My word, what a fabulous site! From the moment we spoke to the people in the office to the moment we left, we were impressed. A beautifully tidy park, spotless facilities, and a whole selection of activities made for a wonderful stay, though lovely walks through the wooded grounds was the limit of our exertions. Although the park was busy, at no point did it feel crowded or oppressive.

The shop was small, but had a selection of essentials and home-made cakes. The lovely bar staff even sold us a bag of ice.

There is a real air of traditional values, have a good time, but not at the expense of others, and it seemed as though the visitors were all quite happy to oblige.

More expensive than other sites we have stayed in, but well worth it.

Although very expensive for a camp site, you get what you pay for as the owners run a slick (and pretty strict) operation the facilities are second to none.

The toilets and showers are immaculate and they even have baths (all in individual rooms).

They have children's play areas, a par 3 nine hole golf course, tennis courts, boules, bowls, a fishing lake, footpaths throughout the site.

It is also a beautifully kept site with a nice clubhouse doing pretty good food.

Nearby is a great pub in Waldringfield called the Maybush, which does lovely food though you need to book in advance.

Woodbridge is well worth a vist and just a 10 minute drive away.

This is a fantastic site and is in a wonderful setting. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back! There are a few do's and don'ts but it all makes for a nice relaxed stay.

The shower and toilet log cabin is out of this world and is immaculate! The small shop has limited opening hours but the lady who runs it is very friendly and helpful.

The bar and restaurant is superb and the staff are very friendly, the beer is good and although we didn't eat, the food looked and smelt yummy! Great kids amenities and the top playing field is brilliant.

We stayed on a pitch next to the lake and it was plenty big enough for our caravan, awning, car and windbreaks. Electric hook up, water and grey waste at the rear of the pitch.

You would think with the number of statics and campers that it would be noisy but it is far from that and is very quiet and relaxed.

The staff are very friendly and work very hard, we were told that we didn't have to rush off the site on the sunday, which is a nice touch.

We only live 1/2 hour away, so we know the local amenities and the Maybush pub in Waldringfield is well worth a visit - great food, fast service and beautiful setting next to the river.

No complaints from a family of 2 adults and two young kids and we will definitely be back!

 Excellent site

Although it was a bank holiday and they were fully booked the site was spacious. Pitches are not all on top of each other. The staff were very friendly and helpful we could take our pick from from the pitches available. The site very clean and tidy.

Showers are excellent and some cubicles had a bath. As a couple in our 50s who children have grown up we do try to go to an adults only park but this one is set out in such a way that there is so much room for the children to play safely without annoying anyone. The walks are great as are the 9 hole golf course and football pitch.

There is an on site bar/restaurant and shop for essentials. We enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of weeks later and were lucky enough to get a lakeside pitch which is for adults only

This was our first visit to 'the moon. ' and I can say that it will not be our last.

We received a very friendly and informative welcome and were allowed to select our pitch in the adult area. Loveley spot looking out over the lake.

The setting here is stunning. The lake and the trees are fantastic.

The amenities are first class particularly those to be found in the cabin. There is a small shop open each morning for a couple of hours and a bar that opens most evenings. There is also free Wi-Fi in this area.

There is a children's play area and at the back of the site are a host of facilities such as tennis courts, table tennis, badminton court etc.

Just 10 minutes away there is a delightful town called Woodbridge which has a railway station, many shops and excellent pubs and other places to eat. Ipswich is only around 8 miles away.

So, a wonderful site- just go.

On arrival we were given a long list of do's & don't's, but were pleased to find staff very helpful and atmosphere quite relaxed. We were told not to rush away on our last day, but leave as late as we liked. Although the static area of this large site is being developed this doesn't affect the touring/camping area and we were left to chose our own spot in the adults only section overlooking the picturesque lake. The site is very well kept, lots of flowers and shrubs. Small shop open 9-11am. Nice bar/lounge/restaurant, open mid-week 6-9pm. (1st week in July). Food on Friday & Saturday, limited menu till 4pm Sunday. We had an excellent Sunday roast for £6. 95. Shower/toilet facilities are great. Bathrooms in the wooden hut are some of the best we have seen.

Slow walk to the river at Waldringfield took us about an hour, but was well worth it. The Maybush pub was very busy, but there's plenty of room outside to sit and watch the boats. We didn't eat here, but lots of others did. Food looked excellent.

There's a bus to Woodbridge 2 or 3 times a day. We waited at the site entrance for 15mins, but nothing came(timetable at reception was dated 2009). Walk across the fields to Tesco's took about 30mins.

Free sports facilities included 9 hole golf course and 3 hard tennis courts, sign said no charge for borrowing sports equipment from reception. 5 star site, will certainly visit again.

Stayed here for three nights after the bank holiday weekend had a great time.

The toilet block was second to none. Even the older set in with the static vans, in fact found these to be very handy for showering at busy times because they were always empty.

The rest of the park is very well maintained. Was a bit worried about all the rules with 4 teenagers but these didn't seem to be a problem. We all had a lot of fun on the rope slide and enjoyed a game of runout.

Pitches are a great size.

We got two pitches side by side and had plenty of room for two large estate cars a 6 man tent and our 8 man meridan and our outdoor cooking area with two tables and 8 chairs

Electricity and TV arial hook up easy to find and no long walk for the water.

We shall be going back again.

Without a shadow of doubt THE best site we have stayed in the UK. Fantastic for kids and such a nice atmosphere. I have read some of the other reviews and all seem to have written exactly the same as my own thoughts. Yes I thought the big signs saying no ball games ECT were a bit over the top, and I did worry, with two very enthusiastic boys, we were going to be constantly reprimanded, but straight away the feeling of freedom was great.

The lodge ( a fantastic log cabin, with a real grass roof) was beautiful. I don't think I have ever said that about a toilet/ shower block. The radio playing whilst using these facilities is a nice touch, as one of my grudges is listening to people in other cubicles!

The shop was average, the crusty rolls were nice. The attendant pleasant.

Surrounding areas and walks were great. The lake with a beach was very pretty and added to already great scenery. The bar was nice and the food looked good.

The free tennis/ golf and footy pitch make up for the higher than usual cost of staying here, but as said in other reviews ' well worth it'

Over all brilliant! Wont hesitate to re-book. Just one thing careful letting your kids play on the zip wire alone as it is definitely possible for them to get the rope rapped around their necks! Finally, choose carefully where you pitch as a lot of pitches under trees (very shaded if you want sun!) and a lot of acorns ect fall with loud bangs on you vans! ( same as any tree on any site) so not moaning.

This site was highly recommended by one of the staff at Stowmarket caravans, If you want a slightly quieter site with first class amenities then this is it.

The lodge has has 5 or 6 beautifully fully equipped individual bathrooms + the same amount of separate toilets, a laundry room, washing-up room, there was also some shower & toilets near the restaurant. Oh and a grass roof.

There are several choices of location for pitching all seem perfectly flat & spacious most over look the small lake which has a 'beach' at one end.

The site has a great bar / restaurant with some good food & beer, it also has free WI-FI which runs at a pretty good speed

The staff are really helpful & polite

We have stayed at the moon and sixpence 4 times and keep returning, it is a wonderful site with great facilities. There are individual bathrooms which are lovely and clean and the separate toilets play music which you find yourself singing along too,

The staff are helpful especially the lady in the shop who always has a smile on her face. This site is more expensive than other sites but you get what you pay for and its worth every penny.

Our two boys love the football pitch and my husband loved the golf course, finally quiet after 9 is lovely when youve been out all day. Where as other sites party till late.
