Noisiest site I've ever been on! Although you can't hold the site responsible for other peoples children running riot and generally being a nuisance, you can for the fact that they let people in very late on!
The site is mainly a static caravan park with an area for tourers and is a bit regimented although the hard-standing pitches are quite good being fully serviced.
Facilities are clean and are adequate but are very busy if the site is anywhere near capacity.

A 'Premier Inn' of a caravan site!
Well located, very well equipped, well maintained; BUT just rather claustrophobic and institutional.
Adjacent to village with shops, pubs and takeaways, just off A9.
Also full of seasonal lets and perms.
Ok if you like that sort of thing, not our idea of a countryside holiday.

Just spent a night in the super pod, WOW! takes glamping to a new level. Luxury at a reasonable price. All the luxury of a hotel but with the self catering facilities of a full size holiday Home, will be back but for a few days next time, only problem when everyone gets to know will never be a free night.

Stayed at the above site from 6th - 10th May and used the bunkhouse facilities for a change - IS THIS THE BEST BUNKHOUSE IN SCOTLAND - IT CERTAINLY IS ! The facilities were superb with beautiful kitchen and lounge area fully equipped including colour tv and leather sofa. The bedrooms were also equipped with 2xdouble bunks complete with duvets, pillows and an electric fire. It is situated in Evanton just a few miles from Inverness and the village has a Co-op which is well supplied and a number of eating places to choose from.
There is plenty to see and do in the area including the famous gorge with many walks to keep you fit.
Please give this superb bunkhouse a try - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

One night here, heading north. First impression is off-putting as the lower area by the entrance is packed with new statics for sale, like a train marshalling yard. There was a discount for CCC members, so it cost £17 for a hard standing pitch with a drain (but no tap), plus the £1 EHU card which had a bit left on it next morning. (Not sure what you do if your card runs out and the office is shut?) Friendly helpful manager, walked with us to a choice of pitches. A very neat & tidy site, closely mown, with lots of flower tubs. Motorhome service bay conveniently sited with a long water hose. Dog run in the woods was ideal, and there's also a picnic area by the burn. Showers free, and on or off (not pulsed), but my one quibble is that the doors appear to be home made, so they're not the standard size - I hit my head (twice. ) on the door frame as I didn't think to duck!
It's well worth walking the half hour to the Black Rock gorge, an unexpectedly dramatic narrow canyon with 2 bridges over it. As others have said, Alness (Morrisons), Tain & Dingwall (both Tesco) are the places for the shopping. Happy to recommend the site for a longer stay.

Excellent campsite. We really enjoyed our stay at this friendly site. The facilities were excellent-good hot showers which were free, very clean and tidy toilets and an excellent pot wash and laundry area. The laundry area is very handy in bad weather as it housed a small seated area with lots of books. The site had picnic tables for general use and there was a children's play area. The tent site was quite small but not overcrowded when we visited and the facilities were more than adequate for the number of users. There is a lovely walk through the woods over the gorge and the nearby beach is a haven for seals. Excellent value for money-we paid £14 a night for tent and 3 people. One small niggle is that the tent site was not well drained although this was after a very heavy and sudden downfall. The site is well maintained and cared for and we would definitely return.

Stayed here for nine nights to attend our daughter's wedding in nearby Alness. We were given a pitch adjacent to the facilities block - opposite the laundry block. Difficult to get into - the motor mover came into its own. But we got the tale end of a hurricane and were thankful for the shelter!
Last stayed here in April 2004 - we saw the difference! All touring pitches are now hard standing with hook-ups; the facilities block has been re-vamped. All pitches have there own water tap on the hook-up post.
Electricity is paid for by pre-paid card. You 'inherit' what's left from the previous pitch occupant, buy what you think you may need, and leave any unused credit for the next person. Over the nine nights - including some heating - I reckon we used about £4. 50 off a £5 card and left a balance of £2. 34.
Many of the pitches appear to be long term bookings for contract workers, although there are adequate pitches for touring. The original 'super-pitches' are now all reserved for seasonal siting.
There is a Co-op in Evanton that can provide the basics, but with a Morrisons in Alness most things are only a five minute drive away. There is an hourly bus from Dingwall to Tain through the village.
The site staff are very helpful. Our car broke down whilst there, and they were really accommodating, letting us stay on our pitch for three extra nights, despite it being booked out to another unit for the last two nights. They told us not to worry about how long we might need to stay and would tow us off to store if things became protracted. They also waived the cost for our son who came to 'rescue' us and stayed on site.
It cost us £17. 50 a night for our stay - plus around 50p for electricity. We will certainly come back.

We stayed here one night, arriving very late after a long drive through Sutherland and around the top of Scotland from Ullapool! We phoned ahead and the owner was extremely helpful, letting us camp without booking in and so late in the circumstances.
When we arrived we found a beautiful very high quality campsite. Really modern and fresh, clean and well manicured lawns. Facilities were excellent, showers and all aspects. Showers had good private 'dressing' areas next to the shower cubicle.
Also really pretty site, next to a river, lots of trees, very green and rabbits running around in the dusk.
Next morning the lady in charge couldn't have been friendlier, very helpful in advice of where to go, chatty and pleasant.
They also have a really good quality bunkhouse if you need it.
Price was very good for all this!

Only stayed here for one night, but when I rang the office in the morning the lady I spoke to was very helpful. Found site to be lovely and clean. Showers were good although found water didn't flow away sufficiently so I was standing in water all the time I was showering. However, as I said, everything was extremely clean and well presented.
Easy to find, just off A9 and local shops nearby. Otherwise, can really comment on anything else as we were only there for the one night although we would definitely return and recommend.

Love this site, stayed here in August and would definitely come back again. Beautiful site with extremely friendly and helpful owners.
Superb toilet facilities and they even have a bath if you want one. Site is well maintained with a couple of kids play areas. Lovely walks down by the river or through the Forest.
This is a Scottish Tourist Board 5 star site and when you visit you can see why. Lovely and peaceful and good supermarket and pub just a short walk away in the Village of Evanton. Very easy to find off the A9 North
