time we got it back to the van, most of it was cold. Chips were nice though! Prices were cheap - just over £11 for 3 portions of chips and 5 burgers.
There was a party going on outside one of the static vans, which was quite annoying because of how loud the music was and how loud people had to shout to be heard over it, and how late it went on. I'd hoped that by 10pm, they might have had the decency to keep the noise down, but they didn't and no one came to check on them either. They were spread out infront of other vans and had a large barbecue going, with smoke filling the air. The noise was still going when we eventually shut all our windows to block it out (despite the heat) at nearly midnight.
My son & daughters went exploring and said the pool and hot tub looked good, but didn't try it out at all as it was shut by the time we got there, and we left early next morning to find somewhere more peaceful.
My personal feelings are that the park needs a noise policy and to have this enforced where necessary. The camping pitches really need to be teraced, and the toilets need to be cleaned more frequently. Doubt much can be done about the road, but other than that, the sea views were superb. It could be a nice park with a bit more work and thought put into it.
