We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights with our 2 young children, they loved it very much,
The camping field was lovely and clean had plenty of room which we loved as we were able to blow up a swimming pool for the kids,
We will look forward to coming back next year,
Thank you all at sunnyside for a great little holiday

Please note we had previously been advised in 2016 by the owner that this site was closed to campers
We have now been advised that part of this site is now open for tourers and tenters, whilst another area is being changed into residential park homes, and there is a substantial amount of caravan storage.
Previous reviews are obviously now old, so not all details may be relevant to the current situation.
If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

First of all when we phoned the site we advised we wanted to pitch 3 tents for 3 nights and asked for a price we were advised £45 for all of us, we thought this was fantastic and were looking forward to our trip. When we arrived at the site we were advised that this price was rubbish and it would cost us £9 per night per tent, as we were already there and all other camp sites in the area was booked we had no choice but to pay and camp there.
As per the previous review the camp site is very basic but what we weren't expecting was the state of the facilities. The ladies toilets had about 10 toilets in there but only one had a flusher and they didn't look like they had been cleaned for a while, the mens were not as bad but still not very clean. There was a skip on the site full of rubbish that looked like it hadnt been emptied for years. The site is also used for caravan storage.
They also used an old stable which was totally filled with different materials and bedding the same with some of the caravans on there, which were also used for storage of rags and material they were packed so full that the windows were broken and it was bulging at the seems. Dogs were also roaming free
We enjoyed what we made of things, but wouldn't go to this site again.

This was our very first camping trip with the kids and what a lovely trip it was, the owner was very friendly and helpful as we got lost on our way and I had to phone him for directions.
The site however is very basic there is a toilet/shower block and the showers left much to be desired, but at the end of the day we boiled the kettle and washed in the tent so not much of a problem. The kids loved the chickens and the cockerels (which made a bit of noise in the morning).
We enjoyed our stay here and intend to go back

Very basic, small site with friendly owners. The whole site was very muddy and churned up on arrival - it was difficult to find a grassy ptich, even though the site was quiet. Cheap for the area, but a long way from facilities (pub, beach, town etc).

August 2003 Very basic site with only showers toilets. It is a very frendly site but not the most modern.
It suits early risers as the cockrals have you up bright and early and it is pleasant to watch the chickens and guynnyfowl trotting round the site all day.
The owner is an animal lover so dogs and cats are welcome as long as they are under control.
This is a cheap and cheerful campsite.
