This is a lovely place so close to the river and all the town has to offer(hmm!), it's very friendly staff and cleanliness is refreshing. There are NO child facilities and children are not encouraged because of it and the proximity of the river but for us with two young boys (6+3) who can enjoy life without playgrounds etc and just play together and as a family, this place is perfect- there is also a great park in the town which is 5 mins walk.
So many take-always it's tempting not to cook but even though we will because we enjoy it, BBQing in the rain etc, even we succumbed to Riley's Indian take-away and it was great quality.
A fantastic long weekend and thanks to Brian(the site manager)and his staff.
For a perfect 10, a drive over grey waste dump is all that is needed for motorhomes but hey who needs perfection. Then there's no room for improvement.

Just returned from a one night stay at Weir Meadow. Lovely site, gorgeous pitches alongside the river. The toilet block was immaculate, very clean. Shower could have been a bit more powerful but nice and hot. Staff friendly. Only a few minutes walk to all the shops and lots of places to eat. Had a lovely afternoon stroll by the river, campsite is ideally situated. The only downside is no motorhome waste disposal but not really a problem as we were only there for the night and couldn't see any recycling facilities. Will definitely return.

We stayed at Weir Meadow Park in April 2014 for one night only, as we were travelling up north and needed to break our journey. The location is very picturesque being right on the river with plenty of wildlife to see. Shower/toilet facilities were adequate with plenty of hot water.
We walked into the town centre, which is only a few minutes away. As we only stayed one night cannot really comment on other facilities.

We spent a weekend here and booked at the last minute and was surprised to get in as there are not that many pitches. Ours was over looking the river Avon which was nice but the pitches are small, I could see what my neighbours were watching on TV quite clearly! The site is spotless and well presented. Customer service was also friendly and spot on. You can walk into town which is good for us with motorhomes. In the vicinity are plenty of takeaways and Eastern European supermarkets which is different.
Would I visit again? Probably yes.

We were very pleased with this site. The pitches were spotless and the grounds were very well managed. Many of the touring pitches had river side pitches and these are recommended. Whilst we had a lot of room on the river side pitches, I noticed that the pitches at the back really were very much hemmed in. In our case though, we were lucky and had a great pitch. It is very much a static mobile home park but tourers are not treated simply as an after thought which is good.
The wardens were all pleasant and helpful. The site was on the whole very friendly with everybody offering greetings of 'hello' etc. The site is in the town centre and the approach is through a rather depressed commercial and residential area. Do not let this put you off visiting this lovely and peaceful site for a short break. We noticed that the road traffic humps on the site roads were very high and I have damaged a mud guard whilst towing the caravan. The Chemical disposal point was outdoor. It lacked a flush and was a little unsophisticated. Other than that, we will probably be back at some point given that the site is close to home.

We spent 8 days at this site on a riverside pitch. We didn't feel that the pitches were very big at all, maybe the other reviews were made when the site wasn't full, because once we had put up our porch awning we were only about 8' from the next caravan, so don't really understand the comments about large pitches.
Staff were very friendly and chatty, (apart from when we arrived, we felt the woman in reception was a bit offhand), when I asked if we were only to be given one key for the shower/toilet block.
It was hardly ever locked so wasn't a problem but you always had to take the key just in case.
The toilet block was spotless and the showers large and good to use. A hook on the back of the toilet doors would have been useful for when you want to use the loo on the way out/back and have a handbag with you.
The Via Cracow restaurant in Port Street is well worth a visit, the food was the best we've had in a long time. We also had breakfast at the Gravy Boat in Port Street one morning which was excellent value for money and worth a visit also.
The site was lovely and peaceful, apart from being woken by geese each morning around 5:30am.

We have just returned from a a weeks stay on this site. We had a riverside pitch which was very large with a wonderful view of the river.
This campsite is extremely well maintained and the shower block is spotlessly clean. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect being in the town centre yet managing to be quiet and peaceful.
Because of heavy rain the ground was very wet and we caused more damage to the grass because we were not allowed to use our breathable ground sheet.
I would not recommend this site for young children as there isn't a play area and bikes or skateboards are not allowed.
However for adults and older children it would be hard to find a better site definitely 5 star.

Visited this site for one night and have to say this is one of the best sites we have stayed on. On arrival we were taken to our pitch and shown were all the facilities were. Plenty of room between vans even if you have a large awning.
Toilet block and washing up point perfect. Plenty of hot water and spotless. Very quiet site just the noise of the river and wildlife.
We will most certainly be back in the not too distance future and this time hope to take a trip on the river and sample one of the local pubs

This site is just as described in earlier reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful. The 'regulars' presumably owners of static vans were also very friendly. Our pitch was only meters from the river and almost flat. Plenty of wild life, ducks, swans, robins, blackbirds, wrens, thrush, herons and geese.
The showers & toilets were excellent, although the normally locked door (key supplied) took a little getting used to.
In April the Blossom Trial is available. Unfortunately we found there were gaps in the sign posting and not many places to stop and enjoy the views.
One place you can stop is Fladbury, there is a small Pie and Sausage shop, thoroughly recommended, delicious.
Near the campsite, just a few meters towards the town centre on the main road there is a small Italian Restaurant, excellent service and food.

This is a lovely site close to the river and the town, which are the two main reasons a visitor would choose Evesham. The helpful and welcoming manager and staff aided our first impressions of this excellent site. We had booked a riverside pitch and were duly escorted there and shown exactly where to pitch, so the spacing followed the fire regulations. There was also a marked out area to park a single car.
The view of the river was fabulous and relaxing. However, with a three year old in tow we knew we had to be constantly vigilant. There is a kiddies play area in a public park 10 minutes walk away.
We were hoping for some kind weather to sit outside and enjoy the ambience. If the weather had allowed we would have used the splendid picnic and BBQ area near the weir. Alas there was heavy rain and cold winds, which put a damper on the splendid location
This is a well-located, well-managed site, but I do offer the following suggestions in the spirit of constructive improvement. The showers and loos were very clean and the water was lovely and hot, however the facilities might have been more comfortable if they had been heated when the temperature drops below 10deg.
There did appear to be a lot of rules pined up here and there maybe a case for consolidation to a single document handed to tourers on arrival may have been less off-putting. No groundsheets were allowed which is fair enough and the grass on all the pitches looked great. Perhaps the use of the new breathable groundsheets may be considered, as they appear to keep the grass green underneath.
In summary a well-managed and excellent site that has the potential to provide a magical riverside setting if you were blessed with a little warm weather
