Wonderful little site with very clean facilities. Covid regulations being observed with sanitizer in abundance and we felt very safe.
Exceptional TV reception (got over 100 channels!) but no wifi.
Bedale is a lovely little town with a good selection of pubs and places to eat and within walking distance - although we did find a bench to sit on half way!
Definitely hope to return.

Nice site on the outskirts of Bedale, which is a nice town, well worth a visit.
The site has easy access from the A1 but makes a great base for travelling into the Dales. Leyburn is a short drive. A little further and you have great hillwalking areas such as Buckden and Hawes.
Good site. Will certainly return.

Lovely site. Owners very helpful to novice caravanners. They were around most of the time, and extremely friendly. Facilities were very good - and always clean.
Easy stroll into Bedale for a pint in the Green Dragon. Most places seem to be dog friendly. Fantastic field next door - also owned by the site - for walking the dog.
We'll stay longer next time!

What a fantastic site. We were made to feel very welcome by the Ross {the owner} and we found our pitch marked with a little flag/marker bearing our names to be a nice touch.
The owner wanders around the site most days, and we found him to be a pleasant entertaining character.
The toilets & {free} showers are spotlessly clean, the grass is well trimmed and access is easy, the site is also well signposted from Bedale centre.
There is a lovely meadow attached to the site, great for that early morning/late evening walk with your dog.
It is a pleasant 15 minute walk into Bedale itself. A small market town with a few shops, and the small market {on tuesday} had stalls which sold goods slightly above the average market "tat" which is sold at a lot of markets.
Whilst there we visited Masham {market day wednesday} and whilst there we visited a local brewery Visitor Centre {The Black Sheep brewery. Theakstons also have a have a visitor centre, both are worth a visit}. Sadly, the Black Sheep brewery was not doing "Brewery Tours" due to the "Covid19" issue.
We also visited Leyburn & Ripon {which are both pleasant enough towns}. But to be fair we were most of all impressed with Richmond, and we are really looking forward to visiting Richmond again when all this "Covid19" nonsense is over.
Cost?. £100, for four nights, two adults+one dog, touring caravan + awning with EHU.
I cant really give a "child friendliness" rating, as we left our grandchildren at home for this trip, but I can comment on how well behaved the children who were there were. Along with how friendly all the rest of the campers who were there for that four days were, perhaps it s being in such nice surroundings which makes everyone that little bit more happy & "outgoing"{?}
Would we visit again?
Yes. Most certainly.

Great campsite, well thought out and spotlessly clean.
Felt very safe and doing all the right things to be COVID friendly.
Staff were great and will do anything they can to help.
Will return and recommend to others.

A great little site.
Ross and his team have put a lot of work into this site, a lot of great little touches that make a good site a great site.
And the location being on the edge of bedale means it only a short walk into town or an easy drive up into the dales
