Just back from a 2 night stay on this very lovely, peaceful and welcoming site. James the owner is really friendly and showed us to our pitch. The site itself is very well manicured, one of the best we have been on. The shower/toilet block is second to none; they were clean, warm and smelled lovely for the whole of our stay. Harewood House is a short drive away and well worth a visit. We had a great walk around the Harewood Estate. We also visited The Bingley Arms just a 5 minute drive, we didn’t eat there but it all looked great. Shop’s are also about a 5 minute drive.
So no complaints with this site. Thankfully this is a local campsite for us so we will be back I’m sure again and again.

James managed to get us in at short notice as it is 'Valentine's Day' weekend and we found everywhere booked up (or not open until March). We arrived Friday afternoon, stayed 3 nights, leaving Monday morning. Having had a great stay over the road at Glenfield Caravan Park (run by James's sister), we didn't expect any issues. We were greeted on arrival by James & he showed us to a grass pitch, only yards from the water pipe & the shower block. We were surrounded mostly by (unoccupied - probably due to the time of year) statics. The shower block has wonderful hot showers (which are, thankfully free - no shoving in coins and counting the minutes!), toilets and washbasins. All of the facilities are immaculate - some of the cleanest I've come across! A big plus is that it seemed to be heated. Especially as it was snowing outside at the time!
The site is very peaceful and there are shops (Tesco Express) and takeaways a couple of miles away. The Bingley Arms (down the road, about 2min drive) does excellent meals.
In summary, an excellent site, well priced (£20/night, incl EHU), clean, friendly and easy to access. We'll definitely be returning.

Excellent facilities - toilets, showers, washroom - complete with pictures on the wall and colour co-ordinated accessories! Utility room with laundry, library and washing up facilities and a first for us - a white board to indicate what time the machines will be finished so that the next user is aware. Well done. Separate room for waste disposal. Camping areas surrounded by smart statics, but very quiet mid week in September - not surprisingly. Useful for us to visit family.

Just back from 5 days at Moor Lodge. Arrived in drizzle and was met by young James who jumped into my car and slotted it on to a hard standing, bang on, perfect, first time. I think he has done this before. As stated elsewhere, the showers/toilets are excellent - looked after by Richard who lives in a static on the site. Moor Lodge is mostly statics around the edge with tourers being sited in the grass centre - unless you book a fully-serviced hard standing. The Bingley Arms is a short drive away and is well worth a visit. It started as a pub in 943AD. Or thereabouts and the menu is something else. Only rarely do I visit a pub/restaurant where at lest ten items take my fancy. Not too expensive either. The church in Bardsey is worth a visit if you like old buildings and you can buy 'The History of Bardsey' at the pub. Meanwhile, back at the site, the showers are proper and do not have push buttons. Toiletries by, I think, Dalton, are provided and Richard looks after them with pride. Top marks. It is a smallish park, kept in very good nick. Quiet. No shop or clubhouse (thank God. ) This was our first visit but won't be our last. Make sure you specify hard standing/fully serviced if that is your wish. Otherwise, you are carting aquarolls and wastemasters over the grass. I note Moor Lodge gets 9 out of ten and I think this is justified. I would certainly rate it a ten and we are fussy caravanners. The Chinese in Wetherby gave us a good meal at very reasonable cost (two meals plus bottle of wine £27). Yes, a very nice break - nice site with good eateries close by and friendly neighbours in the statics and extremely well-run by James and his Dad. Ten out of ten.

This was our 1st outing in our caravan and we chose this site for 2 days and we can say what a lovely site, perfect in all ways, the toilets are amazing so no wonder they won an award for best toilets 2015.
We are booking again for may 2015 and I would highly recommend this site if you want peace, quite and no children allowed, heaven however dogs are very welcome

Stayed for one night whilst visiting friends. What a lovely site, really clean and very well kept. Mainly statics so plenty of space in middle for us, doesn't look like they pack you in. Toilet block and showers spotless and very well decorated. Peaceful with lovely dog walks from site. Visited bingley arms in village, about a mile down fairly steep hill but has path most of way. Great pub, delicious food and lets dogs in tap room. Will definitely come back and stay here to do some more extensive exploring.

Lovely site south of Wetherby and north of Leeds. We used it as a stopover between Newcastle and Gloucestershire via Ashbourne. There are lots of statics around the edges but plenty of unmarked space in the middle of the site for our campervan near an Electric hookup and wooden picnic table. It had a very memorable small toilet block, with spa like accessories, accessed by a door code. Separate male and female. The showers are free but could have done with more hooks and shelves It was 20 minute walk to the Bingley Arms where a meal for two cost £40. It is apparently the oldest Inn in England. Take a torch.

We booked Moor Lodge at short notice for a 1 night stay for the Leeds festival. We were keen to stay somewhere nearby but away from the hustle and bustle. This was just the place.
Primarily a static caravan park but there were plenty of touring pitches and a number of camper vans and motor homes on site during the weekend.
We were greeted at reception by a helpful chap who gave us the necessary info regarding the site and who then personally showed us to our pitch, close to the shower block which was excellent. Clean and very modern with excellent showers!
Our pitch was great and the touring are has a number of picnic tables dotted around, savings us having to unpack our own table and chairs!
Set away from the main roads this is a lovely location, ideal for walking and cycling. There was a lovely looking country pub within walking distance and we were told a small local shop was also nearby, although it is only a short drive into Collingham and Wetherby for a wider choice of pubs and shops.
We would be pleased to return should we be in the area in future.

Arrived at this site, extremely friendly owner, who personally guided us to a very spacious pitch which was on a superbly kept ground. We were pitched near the most stunning toilet block I've ever seen, they were reminiscent of a hotel toilet, Baylis and Harding soap with rolled towels and floral arrangements by the sinks, also pictures on the walls and ornaments on the window sill. The shower cubicles were well thought out and had glass shower doors which stopped your clothing getting damp as in many shower cubicles. There was flowers planted round the building and everything was spotlessly clean. We only stayed the one night but would gladly have stayed longer. There was a massive enclosed field which runs the length of the park where dogs can be exercised freely. Very quiet site, with everything you could wish for.
The only draw back if any was that it was not the cheapest of sites, but then you get what you pay for, and it was well worth the money.
Some pitches were on slightly sloping ground, but with a caravan we were shown to a level pitch with electric hook up.
Not quite 'glamping' but as close as you will get. Will definitely recommend this and will certainly return to this site in the future

What a fantastic site in a peaceful location, situated just off the A58 Wetherby to Leeds road the site is easily accessible. Upon arrival we were greeted and guided to where our pitch was. The outskirts of the park is lines with residential type static caravans, the centre are been reserved for tourers and camper vans (a separate area for tents)
The field is fairly level and the grass is cut short and well maintained, in the centre of the pitches is a toilet/shower block, male one side, female the other. Doors are key coded. Interior is second to none, cubicles are spotless and very modern, electric power showers with good water pressure. Towels and toiletries are supplied if required.
There is also a utility room for washing pots and pans, also a coin operated washing machine and a coin operated dryer (detergents not supplied)
A local Tesco Extra is located at Collingham which is a 5 minute drive along the A58, we went into Leeds to shop for food, (come out of the site turn right and along to the A58, Turn Right and follow the road down to Leeds Ring Road turn Right and along to Moortown Rounbdabout, turn Left onto A61 Harrogate Leeds Road and follow down to shops.
Should you require any camping accessories, make the same journey however at the Ring Road turn left. Follow along to the roundabout ant take first exit A64 to York approx. 1 mile on right hand side is Leeds Caravans.
A nice pub is located a half mile away from the site The Bingley Arms known as one of the oldest UK Pubs.
Prices at the time of our visit were £21 per night, for Caravan Electric Hook up and awning
If you like to sit and relax then you wont find a better site, watch the rabbits, be amused at the squirrels (tend to stay next to statics that have bird feeders) and watch the Red Kites soaring above.
One thing the site listed was Adult Only (however there were children around but no facilities for them)
