Fortunately found this campsite to still have availability over the May bank holiday weekend to accommodate a group of 3 camping vehicles and a couple of tents for our annual group camping trip.
We wanted to explore Morecambe and Lancaster and the site seemed suitably placed. It's about 20+ minutes walk to the sea front though there are bus stops nearby.
The site itself is mostly a large, spacious field and we were placed on the perimeter edges where the hookups are. It didn't fill up over the weekend so never felt busy. As it's located a little inland there aren't coastal views but that didn't bother us for the purpose of this trip.
The (newly refurbished) toilet/shower block were nice and clean every time I used them. The showers were lovely and warm if a little bit tight on space.
The one I used had plenty of hooks for hanging things though some of the women in our group said there weren't hooks available in their side. Presumably these were still being fitted in the refurbishment? I had no problems at all in the gents side.
All in all I'd recommend staying here for a quiet site located away from the busier sites nearer the town. Nothing is too far away that you can't get a bus, taxi or have a walk.
We explored Morecambe sea front the first evening while we got our bearings, doing the obligatory Eric Morecambe pose by his statue! The next day we did the 4/5 mile walk along the disused railway into Lancaster and explored the castle, the monument in the park and of course the pubs!
Lancaster is a really pretty place and is worthy of another visit. On the third day we treated ourselves to a taxi trip into Heysham old village, which is also beautiful!
Very nice micropub on the High Street. The area as a whole has a lot to offer visitors and we'll definitely back to explore more.

Quiet pleasant site with very friendly owner, very well kept.
Plenty of toilets but only one shower as the other two were locked off in the ladies and for some reason neither ladies or gents showers have full size doors!
A good half hour walk to the town, but we did notice a bus stop about 10 minutes walk from the site.

Enjoyed 3 nights camping at Sunnyside.
The weather was lovely and the grass field was freshly mown.
The two ladies in the office were extremely polite and helpful, they work so hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay and to make sure the toilets were spotless clean at all times, (I even saw one of them up cleaning the toilets at 6am )
Very handy little site as only a 10 minute walk to the promenade
Thank you very much we hope to return next summer xx

This was our first camping trip.
The site and owners were absolutely brilliant. Showed us where to set up, showed us the facilities and explained a couple of rules to us.
We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we left after the first night because we had torrential rain and we discovered our tent hadn’t been waterproofed before we bought it, but that’s nothing to do with this excellent site.
We will be back

Had a fab 4 days camping, owners are really helpful and friendly plenty of room for the kids to play football.
Toilets kept clean all the time, we all had a great time and everybody was so friendly, great campsite, great people will definitely be back.
Not far to walk into morecambe to the beach and only 5 minutes walk to the pub where we got a great meal.
See you all again soon, , , ,

Lovely level pitches and friendly welcome. Short walk to Morecombe. Toilets very clean as were showers, but facilities were very much in need of an update as very old and tired.
Showers were really quite inadequate as there was nowhere to get dressed after the shower except either in the very small shower cubicle or immediately outside; there was very limited privacy.
Some parts of the site looked like a scrapyard, which was a bit of an eyesore.
