A disappointing stay after reading the positive comments. Toilet and shower block did not appear to have been cleaned or bins emptied during our stay. Loads of cobwebs on the ornamental boxes in windows.
There was nowhere to put toiletries whilst in shower except the floor! and there was no stool in the very confined changing area.
This site is primarily for the static vans using their own facilities as the touring vans are on the central plot.
We felt that this site was not value for money.

Lovely site nice and close to Leeds which was great for our visit to relatives. The site is primarily for static caravans which are positioned around the edge of the site with the tourers in the middle surrounding the very nice toilet and shower block. The staff were very friendly and told us all we needed to know. They took the trouble to lead us to our pitch which was nice and level. We were charged £20 per night for 2 persons with electric which we felt was fair considering time of year and quality of site.
This is a nice one you wont be disappointed!

This was our tenth stay at Moor Lodge, the first being in 2008. It feels like our second home! As others have said it's peaceful, immaculately kept, and the shower block is lovely.
There are no marked pitches as such but Rod or his son will lead you to a suitable place (no need for reversing or manouevring). There are wooden picnic tables near most 'pitches', and you're never far from the shower block - very useful in bad weather!
We've used the site as a base for visiting friends and relatives in Leeds and York, as a stop-off on the way to Scotland, and even as somewhere to stay after selling our house in York. We've met people there who were visiting family in hospital, going to a wedding, or a Cliff Richard concert, as well as just relaxing in pleasant surroundings. There's always a friendly welcome. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit here but it wont be our last, we were only sorry we had only booked for 1 day.
We received the warmest of welcomes, the camp itself was spotless and was the toilet block, even down to the flowers, hand wash and tissues.
Static holiday homes share the site.
Lovely and quiet, yes it is an adult only site.
Nice walk of about a mile and a half into the village but not much there, pub and church.
If you have time have a look down Ling Lane which is near the site. This is Millionaires Row with a lot of £5m+ houses.
We will be back in the summer at some stage.
Thanks for a great stay

A Lovely peaceful site, in a rural location within easy driving reach of North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
Immaculate toilet block, Loo of the Year award well deserved!Very friendly owner. Highly Recommended for a quiet peaceful retreat!
Not much around the site, nearest pub a good 10 minute walk but uphill on way back!
The touring pitches are in the middle of the site surrounded by the statics, hardly anyone was in the statics when we visited on a bank holiday weekend, which was great!

We spent two nights at this small site and found it to be welcoming, peaceful and well-kept. We arrived after dark and were shown to a level grass pitch at the top of the site. The weather stayed fine during our visit but we wondered what the pitches would have been like had it rained. Hard standings might be welcome but all too often they can make a site resemble a car park, and it would be a shame to spoil the rural aspect of this pretty site.
Yes, the crows were noisy (but spectacular as they flocked above the site). This wasn’t a problem though as they didn’t stir until dawn, which was about 7am. The golfers must have had a lie-in too – they showed up around 9 o’clock.
The toilet and shower block was immaculate and pleasantly warm, which is a real bonus in Mid-November. The utility room was clean and well-equipped, with lots of hot water. We don’t always use site facilities but as it was only a short distance to the block we made the most of the excellent ones on offer.
Hanging baskets, pots and borders planted with winter pansies added to the overall impression that this site is well-tended and cared for all year round. We hope to return in summer to see how the experience compares.
We didn’t explore the immediate vicinity but we can recommend the Duke of Wellington at East Keswick for a friendly welcome and a decent pint.

Nice site, with a very good toilet block and on the whole very well maintained. Advertised as 'Couples' but should perhaps say 'Older couples'.
The nearest pub/shop is just over 2 miles up a hill on roads with lots of traffic and without any footpath's so a vehicle of some form is essential. Electric hookup was provided.
The adjacent golf course starts mowing it's lawns at around 6:40 a.M. On Sunday but other than that it is a nice place for a quiet camping holiday. Not suitable for groups (even adult only groups)

Neat, clean, well-kept site. Toilet block and washing up room absolutely immaculate and well-presented. Very very quiet site (adults only). No views to speak of. Hookups available. 'Outer ring' is statics, tourers and motorhomes in middle.
Dogs allowed, but nowhere very close to let dogs have a run that I could find. If you turn right out of the site and walk about 15 mins along the road, there is a public footpath that goes alongside the golf course and into a field, so I used that.
No shop, pub or other facilities within walking distance, but if you're not bothered about such things, a great little site.

Just spent two nights here - very convenient for Leeds city centre. Owner was very helpful and flexible with our arrival time. We didn't arrive til 10pm, but he arranged a parking spot with hookup for that night. Facilities were very clean. Very quiet, relaxing stay. The most noise came from the crows in the nearby trees each morning and evening. Well recommended!

As we are new to caravanning would like to say that my wife and I thought this site was very clean and well kept. The site is a bit far for shops and local pubs, own transport required.
Can't fault the toilet and shower block as it was spotless and hand towels and soap always available which was nice.
On arriving at the site can't complain as the owner was very helpful helping to site caravan into position. We were at the site during the May bank holiday and stayed for 5days as we were visiting my son who stays in Thorner so the site was ideal as it was only a 10min drive to visit him.
If you are into golf then this site is ideal as there are about 7 golf courses within about 5miles of the camp site, two next door.
