Just got back from an enjoyable stay at this site, we had a fantastic pitch about 30 meteres from the showers with loads of space even had our own tap, very quiet site and very well maintained with beutifull gardens.

Showers and toilets clean and basic with free showers.

As other reviewers have said the walk into tenby is downhill and took us thirty minutes, and we don't daudle, coming back was fourty five minutes and really tiring, we did have a taxi once and from centre of tenby to the cemetery gates was three pounds, allthough some of the taxi drivers didn't seem to want to do the short trip.

I think its great base for the surrounding area good beaches probably the best site for tenby, as within walking distance

A slightly sloping site that is well maintained. Lovely views of the sea from the top of the site, but they are obscured by a large hedge at the bottom of the field. Limited electric but usually available if you book well in advance.

Water tap at every pitch which is really convenient.

Facilities are simple and basic but beautifully kept and maintained. Hot water at sinks and at the washing up area.

Nice walk into Tenby, but quite a steep climb back. Easy access to the coastal path. Other nearby camp sites offer things like a shop and a fish and chip van which can be handy.

The owners of this site clearly care about it and look after it diligently. It is small and friendly.

There are also a number of static caravans for hire which are probably as beautifully kept as the camping area.

Just back from 2 nights at windmills c/p. What a tidy clean place& the owner is very pleasant & helpful. Slightly sloping, used top of lower field but wedges made it almost level, walk out of site, turn left there's a lane that takes you to the top of tenby, quite steep going down but if you had a taxi to the cemetery gates it could work out cheaper for a return trip with just a short walk back. Only 1 shower, free with really hot water (adjustable) & 2 toilets but there was never any queue & they were always clean. I towed a car behind my motorhome because I was unsure of the bus situation. (stayed in other parts of tenby before where the bus service is NON existent). Having excellent weather helped the time I spent there but anyway I'd go there again.

A lovely site with fantastic views out to sea. Unfortunately we only had the weekend away so only stayed one night to meet up with family members on holiday in Tenby. They collected us from the site and took us back at the end of the evening. We used our own on board facilities so can't comment further on the site facilities. However we will be back when we have more time to explore the walks down into Saundersfoot and Tenby.

 LOVE THIS SITE

Beautiful views, everywhere kept immaculate, bathrooms spotless, hot free shower, though there is only one shower per gender, this might cause a problem at peak times especially for tents

Love the area, new hedges has everything you need, 2 pubs and large shop, main bus route to tenby and saundesfoot

We walked into tenby down slipperyback, no chance walking back very hard going, caught the bus

We then walked into saundesfoot the next day, boy was that a challenge!, we went via coastal path, be warned this is not for the faint hearted, we are 50+ it took us two and a half hours, some very steep climbing and 132 steps en route, good walking shoes required as you go through forests with boggy ground, glad we did it but next time I'll get the bus which takes about 8 minutes!

We have reviewed this site before but had to leave another.

We visited during the heatwave we experienced this year and boy was it hot! As we were under canvas as we have a folding camper it was unbearable by 7am and ended up sleeping outside in the shade of our unit and car.

We used the showers this time and they were excellent, the site was still as beautiful as previously but still quiet even with the ironman going on in tenby. Plenty of little tents with the competitors staying on site and still didn't seem full or wait for the showers.

If you want an all singing and dancing site then give this a miss. Quite campers this is perfect.

Just back from Death Valley, or that's what it felt like in this heatwave! A total revelation, Tenby, or was that a beach in Australia in disguise?? The Windmills caravan park is a super little site with everything you need and views that make you go WOW look is that Caldey Island?? We now have another site to go back to again along with Tom's Field in Dorset! See you there. Or maybe not if you like noise, games, squashed in pitches, clubs etc etc.

We Spent 1 week here early in September.

The site is Sloping on fully serviced grass pitches. Due to our lovely summer we struggled to get the van onto our levellers. We had to wait a couple of nights for the ground to dry out to get level.

Very friendly owners and the site is kept immaculate.

Toilet block was spotless and shower free, hot and very powerful. Never had to queue.

Lovely quiet site 10-15 min walk from Tenby.

We decided to try this site because it sounded idyllic and we weren't disappointed. We love Tenby as a whole and decided to use our folding camper instead of a B&B as previously done.

The site is very well kept even with the dreadful summer we had this year, this site seems to have a lot of seasonal pitches and would imagine at the height of season would be difficult to get a pitch without booking. The owners were pleasant and welcoming, we didn't have a shower so can't comment on that temperature but were spotlessly clean only down side is there a little dated and there's no heating in them. The views are to die for one way over Tenby and the other way being Saundersfoot.

The walk into Tenby is all down hill and lovely but we didn't attempt to walk back and a taxi only cost a fiver so not bad at all.

There are some nice pubs to eat in as well as restaurants, the places we can recommend are, the three mariners( cheap and cheerful), the lifeboat tavern (reasonable bar meals), and the Plantagenate (can seem expensive but meals and service outstanding best fish menu too)

We stayed here for a week late August 2012.

It's a lovely site, with about 15 statics down one side of two main camping areas - the caravans/tents then have the remaining area on the site. There's a lower and higher field and an area near the site owners' house where two campervans were.

I'd say its more of an adult site, as there's little facilities for children, which to be fair suited us though as we prefer sites witout kids.

The facilities, while quite basic, were spotlessly clean. Sadly there's only one shower for the men, although I never had to queue for it, and it was warm throughout. There's no shower curtain though, which seemed odd as it was hard not go get the cubicle floor wet?!

Our pitch was at the bottom of a row of semi permanent vans, and sadly as it had been raining quite a lot the pitch was sodden. Of all the time we were there our pitch never dried out and it rendered our awning useless and meant we simply couldn't spend any time outside as we sank into the mud

The site is a bit exposed being right on the coast and we had some strong winds shaking the van while we were there.

The site has some good views, and the higher up the site the better they are.

Access is via a narrow road, that is reasonable to drive up, but I'd not fancy meeting another van coming the other way!

All in all a good site, really friendly, welcoming owners, fully serviced pitches, good views and close to Tenby itself.

Recommended.
