We absolutely loved it here!
We stayed in a tent in the woodland area, which gives you the feeling of wild camping, while still having toilet, shower and wash up facilities readily available.
Bob is a fantastic host, and was always available checking that people had everything they needed, but never in an intrusive way.
We didn't have a gazebo or any cover other than our tent, but on the one night it rained could take our torches, cards (and wine) to a large, wooden covered communal space to shelter from the weather. It was great to have this as an option, if needed.
Usually when camping we might pop out to a pub for an evening, but it's not really suitable walking distance as you have to cross a busy dual carriage way, and wouldn't want to do that late at night (fine in the day - we went out for walks). However we quickly realised we would be more than happy spending all three evenings around our campfire!
Can't recommend this campsite enough, to both families, as well as groups of friends.

Stayed for 3 nights in the woodlands area pitch 16 with my wife eldest daughter and son in law and granddaughters aged 1 and 4. our youngest daughter was with us as was our son and his partner
We all had our own tents and we will be going back, loved every minute of it, we all did from building the camp fire to walking around the woods
Toilets very clean and showers too
Bob the owner what a very great guy, so helpful always checks on you see how you are and if need fire logs or ice
we took our own rubbish home with us in respect, shame others don’t though
All in all we will be all going back, can’t wait. cheers bob for a great stay. 10 out of 10

The campsite was lovely, and just what we were looking for!
Our first night the weather wasn’t great but due to the woodland and hedge boarder we were covered.
It’s as close to wild camping as you can be but with a toilet/shower block for those who want.

Lovely campsite! Pitches have a great distance between each other, providing privacy. The woodland is beautiful and is well maintained.
Bob is very friendly and is always around to ensure the clients are happy. Toilets were very clean. Great for kids.
I will definitely come back!

You arrive and are greeted (if you wait at reception), taken to your spot to camp.
You can pre-book to camp in the forest and if there is one you like you can request a specific spot (they are numbered).
We stayed in a field which is fenced off round the edges stopping our children who can't climb the fence yet from escaping adding nice sense of security.
There are bits and pieces around for entertainment next to us was table tennis and a sand pit.
There are shelter at the edges of the field spots where you can cook or eat In the rain.
The toilets(porter loos), showers and washing up area (lots of bins for recycling and waste, no cardboard recycling but I guess you would pop that on the fire like us) were superb. Well cleaned and looked after (guests can also be thanked for that).
Lots of nice walks In the forest or take a walk along the way in to LOOK at horses ( these are separate from the campsite but the owners we met were lovely). Water is easily accessible on the fields didn't notice for a he woodland pitches while wandering.
The owner bob was incredibly friendly nice guy, he brought a big cylinder from where he had repaired the bridge for the kids (and adults) to roll around the field, because he thought they would enjoy it which they did!
There is a communal area by reception (wasn't in use due to covid but looked nice to sit around).
The group of younger adults were put away from the family groups, didn't hear a peep from them.
Had a fantastic weekend In the gloomy weather !
The location is just off a main road and a 5 min drive down a bumpy farm track (my very bouncy car required some finess, but normal cars would be fine with it).
Didn't need customer service but I'm sure it would have been great if it had arisen.
Very child friendly, in the woods may be different as it's all open with no fences except at boundaries or for horse fields etc.
Very much worth the cost they charge!
We will be back!

Good site with a mix of pitches in two paddocks or more isolated pitches in clearings in the woods.
Good friendly staff.
Facilities were clean and the hot water worked, and there was clear guidance on social distancing.

Wow what a hidden gem. This is an unbelievable place. We visited with 4 adults and two kids (3yr old and 1 yr old).
We stayed in the woodlands which to begin with we were not sure about with kids. But so glad we did stay in the woodlands.
Our 3yr old loved it as do did the rest of us.
It’s truly a magical place around a camp fire.
Enough toilets and showers too, very clean, very impressed.
Bob is a great host and checked on us on regular basis to see if we needed logs or ice.
We will 100% return here.
