We stopped one night at this site as we made our way back South.  As someone else mentioned, DO NOT rely on the supplied postcode to get you here using sat nav. Its way off!  We were travelling with friends and on the phone they said our two large motorhomes (30 and 35ft) would be no problem.  Upon arrival we were given the choice of parking on an empty concrete hardstanding used for statics or going on the camping field.  We decided the camping field would be better and took the risk of 8.8 tonnes on soft grass.  As it turned out, the grass is quite firm round the outskirts of the field, even with heavy rain earlier in the week.  The site was very very busy and we squeezed in between two tents.

The site was lovely in the respect that there was a lot of families with children that kept ours from boredom.  It also had a nice shop that also did take away food including pizza, chips and curry until about 9pm.  The toilet/shower block seems new and had evidence of bits still being built onto it.  A nice touch is the use of solar heating system on the shower block roof. Very environmentally friendly!  I can see that the middle of the camping field is very uneven and some tenters struggled to find a flat spot.  Maybe a run over with a plough and flattener during the winter would make this an excellent field for next year??  Electric points were round the outside of the field only.  The owners were laid back with where you pitch, it didn't seem to have designated pitches.  The impression I got was that this site was mainly for statics, with the campers stuck on a field at the end of the site as an after thought. Although we got a warm welcome and they do seem to be making an effort to improve facilities.  Good work Bradford Kaimes, keep at it!

Arrived on Friday evening to a friendly welcome from Dougie, the site warden.  Pitched our tent on the spacious field, which took a while as we are new to this.  Eventually managed to get the tent up before the drizzle began.

Wonderful toilet and shower facilities, spotlessly clean and piping hot water, just what we needed on a wet Saturday morning.  A bonus for the environment too as the water is heated by solar panels!

The site shop is excellent, friendly staff, very helpful and they even to take aways, which is good when it's too wet to cook outside.

Only a short hop to Bamburgh and Seahouses, where you can get excellent fish and chips.

We had an excellent stay here, the only thing to let us down was the great British weather.

We would definitely stay here again, only next time we hope the weather is better.

Just got back from a great couple of days at this site (Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime)
There were 6 of us between 2 tents, adults and children and cannot really say many things bad about the place.
Having read the reviews of the site I as many out there was a bit concerned about the toilet facilities. These seemed to be very clean and always smelt fresh and clean, admitedly the showers were not working as they are obviously being revamped. Water was hot (solar heated by the look of it, so blame the weather if they are cold)and yes only 1 dishes sink, but hey so what.
The shop on site was really well stocked and the staff were very friendly and helpful, there is also a small take away from the shop as well, so a night off from cooking.
A few tents were around the field and on the first night 1 group of lads were a bit noisy, spoke to warden next day, problem sorted, if you ask the staff for help they will.

As for the weather, it rained on saturday but its only rain, make the most of it and go for a walk, you'll only get wet and its better than complaining about it.
The surrounding areas are beautiful, wet or dry, and if its that bad go to Neptunes in Seahouses and get some fish and chips.
Overall we had a really canny weekend and will definitely go back here again.
As a help for anyone using a SAT NAV system the GPS setting below will take you to the entrance to the site as both myself and my brother had a bit of trouble finding it by using the postcode alone in our cars.

Our fist camping trip in years!
£8.00 each adult per night- dogs free!
The site itself has toilets which were out of order on the tent field so ports loos were in place. There are showers etc and more toilets and a camp shop that does snacks/tea and coffee etc at the site office (a bit of a walk away from the tent field).
We were camped on a nice level section by the hedge and next to the water tap.
The wardens were very friendly and helpful.
We had 2 adults and 3 dogs in our party and had a camp fire each night- as did most of our neighbours.
We did have a couple of annoying neighbours who were noisy and upsetting the dogs until quite late at night (family groups- not the gangs of lads!).
The site is miles from anywhere and is in a bit of a dip so is quite sheltered. There is a dog walk around the outside of the site and it's surrounded by farm land.
The site is fine for exploring the lovely coastline/beaches/castles of Northumberland but too far from anywhere to be able to walk to a pub/the beach etc. The nearest town is Bamburgh and we had a nice meal in a pub there which was very busy. The roads are quite narrow and there are no paths so it would be risky to walk to the nearest village. Dogs are allowed on the beaches and it seems a dog friendly area in general. Go an visit Lindisfarne if you get the chance (gorgeous!). We went to lots of places up and down the coast and loved all the unspoilt villages/castles/beaches- and the weather was beautiful as well.
Would go back to Northumberland but probably not to the campsite.

We pre-booked this site in good faith and on the assurance that it was a hard standing premier pitch. Sadly the reality was not what we expected. The pitch was not hardstanding, it was grass and very uneven grass at that. I saw no hardstanding pitches available for tourers.

The camping / touring field is large and relatively level despite being uneven, but it is a long way from reception and the
adjorning shop, therefore it's not ideal for the disabled campers. Two taps are provided for drinking water at one end of the field only.

There are electric hook-ups along one side of the field and night-time lighting around the edges too.

There was ample space for children and adults to play games on the field without encroching one each other space. At night there were no problems with noise. Travelling 200 miles only to find that the ladies shower were out of order was not funny and my wife was deaply upset she could not them her usual rating of of ten.

Considering that these toilets have been out of order since March, I would have thought it only right and proper that prosective customers should be made aware of BEFORE they book. No warning was given, and no appology on arrival.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Having said that the mens showers block had been freshly painted and cleaned each day. Lack of toilet paper was a problem.

So are there any good points. YES. TV reception is EXCELLENT.Close to Bamburgh and Seahouse, and the Farne Islands and it's wildlife
sanctuary, the site is in a very good location for touring Northumberland.

Would we visit again. ? Northumberland, definitely.

This site. Definitely NOT until some improvements have been reported
in UKCampsite.co.uk reviews.

Stayed over bank holiday weekend, left booking a bit late everywhere else was booked up, was a bit anxious as read the reviews but had no other choice so booked anyway. Staff seemed friendly advised to pitch anywhere on the field.

Campfield satisfactory. Plenty of space even though it was busy, still enough room for the kids to play ball etc. Noise levels were acceptable by midnight the site was quiet.

My little boy enjoyed the playground, although it was a good way away from the tourers pitch.  Fairly well stocked shop on site.

Ideally situated for Bamburgh and Seahouses. Beach at Bamburgh is superb. Scenery beautiful, Northumberland at its best.

Now the complaints the toilet and shower block next to the tourers field appeared to be still under contruction and if you read previous reviews looks like this has been the case since March 07.  When we arrived on the Friday the women's toilets were blocked and full of human waste this was resolved later that evening.  We managed to have a shower on the Saturday although there was only one available in the womens, which was tiny with nowhere to hang clothes and the mens were cold. The rest of our stay the womens's showers were OUT OF ORDER showers were available next to reception, although they only had shower curtains which made it difficult to use with a toddler as they can escape.  They were cleaned on a regular basis so have no complaints there.

Overall had a nice weekend.  This site has potential if the facilites were improved, without this I don't think we will be rushing back.

We found this was a lovely site with a well stocked shop and very friendly staff. We have only just started camping so I have not got many to compare it to but I was a little bit disappointed with toilet and shower facilities. Lovely area with sea houses a short drive away. Definitely will go back.

This was our first experience of camping and the only site with availability in the area for the bank holiday weekend.
The locality of the site is superb, the camping field nicely sheltered and quite large.
We had read the previous reviews regarding the toilet block, showers etc, so rang to see if the new block was finished. We were assured it would be - it was'nt.
None of the three ladies showers were working and the other block is a trek across the static site.
The toilets were working, thankfully, and it does look as though an attempt had been made to tidy the block up.
We counted 75 tents on this site on Saturday and more arrived later, no-one we spoke to had been told of the problems with the showers.
Come on Bradford Kaims, this site could be wonderful with just a little investment.

I have a static at Bradford Kaims and it's a nice site. All reviews mention the toilet block but when I was there last week they were ripping it all out and re-doing it, so I would think it will be great soon.

We have stayed at this campsite before and didn't really fancy staying again due to the freezing cold showers, however we arrived at a different campsite in bamburgh and didnt like the look of it so decided to give this site another go. We stayed here from Saturday to Wednesday and had the best camping trip ever.
There were 4 adults and 4 kids this time and we managed to work the showers a treat. We didn't have one cold shower since we were there.
We went trecking through the farmers fields and played hide and seek in the corn fields. Apart from Kielder this has got to be our best trip ever. You must go and see the scenery whether rain or sun.
