What a find. This site is run by a couple and a small team of employees and it really has a personal touch. You regularly see the owners around the site doing jobs or they will be in the small shop which has basics available. You can order a paper each morning. We had a lovely welcome and were shown to our pitch. The toilets and showers were plentiful and clean. There was a family shower/toilet which we found very useful as we have two young children and could all get in together after a day at the beach. There is also a field with some play equipment and an indoor games room which was lovely. We had a 12hour spell of very heavy rain and although the pitch flooded it did drain very quickly. Ensure you check their website for details on how to get there as the roads really are very narrow and the satnav will take you via a route that's scary with a car let alone a caravan! Definitely worth a visit and near some lovely beaches.

We camped here as a family (2 adults and 3 children) in July. The children were on their school holidays (summer starts earlier in Ireland!) but it was still low season, so our stay represented fantastic value for money. The facilities were excellent; toilets and showers were exceptionally clean - always a key indicator of quality for my wife! The toilet block even had fresh flowers - the owners obviously take great pride in their site. The children's play room and field were great and the shop / reception had the basics we needed. Wifi was available (free) but the signal was a bit ropy; only available outside reception. The pitch was flat and very spacious. We really couldn't have asked for more, especially at the price. The site is ideally located for visiting attractions in south Cornwall - we visited places on the Lizard and Land's End peninsulas, as well as the Eden Project. The site is close to fantastic beaches and world-class attractions such as St Michael's Mount. We found this a very friendly site - Carol was always very helpful and chatty, and seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our stay. I certainly intend to return to this campsite if we make a return visit to Cornwall (which is very likely; we have travelled all over Britain and Ireland, and enjoyed our stay in Cornwall more than anywhere else).

Again we have come away from this site, having visited on many occasions now.
Carole, and Graham are most welcoming hosts. The improvements to the site are A1. The ladies toilets block has now been refurbised like the rest of the facilities.
On arrival, we realised that we had forgotten to bring our caravan keys, and it took one phone call, while traveling up, to have our spare set ready and waiting.
We have a 10 year daughter, who loves the the play room, and the field set aside for all the children to play on.
Can't find any faults with this site, we can only give it the highest recommendation, and as always we are already planning and looking forward to our next visit in the summer school holidays.
The location of this site is ideal, as it is quite central to the local beaches, and surrounding visiting areas.
Also my daughter loves the warm crossiants that are available to order for your breakfast in the morning.
Many thanks for our wonderful stays, and many more to look forward in the future.

We visit lower polladras every year and never have any cause for complaint.
Firstly the owners. Graham and Carole are friendly, helpful and spend enough time around the park to make you feel secure but are unobtrusive. The daily morning order of croissants (pre order essential), are a great new addition to their services.
The park is relaxing, quiet, peaceful and well set out. The toilets are kept clean and I know there are plans for a 'ladies' toilet update and what they have done so far with the gents (so I'm told) and the new additions of a family room and disabled toilet, shows that the ladies refit will be just as good.
The site is dog friendly and has a nice dog walk, with lots of bushes for them to explore.
The weather wasn't great whilst we were there and the site got a little water logged at times not surprisingly) but soon dried out when the sun came out.
We tend to go out every day and the site is a prime location for visiting all of Cornwall with not much difficulty. This area is certainly one of the most picturesque, with Penzance and St Ives close by, however it is also not far from Truro and Falmouth for shopping.
As we visited in low season we took advantage of the £59 per week tariff and you just cannot go wrong at this price and with this lovely quiet park. Will definitely be back next year.

We stayed at this site as it was close to Helston and very reasonably priced. Graham and Carole are extremely friendly and welcoming and obviously put a lot of effort into making this site look so good. It is very well kept and maintained.
It has ample washing/laundry facilities and the toilet blocks were spotless and lovely and warm. There is a small on site shop and if it is not stocked the owners will get it for you. They also collect freshly baked bread and daily newspapers for you on request.
A newly built games room was available, however we did not use it as spent most of the time off site. There is a friendly pub in nearby Godolphin Cross which serves lovely food and a little farther away is Helston which seams to have been stuck in time. It is a very picturesque town and well worth a visit.
Word of warning: Do not use your Satnav for directions but follow the directions provided on their website, as the Satnav will lead you down some very narrow roads that are not suitable for a towing caravan.
A site that we will visit again the next time we come to Cornwall.

We ended up on this site by accident as the site we had booked was sub standard. What luck for us!This is truly a great site close to the coast and within easy reach of local towns. We had a hard standing pitch which was large and level and sunny too. Nice warm clean showers and separate toilets.
Good size washing up room with recycling outside. There is a large wooden building for the kids with a table and chairs and ping pong.
Good lawned area for ball games etc. Our kids spent most of the time enjoying the many hide aways around the site and made a den. Brilliant!
Have to say though it was very quiet for august bh week.
Great site and we will return.

We found this site after being let down elsewhere, having paid 12 months in advance for a pitch and then finding it double booked. At short notice we contacted Carole and Graham to see if they could squeeze us in and of course they did. What a find, can't rate it highly enough.
As we normally hit Cornwall in the summer months, grass pitches are fine, though hard standings are available. All the pitches are generous and mainly level. The pitches are split 50:50 between grass and hardstanding, and divided up into small areas. As others have said, some of the hookups are a stretch, and I always carry and extension to my hookup.
The facilities came as a surprise. This is not the most expensive site around and indeed, the low season deals are amazing. This said, we expected to find the facilities according to the price, but no such thing. The facilities are very good indeed and always clean. There is a play room and playing field for the kids, both well away from the units, which works out well. Mobile phone signal was very sketchy and indeed I could only get an Orange signal on the play field. The camp WiFi, a nice touch was fine, no issues there.
Evenings are great here, its sheltered, free of light pollution and so very quiet. Everything in West Cornwall is an easy drive and there is lots in the immediate vacinity. Helston, about 5 mins drive has everything you would need.
The owners are great, very welsoming and helpful, and a great source of local knowledge. They take real pride in their park and it shows.
Enough to say that we have booked again this year.

Arrived at the camp site but owners were away but left a note on the door giving a choice of pitches,
When I got settled I plugged the ehu cable in and had no power so phoned owner and he said use another hook point and he fixed it when he came back,
The site is nicely sheltered and less then 5 miles from Helston and flambards,
The toilets are very clean and they have now got a games room for the children with table tennis and a choice of board games for the children to play, mostly level site with plenty of hook-ups and the park is very tidy,
The owner's are friendly and welcoming to all.
Can't say much about the local pub's as didn't try any as don't drink that often,
This park is ideal if you want somewhere to stay and explore the surrounding area, there is a great beach in hayle and on the way their is a pub called 'The Bucket of Blood'
This is my second stay at this camp and will use it again,at the time I booked they were offering a weeks stay for £59 well worth the money, just wish I could have stayed longer.

Very quiet, well laid out site with extremely friendly owners. Toilets and shower blocks were immaculate all the time, a testament to the amount of work that the cleaners and owners put in, flowers and music in the toilet/wash block is also a nice touch.
The owners were very helpful, even offering to ring around some shops when the pump on the van went, shop is also well stocked with essentials.
The children's play area was well kept with goal nets and a newly built games room, which kept our children entertained at all times.
Recycling is encouraged here and the fact that the recycle bins are alongside the normal bins encourages you to separate your waste and recycle
Wi Fi was a welcomed surprise, you have to move about a bit to pick it up but always managed to get connected.
Location is awesome and seems to avoid the sea fog that often draws into this area.
Have already booked for next year and looking forward to it.

We spent a week here at the beginning of August. What a lovely place. This is a small site with plenty excellent facilities including playroom for rainy days all kept clean and fresh by helpful friendly staff. Cut flowers dotted around interiors were a nice touch.
I gather owner was a landscape gardener in previous life so some nice beds gave colour outside and grass was in good condition. All this set within secluded valley just minutes from lovely Praa Sands (certainly close enough for no resentment!).
Wonderful area all round with so much to see and do. Lizard, St Michaels Mount, Lands End, St Ives and Newquay all within easy reach too. Though the more discerning of you might want to give Lands End a miss there is plenty in the immediate vicinity to explore.
Kids had a fantastic time. Mum and Dad had a fantastic time. Will definitely head back here.
