Used to spend my childhood (30 years ago!) in our family static van here. Bit different in a tent! Owners still so friendly.
Toilet, shower, bathroom a bit of a walk as they are in the static van area but not really a problem. Didn't see anywhere to wash dishes however believe you can between where loos are located. Tip about bathroom. Fill bath with some cold water before putting card in for the 5min of hot water as it keeps ticking down even if you turn tap of.
Only problem with public facilities is as others have said, no where to hang your clothes / wash bags, but you can make it work, after all its camping! Very clean and tidy all round.
Walk into Borth is not that bad with a pushchair (2 year old), just go prepared to get little one to jump out when going over the kissing gate and up / down the path way.
We'll go again for a weekend break!

We stayed three nights in tent with hook up at a very reasonable £16 per night. The site was immaculate and tranquil and the owners very friendly (paper delivery to your pitch in morning is great). Grounds are beautiful and cared for with several access points to nearby river, (I swear I saw an otter at dusk). I also liked the entry system to the site, allows only those staying there to enter/exit via a card operated barrier.
The walk into Borth and back via a country path was a bit of a hike with a three year old and I would not consider it with a pushchair, but you do get to walk past the animalarium and see the goats and emu's and wallaby's through the fence! I would however advise driving into Borth (5 mins max in car) if have smaller children and parking on sea front car park.
The onsite children's play area is new with bark chip floor and very good, but better for older kids, however this was not a problem for my 3yr old supervised. Plenty of spaces also for playing, and a football area.
Onsite, toilets, showers, bath and laundrette block is newly built and immaculate. We were about a 2 minutes walk from these, though you could be pitched further away - not a problem if you improvise! disposal point nearby. Can recommend the large bath if you have children (myself, my partner and 3 year old all got in at the same time - plenty of room and plenty of hot water for 1 x £1 token). The showers are like cubicled wet rooms and very invigorating.
Glanlerry is the perfect retreat and base to explore the area. Borth beach itself is ideal for children, visit also Ynyslas beach (1 mile. The views from points around the area is breathteaking - also if you want shops take the 4-5 mile trip to Aberystwyth.
We will most definitely return to Glanlerry in the future, hopefully very soon.

This is a lovely site. Owners are very friendly.
Toilets are a problem being so far away from the camping field.
Showers and toilets are clean and well kept. £1 per shower is a little bit expensive when there are a few of you.
Still nowhere to wash the pots. An easy walk to Borth (almost quicker to walk there than to the toilets!)
Still seems a reasonably priced holiday at £15 per night including electricity.

This site has flat pitches and is well maintained. It has a playground for children. The camping field is a fair distance from the toilet block. The toilets were always clean as were the showers. The showers cost £1 and have no hooks or bench for your towel or clothing. The shower was hot and lasted several minutes! There did not appear to be any dish washing facility. There is a footpath from the site into Borth - where there are several pubs.

This is a clean well kept site just a few minutes from Borth. The site is comprised of three areas. The first (nearest the entrance) is for static caravans, the second is for large caravans and tents and the third is the camping field. The only toilet/shower facilities are in the area for static caravans and this is a five minute walk from the camping field. The facilities are clean but there is an extra charge of £1 per shower (6 minutes duration) and we felt this was excessive. To use the shower you need to obtain a card from the owner who tours the site each morning to collect fees and sell newspapers. Within the shower stalls there are no hooks or shelves so clothes and towels have to be draped over the door to keep them dry. There are no shelves above sinks so wash-bags etc have to be left on the floor when cleaning teeth etc. There were no facilities for dish-washing .

Have just spent two nights here on our first camping trip with a new family sized tent, a two year old and a five year old. Excellent site and we had no major problems although we are not seasoned campers ( apart form festivals) so we are relatively easily pleased. Very clean, friendly site. Camping field is a long way from the newly built toilet and shower block but we knew this in advance so were not too bothered by this. There is nowhere to do any washing up as the laundry has not yet been finished but I expect that given time this will be done to the same excellent standards as the rest of the facilities. We had to wash up in the sinks in the toilet which might have been more of a problem if we had been staying for a week. The play area was popular with both our children. Easy walk down to Borth although the gate at the end of the camping field to get onto the path has a 'kissing gate' so pushchairs have to be lifted over. Excellent beach at Borth with rock pools, sand and rocks which meant there was something for everyone. Would certainly use this site again.

This is a well landscaped campsite - even the static caravans look good (almost) - in an attractive setting. We would agree with everything said by previous reviewers about the owners (helpful), paper delivery (great), walk into Borth along the river (nice). The good news is that the toilet block is being upgraded - really smart. The bad news is that it is a real trek from the camping field (we noticed that caravaners used bikes to cycle to the block) and it doesn't look as if one is being built for campers (may be worth checking with the owners). We didn't think it was too clever having the elsan disposal in an open position (no cover) by the side of the main site access road - children were cleaning their bikes with the hoses whilst we were there - seems a health hazard to us.

Had our first weekend here in June 2006, only 2 & a bit hours, very scenic drive from home in Worcester - loved it that much came back the next weekend, have been back since for weekends & our main holiday. Very clean, well lit site, statics separate from touring field. Lots of tourers, but more than ample pitches & even at the height of the season still seemed peaceful & tranquil. Love the walk to Borth along the river. Brilliant for our dogs, they love the river & the sea being close by. 3 nice pubs within walking distance - nearest about 10 mins away. Check out breakfast at Limit cafe - do good veggie ones. Only one drawback, not a problem for us as in a motorhome, but would not like to be without a portaloo if in far end of camping field, quite a trek to toilets. Back to positives - love the paper delivery direct to our motorhome every morning. Owner very friendly & helpful-Excellent value for pitch prices, even taking in to account 50p cost for showers. Will be back next year, cannot wait.

We have just got back from a week at Glanlerry, even though the weather was very changeable, we had some nice days on the beach which was a nice short river walk direct from our camper. Due to the weather the camping fields main entrance was very muddy but the owner was happy to move us if we wanted but our pitch was dry so we stayed put. The toilet block was a 5 min walk and yes we drove down occasionally especially during the rain. The showers were ok but there is nowhere to put your clothes or any thing else you did not want to get wet. Also the shower cards only last 5 min and you can only use one at a time so if you want more hot water you have to jump out the shower and insert another card. the owners are really friendly and the bins were emptied every day (sometimes a bit too early) toilets and showers were kept very clean. We would visit this site again but maybe pick a number pitch closer to the toilets and hopefully in better weather.

A great family site, on fairly level ground, loads of room for the kids to play ball games and the play area is 2-3 minutes walk from the camping field. The owner brings you the morning and evening papers on his golf buggy, if you want them. Toilet and shower block is in the middle of the static caravans about 5-10 minute walk away, so we were glad we took the portaloo for the kids in the night. Also showers run on tokens 50p for a 5 minute shower. We had a lovely time and would definitely go again.
