After reading reviews of this campsite I was a bit weary about camping here for 2 nights. We enjoyed the camp but the other reviews are bang on.

The toilets that are beside the camping field are regularly flooded (and the source of the water was unknown). My husband suspected that the showers flooded the toilets but I was convinced that the water was coming from the toilets themselves. We used the shower block beside reception and they were fine. There was only one toilet block for the whole camp field - most other sites of this size would have had 2 or 3 blocks at various locations. I think this played a part in the toilets being flooded all the time.

There was only 1 sink for dishwashing and it was regularly que'd.

The location is ideal - its sheltered by beautiful tall trees and the surrounding scenary is very pretty. At the moment its just a field that they let you camp in. If Bradford Kaims invested money into redeveloping the camping toilet and shower block it would be a good campsite.

We visited this site to stay with friends who have a static caravan there but having read previous reviews about the lack of hot water, we were wary about what we'd find.

The camping field is uneven and littered with cigarette ends. Space wasn't a problem even though the site looked quite full but a large number of campers were noisy all day and carried on until at least midnight each night. Several of them also lit open fires very close to their tents at night but, as we didn't once see any campsite staff in the camping area, I assume they aren't bothered about the behaviour of the campers at all.

The toilets and showers are exactly as described in previous reviews - cold, grim and inadequate. Over the whole weekend there was only one ladies' toilet that had both a door lock and toilet paper. There is one shower for men and two for women.

The caravan park is fine, as is the shop and children's playground and the area surrounding the campsite is beautiful.

Visited Bradford Kaims for 1 night, tried to get in to Waren Mill but it was full, now I know why.

Checked in at reception asked where our pitch was and he said put it where you like we were directed to the field at the bottom.

Managed to squeeze into a quiet corner, in my opinion they would have been able to accept more tents if it had been a bit more organised.

Toilets were clean enough but quite old requiring modernisation, showers were cold and cost 20p. There was another shower and toilet block near reception that was a bit cleaner and the water was hotter but still quite old.

Site OK for one night but have been to far better. Probably wouldn't go back or recommend anyone to stay here.

As a single mum with little income - I decided to buy a cheap tent (cost £25.00!) and take my son camping. I picked this site from the internet and must admit I was a bit worried as never been camping as an adult before and never on my own with my son! Anyway we went and had the best holiday ever - the camp site was very friendly and felt safe!

My son loved the site - and the little play area and shop which sold everything you could need and was reasonably priced. On one night we had a rather noisy family pitch beside us but they quietened down before it was too late. I had intended on cycling to Bamburgh with my son but the roads were quite busy and hilly so we didn't cycle at all out of the site.

The showers were not too good - kept flooding and cold water but as mentioned in another post there are showers near the shop and these were hot and clean. I would go here again.

This was our first camping trip so I can not compare with our sites. However, I phoned 3 hours before arriving and they took my booking without any problems. When we arrvied we were greeted by very friendly man who told us which area to pitch the tent. It is situated in a static caravan park, and the field at the end is where the tourers/campers go. The area was fine and we had no problem finding a good place. I must agree with other reviews, the toilets near the camping area are wet, cold and old. I did use the facilities near the shop/reception and they were spotless! It only takes a couple of minutes to get there and its worth it for a shower. Excellent place to stay for only 12 per night!

We decided to stay at this campsite as a last minute decision. It had a very friendly witty warden and good atmosphere about it. Really big field for lots of tents so you could pitch anywhere you liked and toilet and shower block right next to field so not far to walk at all. A nice play area next to caravans but some distance from tent area. A handy place to stay at for visiting bamburgh and sea houses. The shop was well stocked. I suppose the only complaint was the showers were cold but that is only a minor thing so its well worth a visit.

We didn't actually stay here - but we went to have a look. For information its a large 'holiday camp' type of site with a large number of static caravans, and a field set aside for tourers and tents. A convenient location for Seahouses and Barburgh with Alnwick and Berwick on Tweed a bit further away.

We visited this site in the last Bank holiday weekend in May. The site itself is ideally located for Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses. The only thing to complain about was the distinct lack of hot water even though you are paying 20p for it in the shower block, The manager was friendly and the on site shop was OK. Probably won't go back unless other people review and say the water problem has changed.

8 times this year so far!
For 8 years now my family and myself have visited Bradford Kaims.
It is a small site which is ideal for a relaxing break.
There is a very good shop which also sells cooked pizza's, chips, burgers etc at very reasonable prices. There is a pool room, laundry and small park as you come into the site.
On the campsite itself the toilets, showers are being renovated as we speak! I know that they were cold and wet, but that has all changed! There are further toilets, shower blocks at the top end of the site (a short walk away from the campsite) Which I dont think many people are aware of. They are hot, clean and dry.
Their are beautiful walks around the campsite, ideal for walking pets (and tiring out children, who LOVE making 'dens' in the woodland surrounding.)
If you want a break with hussle and bussle, Bradford Kaims is not the place to visit.
However,if you.. like me, prefer to spend quality time with your family, playing football, cricket, rounders and the likes.. where children don't constantly need money for this and that,it's the place to go.
Dont let the other reviews put you off.. give it a shot! You wont be disappointed!

The area round Bamburgh and the Northumberland Coast are truly magnificent, shame the same cannot be said about the site.We visited with a touring van and found the site to be untidy, with rubbish bins overflowing, grass in need of cutting and the less said about the toilet/shower facilities the better. One plus point was the Apple pub in the nearby village of Lucker. Good food ,good beer, good company, well worth a visit.
