Stayed for one night on the way to the Highlands.

A relaxed and friendly welcome, although I had to wait twenty minutes for their arrival.

Showers were hot, but were quite small and suffering from mildew. The rest of the facilities were good. Washing up area is outside, but under cover so no problem.

Pitch was good, flat and firm. Nice wooded surroundings. Some noise from the main road, but not really a problem.

I'd probably consider staying again if in the area.

Campsite was clean, peaceful and friendly.

If the staff were not in reception when required they appeared when called within minutes, ready to help.

Although there is no children's play area the horse on site kept the children amused!

I found this site handy for a day out in Perth and a lovely area for walking!

This was a good value site and for a family of 4 2 children under 5) it was only £16.50 a night with awning and hook up.

We are heading back this weekend so lets hope the weather doesn't let us down.

Greeted very warmly (hand shaking - that's a first at a site for us!) Shown to our pitch - very nice site with trees and bushes surrounding it but still a view of the hills. There is some background noise from the A9 but at times the noise of the birds drowned it out!. As it was so cold all the standpipes were frozen so we got a key to the laundry room to get water which was nice of them. Lovely walk over a bridge along a small river. There was a drain on our pitch but we didn't have a long enough lead to use it. A lot of caravans seemed to have been there for a very long time judging by their outsides.

There were a few downfalls - first was the shower block - very quaint log cabin effect but no heating at all (did love the piped Radio 2)Braved one shower (lovely and hot) but nearly fainted trying to get dry! As said before really needs updating but its totally functional. Also, it wasn't cleaned all the time we were there (4 nights) - luckily there weren't many of us staying there. Had 2 sinks for pot washing outside but under cover. Reception had a good selection of books and videos but you had to ring the bell and wait for them to come from the farmhouse.

Couldn't use an electric kettle as it kept blowing the electrics (ended up using the one on the gas cooker) managed to run an oil filled radiator but didn't try the telly (happy with our radio)

Auchterarder itself has a lot of wee shops but very expensive (proximity to Gleneagles no doubt) There are 2 chippys, a Turkish kebab place, takeaway Indian and a takeaway Chinese. Also a Co-op and Spar. On the main bus route to both Stirling and Perth and has its own train station (btw the portions from the Chinese were huge - never seen so many chips on one bag!)

Stayed here for one night on our way up to the Highlands. It is easy to find and we were warmly welcomed by the owner's father and daughter. The site has level pitches that are well spaced out within a nicely landscaped site. There are the usual facilities, including piped radio 2 in the shower/toilet block. Nearby is an outdoor washing up area with a convenient dog walking area adjacent on the site.

The town with ample shops etc is a short drive away but as we were passing through we did not get to fully explore the area but would use the site again if in the area.

We visited this site for 2 nights recently and had a very relaxing time. The owners are very friendly, making sure you know where everything is and showed us to our pitch. We found the overall facilities good. Plenty hot water and very clean. Okay, the toilet block is a bit dated but perfectly functional, I've seen a lot worse.
You can hear the main road in the background but it didn't bother us at all. It's a short walk into the village with lots of shops and places to eat.

We'll definitely use this site again.

This is a very nice site.We had plenty of space to pitch our tent as it is a large family one, the only problem was the electric hook was not the proper unit on the ground, but just connected to a 13amp plug and because of this we could not use our heater. But luckily we had a gas one too, but this is one of the main reasons people ask for the hook up and it also tripped about 9pm leaving us in the dark and we had to ring someone to come out and replace the plug. I think they should fit proper hook ups for the tent area.
The children enjoyed the horse on the site it kept them busy and the dog walk was very good. There was a shop on the site but did not seem to sell anything except gas and birthday cards and you had to ring the bell every time you wanted to go in for a look.
The toilets and showers were fine

We visited this site in May and this was our 2nd visit.

The Robertsons who own the site couldn't be more helpful and approachable and work tirelessly to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay.

The grounds are well kept and the dog walking facilities are excellent. This site is a must for both campers and caravanner's alike.

We would not hesitate in recommending this site to friends.

We had friends travelling with us and they were also highly delighted.

The age group is for the 40+ and children and is only a 15 minute walk from the charming village with plenty of shops and eating venues and is only 12 miles from Perth for a days shopping or sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed on this site for two nights in the middle of April. We were very lucky and had fantastic weather on this great site.

The owners allowed us to pitch in the horses paddock, giving us the whole field to ourselves and it had an electric hook-up (not all pitches have access to hook-ups).

This site is very quiet but you can hear the A9 but that did not put us off at all because we found the site very relaxing.

The toilets and showers were clean and warm even if a little dated ( when entering the toilets the radio switched on with the lights )

The owners were extremely pleasant and helpful and seem to have a very relaxed approach.

We will definitely come to this site again as its a great location for a base and we really loved the relaxed atmosphere

Disappointed in this site, really, particularly after the other glowing reviews. Showers were lukewarm at very best, certainly clean and have piped music from Radio Tay. But they need serious money spent on them to modernise to better standards. Assorted pieces of flooring used as wall cladding and much evidence of mould in places.

Dishwashing area poor and chemical toilet disposal area poor.

Some pitches have hard standing but basic and water pipes need better provision and better drainage. Not sure what the supply is to the electricity but it seems like a lot less than 10A - as soon as a modest heater was put on the supply tripped, and it was the same for the neighbouring unit whose supply tripped when he boiled a kettle with nothing else on, other than a light. This happened continually. Must do better, I'm afraid.

Great location, though, for access to Stirling, Perth and the surrounding areas and the site was quiet and peaceful at night, very restful.

Be very careful when crossing A9 dual carriageway to go south - extremely fast traffic and not a lot of opportunities.

Might return, but will restrict that to a couple of nights. It could be a real gem of a site but will need serious money spent, certainly not up to the standards that many new caravanner's and campers will expect and in view of that this site will miss out.

We went to this site in February, and the ground was still a bit soft, so good footwear was the order of the day. This is a lovely site, with good facilities, excellent toilets and very clean, the owners are friendly and take time to speak. We walked into town, which took around 20 mins, 0nce there a good range of shops & pubs, with friendly people.

This is the first time we have been at Auchterarder caravan park, and it will not be our last.
