Can only add to the glowing reviews already submitted. This is a first class site, run by first class people. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the site meticulously maintained.

A great site for exploring Pembrokeshire as it is close to the seaside resorts of Saundersfoot and the beautiful Tenby. For the kids, Oakwood Park, Folly Farm and Bluestone Lagoon are all a short drive away.

My advice would be to book well in advance for next year, as even in late October, Pantglas was very popular.

I feel like I don't want to tell anybody about this campsite, I want to keep it all to myself so we can always get in! ;o) it's a gem!

If you are like me and want spotless facilities, a fantastic play area for the kids and a blissfully quiet and peaceful campsite then this is the place to go! The site itself is so clean, no rubbish, and from what I saw no dog do do (we don't have a dog so I was very pleased about this) joy and mike keep the place spotless, almost to an OCD level! Lol. The shower and toilet blocks are so so clean it makes you feel obliged to leave them the way you found them (which most people do from what I saw) there are clean cloths on the sinks and a mop at the showers so people can clean up after themselves and help keep it spotless. I never once had to wait at the showers, toilets or washing up room (which is also spotless!) there is a 20p charge for hot water in the shower and washing up room. A small price to pay I think considering its just £15 a night for tent camping! Joy was also kind enough to charge our portable DVD player and freeze our blocks no charge!

The playing area for kids is just brilliant, as soon as we drove in my daughter blurted from the back seat 'woah, look at the park its awesommme!' It's nice and spaced out between apparatus so the kids don't get glattered by each other. There are two themed slides, sunken trampoline, zip slide, sea saw, swings, and other smaller things. There are also two playing fields, one for football the other for just running about. Though the kids park is great it was never manic or crowded, and kids were off the park by 10, so no noise. Joy and mike have really thought out this site and made it so perfect for families with younger children.

The site itself is very nice and the pitches are so big. Our pitch was huge! We had two cars and it wasn't a problem. We also cordoned off an area with wind breakers in front of our tent (which could have homed another tent!) for our children to play safely. There really is loads of room! The hard standings for caravans are really large too, awning and car to one side and grass verge big enough for another car or gazebo on other side. Big! The park is kept well maintained with grass and hedging cut neatly.

There is a club house, but I likened it to more of a friendly living room with a bar in the corner! reasonably priced and very relaxed with not too many people. There is no entertainment here. Joy and mike have a strict no noise policy for late at night so you know your going to get a good nights sleep! You won't find gangs of rowdy youngster partying the night away here! Just perfect!

There is no on site shop, which isn't really a problem as most people are out and about everyday anyway. There are plenty in nearby Narberth. There is also no restaurant so if you don't feel like cooking yourself the Sporting Chance about a mile or 2 down the road is very nice and the food is excellent.

While we were there we visited folly farm, Saundersfoot, Narberth, and the surrounding beaches.

I would like to say thank you to joy and mike who are truly friendly people and have this park to a T! When we visit this part of Wales this campsite is where we will be staying from now on!

If you want a peacefully quiet holiday, a great playing park for the kids and spotless facilities look no further than Pant Glass Farm - Its a gem of a site!

We've just returned from this gem of a site - what a find!

Immaculate site and facilities - I saw no rubbish at any time, and the grass was well cut and collected.

Joy showed us to our pitch, which was hard standing. We needed rock pegs for the awning, but this wasn't a problem. The pitch was also on a slight slope so we needed chocks.

The site is divided up into smaller hedged areas, which is great when it's windy, and it stops the site looking like a 'sea' of caravans and tents.

We were fairly close to a toilet/shower block which at all times was spotless, even during the heavy rain. Showers cost 20p which was just long enough for a no messing shower, and it also kept the queues down - my max wait was about 2 minutes. There is a further shower/loo block at the top of the park near the launderette and bar.

The bar was great! We noticed no cliquishness whatsoever. Mike and Joy were always genuinely interested in what people had done during the day and we were no exception to that. Bar prices were very good - £2. 50 for a glass of wine and the same for a pint. The bar also sells sweets. There was a TV in there and we all gathered to watch the opening of the Olympics in a great atmosphere.

The playpark is, as my kids said, awesome. It's certainly one of the best I've ever seen with a long zip-wire and a trampoline as well as the usual stuff, plus a big playing field where one child playing footy soon became a small team!

Joy and Mike the owners are very friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of tips on places to visit, and which of the local back roads to use!

We visited Tenby, Saundersfoot, Amroth, and Pendine for beaches, Carmarthen for the cinema and new shopping area (Debenhams etc), plus Oakwood theme park, and Bluestone Blue Laoon swimming complex - make sure you book in advance for this as we were disappointed one day and couldn't get in, so went the next day and pre-booked and evening bbq and swim session.

Would we return? Absolutely, yes - hopefully next summer!

Another great week at Pantglas. As always, it was clean, well maintained and the team there are very friendly.

In fact everyone at the site is friendly and chatty and there is a lovely atmosphere there.

Toilet block is cleaned very well each day and those staying at the site take pride in it too by cleaning up after themselves.

The play area is great - lots to do and good fun for younger and older children.

Near to lovely beaches - all within half an hour's drive.

Shops no more than 10 mins drive.

Look forward to next summer!

We had been wanting to visit pant glas for a while following a recommendation from a friend. We stayed over a long weekend with our touring caravan. We were shown to our plot by the owner who was very friendly and helpful.

We were on a hard standing that was a gravel base which was fine in the wet weather at the time. It was on a slight slope so did need some blocking. Our plot was right next to the park. This was great for the children but did get a bit noisy late at night. We were worried that the parents would leave the kids in the playground while they were in the bar. This did not happen as come around 9pm the site was very quiet.

The toilets were and showers were really clean, as was the rest of the site. We didn't use the bar as the kids were worn out and needed sleep.

It appears that the site was mostly seasonal pitches so as a family staying a few nights we felt like outsiders. Everyone seemed to know everyone else and it was their home away from home.

I have never been on a site before where the residents drive to the toilet block and the bar. Understandable if you are a long way away, its raining or you have young kids, but it was young single people driving a short distance, using the facilities and driving away again!

We ate at the pub in a nearby village, the sporting chance. Good pub food at a reasonable price. Had good chat with he landlord as did my three year old. Close enough to Tenby and all surrounding resorts and also a good 20 minutes closer to home for the return trip!

Would we go back, no real reason not to, so maybe.

This was our first trip away with a trailer tent, and we were not dissapointed. Mike & Joy are very nice people and the site is very well kept - even though we had rain during our visit not at anytime were we muddy.

The playground in my children's words is the best park they have ever seen and suitable for all ages. The toilets were immaculately clean at all times.

The clubhouse is so very well set out - it is used as a kids room during the day so they can play pool (you can even ask for dvd's to be played) and in the evening it is all opened up and becomes a warm and friendly bar with reasonable prices.

Amroth, Saundersfoot and Tenby are a short drive away (that is if you can get your kids away from the park).

All in all we had a fab time and have booked a week in August but hope to get back there again before then. Definitely worth a visit.

Stayed here last month in our tent for a few nights. 5 of us, 2 adults and our 3 children (baby, 3 yrs and 5 yrs).

We didn't have electric hook up.

The campsite itself seemed nice upon arrival (mainly caravans).

Checked in at reception, £20 a night which seems to be the going rate for a basic tent pitch these days. Owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were then shown to our pitch.

We were in the main tent field, next to the dog exercise area. It wasn't just an open field like you get in some camp sites, each tent had an allocated pitch with number.

Our hang up on this is that despite the field being a good size, we had no choice but to pitch our tent in that exact spot. As a result, tents are slightly cramped together all on one side, cars almost bumper to bumper and guy ropes on tents almost touching. You could pretty much hear every conversation of your fellow camper next door.

Now don't get me wrong, we're a sociable family, but when the tent next door is playing dance music all day and late into the night, it gets a bit tedious. (Luckily for us, they packed up and left the next night!)

We would have preferred to spread out a bit to gain a feeling of privacy and space from the other tents. There was certainly room in the field for it.

My main hang up with this site is that you have to pay for hot water. Pretty annoying seeing as you pay £20 per night and don't even get hot water. You even have to pay to wash your dishes! Showers are 20p a go and last around 3-4 minutes.

The toilet block is bit of walk from the bottom tent field which I understand can't be helped but the walk was hard going with young kids during the heavy rain.

The camp field was well kept, the grass was short and clearly mowed on a regular basis. There was a large bin near the gate for us to leave our rubbish.

The children's park on site was absolutely fantastic. Brilliant facilities including a long zip wire swing that our children loved and a trampoline which was sunken into the ground which made it very safe. The park itself was a really good size as well as being clean and tidy. There was a wooden fence all the way around it, so it was a very safe area for children to play.

There's no on-site shop which was a real shame in all honestly, especially as being campers with no hook up, we needed to buy milk fresh on a daily basis. A campsite shop would have been brilliant.

We went to Folly Farm, Amroth and also Tenby. All within a reasonable drive from the campsite.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay. Our children had a great time playing in the park and mixing with the other kids.

The lack of campsite shop and the charge for basic hot water was a big off put. Would we go back again?. Maybe.
Management response: Our camping field is 100 metres in length by 30metres wide and 10 tents go into it at any one time giving each person 10 metres by 30metres wide space. We cannot see why they said the area was bumper to bumper with cars, this only happens when we have 2 or 3 families together that want to be close together. Mike (my husband) and I are the only people who take the campers to their pitches and yes they are numbered but 1 to 10 only, giving them all that space 10m x 30m so not sure why the would be too close to next door - only if they did not take notice of what we advised them.

We advertise the showers are 20pence, prior to coming to Pantglas, and this helps keep the flow of people through the showers. If we have complaints we give them the 20pences. As we say it is to stop people have very lengthy showers then others have to wait and this would cause a separate problem.

All other services are free of charge from charging games/phones etc and all ice packs we offer our own and change them as often as required.

I have just returned from a weekend at Pantglas Farm. In the most part, its a fantastic site. I found it to be clean, well maintained and the owners extremely helpful.

There is a large playground area that my 3 year old loved. There is also a bar, but we didn't visit due to having the small person with us. We also didn't use the showers, but I noted they were 20p to use and I heard other guests saying you would need more than one. I also gather that the slot would sometimes become jammed, rendering the shower unusable. However, it was a wet weekend and the shower and toilet block remained clean throughout.

My only issue with our stay was that when I made my initial enquiry by email, I asked for quotes for a pitch with an electric hookup. On arrival, we were told that they don't have electric for tent pitches. It was too late for us to do anything about this and meant our fridge was rendered useless and we had two very cold evenings with no heater we could plug in. I think they miss a trick with this omission because we would certainly return with more family if they had it available. The owner was helpful though and did loan us ice blocks which we were able to swap when they defrosted.

I also have to say the pitches are an extremely generous size. We would return if we fancied another back to basics weekend and would definitely return if hookup facility is installed.

As far as location, we ventured to pendine and tenby easily. We also went to the blue lagoon swim park which is close by.

We have just returned from what can only be described as a wonderful break at Pantglas Farm.

I am not one for long written reviews, I do enough Work of my own!

All I will say is this, if you want a relaxing, clean and friendly site then Pantglas is for you, if you want Hustle and Bustle and a nightclub on your doorstep then this site is not going to be your Cup of Tea.

Well done Joy Mike and Trish keep it up. Ps say a big Hello to all the Folks in the Bar that we made friends with, see you at Xmas.

Our party was as usual, Mum, Dad, our two boys aged 7 & 9 and our dog.

We arrived having followed directions given by the site owners and I would recommend doing this as Sat-Navs from the Tenby direction will try to take you up two different lanes not at all suitable for vans.

Pitched up on a pitch right next to the playground and during our stay here, these pitches were the only ones where touring vans moved on and off.

The playground being close by was great for keeping an eye on the little ones, but your peace were at the mercy of when other parents called their kids in bed, and while we were there, it was when the parents came out of the club bar at closing time.

Water, waste water and chemical disposal points are few and far between but suitable for the vast majority of empty vans during week days.

Showers were warm most nights, but still worked by the 20p system for hot water. The showers themselves were old and drainage from the mens is slow going and the mop ends up picking up more water.

The playground and the playing fields are great and my lads made great use of these. The clubhouse has a pool table at 50p a game.

Did not use the bar in the clubhouse for anything more than buying the kids sweets as the bar suffered from crowding at peak times and most people knew everyone else so was a bit clicky.

While on site, we visited Folly Farm and this was great value for the whole day we spent there. Tenby is nearby and well worth a visit but of the places we visited, Heatherton World of Activities near Tenby was amongst the biggest let downs. Staff more interested in voucher exchange and time limits than keeping an eye on people and safety.

The dog field is only marked off from the lower tent field by use of a grass mound so as a dog exercise area its not the best as my dog will chase other peoples balls if she is allowed off the lead.

Will we be going back? Maybe, but we will wait and see on here when the showers are updated and the touring caravan field moved away from the playground so as to stop the constant cutting across the pitches by people taking short cuts to the playground.

This reviewer states that our dog walking has a "mound" in between to stop dogs from going into our tent area, the mound approx. 3ft
high and grassed which is kept mown and there is a 5 bar gate which can be closed the rest of the boundary is thick 5ft high hedging impossible for the tiniest of dogs to escape through and we advise everyone that if their dog is liable to run off or cause a nuisance it must always be kept on a lead while on our park. The dog walking is approximately 100metres long by 40metres wide and is a grassed field which is kept mowed with the grass collected.

The comments about our bar were also very picky as the family only came in on the Bank holiday weekend when if you are not busy as a caravan park bar then when are you? During the week when we opened we were very quiet and there were many vacant seating areas but they did not come in to see.

Also regarding our shower blocks, we have one very modern shower block with up to date showers etc but he did not use that one he used the older block which is in keeping with our image as we were once a working farm and the bar areas and shower blocks are the old shippen area which is very modern inside but lower ceilings and they have modern showers but the old style which we are commended on by the British Holiday Parks Scheme, as for drainage in one of the showers if he had told us at the time we would have put this right during his stay, we have since checked and find this not to be the case so what was going on we do not know. We have a modern high-tech urinal next to the shower block renewed winter of 2009/10 and a Disabled/family wet room very high-tech which he could have used if only he had come to us with all of his gripes.

I personally bring the children off the park at the latest 10.30pm but usually 10pm every night if their parents don't as this is a park rule. Obviously Bank holidays are busy and the noise levels from the club on a Saturday would be all finished by 12 midnight and the bar cleared by 12.15 but on the other nights 10.30pm
Sunday and bar closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
