Stayed for four nights in June. Was plagued by the dreaded midgies on the first night but not after that.
The site is very informal, no-one about when we arrived and were left to our own devices all weekend. Only spoke to someone when we were looking for somewhere nice to go for the day.
The showers are very powerful, could do with a bit of updating but not desperately.
My only negative of the site is that it has no view as it is completely surrounded by trees.
Quite a nice walk through the woods around the campsite also.

Second visit here in the past couple of years and what a greatly improved site. has had some work done to it it. has improved elec hook up, the last time it kept cutting out but the new owners have put in new power points and are now adding lodges
The staff were very nice but it would be good if they had t shirts with site name so you knew they worked there especially the first day.
We will be back later this year with friends it will be interesting to see more improvements, but it was always a nice site with good dog walks and close to the village and only ten minutes from perth by car

Visited this site as been here before so keen to see what the new owners had done. The site was really busy as it was Easter. The site is set in 2 halves the first on entering looks well kept but we were pitched on the other side which looked more like a festival weekend. The pitch we had was sunny but very short and the back of our van was almost sitting on the road. There seem to be few rules on the site as dogs were allowed to wander free and I had the misfortune to find some dog dirt with my shoes. The site still only has 6amp hook up which is very poor in this day and age. There seemed to be a lack of water taps for the size of the site and in my experience failed to meet what I would perceive to be a minimal standard. On the upside I believe that some upgrades are on going and the site was quiet at night.
I will give the site another visit later in the year as this has always been a beautiful site but has never realised its full potential and Auchterarder is such a lovely place.

After visiting the site last year, this is the second time this year we've been at this site since its being taken over by its new owners in December. Our first visit was in February when we rang to check availability we were told that the site toilet block and facilities were being renovated so therefore there were no showers. We felt that was no inconvenience for one nights stay. We have just returned from two nights camping at this site. Yes indeed there are signs of some minor improvements but not renovations. A lick of paint and new cubicle doors were all that was evident to us in the shower/toilet block on site. The owners are busily upgrading and increasing the number of hardstanding tourer pitches which gives us some degree of concern with regard to the facilities. Two very small showers and two toilets in each male and female block will not be sufficient to cope with a busy summer season. The disabled toilet in my mind is not a proper disabled toilet.
We really love this area and it would be a pity that this quaint little site lost its charm due to the facilities. Luckily for us the people on site are still as friendly as ever and the local area is absolutely wonderful. Hopefully in the future there are plans for another toilet block on the site. Only time will tell. I still will return to this site at some point this season as it is so nice and peaceful.

Stopped here for one night, but if we're in this area again I would not hesitate to stay for longer.
The site is beautifully presented with nicely spaced pitches. We got the friendliest reception I think we've ever had.
Easy to get to from the A9 with a drive through the town. If it wasn't raining heavily when we arrived we would have walked back to the town for dinner. We decided to eat in, but I would estimate about a 20 minute walk and there are a variety of pubs, restaurants and take aways.
The toilet block is showing it's age, but was clean when we were there and I did like the radio coming on when you switch the lights on. There is an undercover washing up area and a laundry (didn't look in there though).

This was a short notice request for a couple of nights which was fulfilled without any problems. The chalets look very inviting, but I was there with my tent, so didn't take them up.
The hosts were very pleasant and attended quickly to requests, reflecting their site which was located in a nicely wooded area with plenty of areas to walk dogs etc.
It was obvious that many of the people there were frequent visitors, which is a good reflection of any site.
The toilet/shower block was something to behold. Nicely panelled, warm and piped local radio - a nice touch.
The site itself was nicely laid out with plenty of room.
Facilities fo shop in nearby Auchterarder include a supermarket and various local shops.

Lovely site, we had lots of room for our Nevada M plus extension. They have Ehu but they were booked up for our stay so we had to 'rough it'. The toilet block was well kept and showers powerful and free (could have been hotter) radio on in there which was a nice touch. There is a coin operated hairdryer. There was a laundry area, but we didn't check this out. Dishwashing facilities were fine. The owner was friendly, but not in your face. Great location for sightseeing and walking, Auchterarder close by for stocking up. Stirling and Perth very do-able Only downside was that the traffic noise from the A9 at times blocked out the noise of the babbling brook we were pitched next to. Midgies weren't a bother (we may have got lucky). We would go back.

Stopped overnight here on the way north. Very welcoming sheltered campsite. Plenty of space for our two small tents.
The toilet block was clean and you were provided with a key to ensure only campsite users could enter. The only problem with the toilet blocks was the piped Radio One - probably fine if that is what you want to listen to whilst washing. Washing up facilities also undercover but a bit midgy (it was a warm damp evening). We chose the site because of its ease of access from the A9 however you can hear the hum of the traffic from the campsite.

We had a lovely 2 week holiday at this fantastic small campsite.
Our first impression of how friendly and welcoming the site would be was with a phone call when we were en-route with an apology that the owner may be unexpectedly called away and may not be on site to welcome us. As it happened he was available, but the phone call was a nice thought and better than having no welcome after our long journey.
We were given an exceptionally large pitch in the corner of the site, alongside a lovely little stream. The site is very quiet and family friendly.
When I booked the site I was concerned about the site's position being close to A roads. However, I needn't have worried as the site is nicely secluded with trees and the road noise is barely noticable. Far more distracting were the numerous buzzards circling the campsite skies (not to mention the herons, bats and the lovely sound of the stream surrounding the site.)
The facilities seemed small at first, but despite only 3 toilets and 2 showers in each block, they never seemed busy and we never had to wait for a shower, even when the campsite is full. These were clean and the showers were warm and powerful!
Freezer blocks were frozen for us and no additional charge was made for this service. The laundry was handy, and a very warm room, which was useful for drying clothes!
There is no play area on site, but the children were entertained by Megan the resident horse! The site is small and quiet enough to allow the children to wander the site on their own.
There is no shop on site, but amenities are available in the nearby town.
I would definitely recommend this site. It is quiet, very reasonably priced and in a good location for exploring this area.

Had a great time on the site, the showers were free and hot but never cleaned the whole week we were here. The road round the site had big pot holes and the shop was never open.
Grass could be cut more often as when it rained because it was long you got quite wet. The entrance was was dangerous as you couldn't see to exit the site.
Site needs lots of money spent on it to take up to date. Site on a wet day is very dark and dismal. We didn't like the horse in the middle of the site as we were on holiday not at a farm!
We Wont be coming back as very disappointed with the standards.
