Been to this site a few times over the last four years.
Nice quiet site. Always seems friendly. The owners are very welcoming.
Electric is extra but does not seem expensive. The owner is happy for you to minimum on and top you up if you need to.
A grass site but never boggy.
Two toilets and one shower. Cleaned daily.
Would definitely recommend

Lovely little campsite, nice and
Quite for a chilled get away and dog friendly which is a must for us.
Perfect for travelling out to the seaside and a fab pub serving food all day within 5 minutes drive.
Very friendly owners.
Have been before and will definitely visit again !

Lovely site with great views towards coast. Huge pitches many with electric hook up.
2 toilets and electric shower which are cleaned thoroughly by the owners. Electric shower pressure a bit temperamental if someone fills water tank at the tap the shower becomes a trickle.
Owners both lovely and dogs are allowed on site but on a lead at all times and any no 2s picked up and disposed of. Horses in the field next to both sides of the site.
Ideally situated for beaches with cayton bay, Hunmanby, Scarborough and Filey all very close by.
Nothing for young children to do on site and no ball games allowed but owners advise that when booking. If they are happy doing handstands and hide and seek then there are lots of bits for kids to hide.
Cons
To one side if the site is a waste disposal site, skip hire, aggregate supplier. These guys start work at 7am or there abouts during the week and the noise is horrendous.
If you are an early riser that goes out all day then this site is a little gem. If you like to stay around the van and read a paper or chill this may not be the site for you.
The other side has an electrition which did also make a bit of drilling noises.
The owners could not be nicer and its such a shame that their retirement project has been traumatised by one business like this. We will be back but for a weekend visit when all is peaceful.

A lovely little site with good, clean facilities, reasonably priced. First time using electric meter and was worried we may run out of electric!
The owners are pleasant and friendly.
Great base for lots of places to visit on the east coast and has lovely views over the Wolds and out to Scarborough.
Just a twenty minute walk to a busy pub, the Fox Hound, serving good food with fisheries for take out sales.
The only negative I can comment on, is about the site next door, which is very noisy with machinery and vehicles moving around during the daytime, which didn't really affect us as we were out all day but others did comment to us that they were unhappy about the noise.
Pity we did not see the painting exhibition, which George the owner, was getting ready to exhibit his beautiful art work.
Would recommend but do be aware of the noise during the daytime. Thank you Pauline and George Kitching

Small, will kept site, very friendly owners, clean, modern toilets (2) and separate shower, free to use. Very convenient location for Scarborough and Filey.
I paid £16 per night, however electric was extra and was on a card meter. Having never used this system before I was unsure how much electric I would need to pay for and this needs to be topped up by the owners (my son, who stayed a couple of nights ran out in the night, meaning the heating went off, which was not ideal with a small baby, as the caravan was cold).
My husband came for 1 night and we were charged £3 to park his car next to our caravan, as we were the only non-seasonal caravans on site, this seemed a bit much!

We stayed here Easter Sunday and Monday the site is quiet with lovely clean shower blocks the owners were really lovely and friendly.
They greeted us on arrival and even waved us off the site is really good value and in a good location for those wanting to visit filey and scarbrough
We will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend for couples
I didn't rate for child friendly as there is nothing on site for children but having said that I could see no hazards and there is plenty of room so a swing ball or baby paddling pool could be used 😀

This site is one of the best we have stayed at! It only has 10 pitches all with ehu, there is a small toilet block consisting of 2 WC’s and 1 shower. These are clean and warm. The owners Pauline and George are so welcoming you immediately feel at home.
The Jays is situated approximately 20 minutes drive from the seaside town of Scarborough or 15 minutes from Filey.
This is a quiet peaceful site more of adults only as there is nothing on site for kids.

We have just returned from a great 9 night stay at the jays caravan park what can I say
It was brilliant
Lovely clean and well maintained site with beautiful views.
We got an amazing welcome from the owners who could not do enough for us.
I have read other reviews but some people are so off.
We loved it so much we booked for next year for 2 weeks.

Camping and Caravan site Flixton.
A lovely site owner very friendly and helpful. The site is neat, tidy and clean.
Pitches are well spaced out so you don't feel like you are on looked.
Lovely quiet area with beautiful views. Nice local pub in walking distance and beach short drive away.
Showers and toilets kept clean a well kept site. Will definitely be visiting again :)
