Well back here a year on and no other reviews in that time. This time we spent a bit longer (4 nights) and therefore spent a bit ore time around the site.
The wardens were incredibly helpful and friendly and my daughter absolutely loved it. We still used it as a base but with more time we discovered some local activities as well.
The facilities are as you would expect at a CC site; clean, warm and well laid out. The site is in a very quiet and peaceful location but still extremely convenient for London etc.
Denham village is nearby and that was very quaint; there was also the village fair which was an added bonus.
Having spent more time there this time I think the site is a little betn 2015.

Stayed here for two nights in May half-term.
Used the site as a base to visit friends in London.
Site ok, facilities ok, location ok. Not brilliant but not too bad. Would stay again in similar circumstances. Cannot really comment about what is around but Rickmansworth station is a shortish cab ride away.
Friendly welcome and helpful wardens.

Good site, clean. Access is simple enough as long as you follow the directions and turn at the static home site. There is a sign for the caravan site but we missed it as it was so small. Interesting reversing and turning in a single track road was the option left to me !
Only stayed two nights as we wanted to go to lords in town. For this purpose the location is excellent. Drive to local train station and train straight into marylebone and then on to the heart of london.
Local area hasn't got much to offer. We know the area quite well as have a relative in uxbridge and that is where you would need to go for a night out or a decent restaurant.
Not ideal for kids as there is no play area we could see and very little space to play and ball games band. But as a cheap way to visit london cant fault.

Stayed here for 4 nights in October 2013. Good location for visiting sights in and around the local area – Hampton Court Palace is fairly close, as are the Thames and Windsor. The facilities on the site are fine. The old village of Denham is lovely to walk through – apparently the actor Sir John Mills used to live there. We visited one of his favourite restaurants, Biggles, which is on Denham airfield and within walking distance of the site! We weren’t around the site during the daytime, so the noise of the airfield wasn’t a problem for us, but the constant helicopter noise in the evenings was certainly noticeable and if you are planning to spend a lot of time on the site, you need to be aware of this. We didn’t go into central London but this site would make a pretty good base for doing that. I would advise you to avoid using the Sat Nav, and to stick to the Caravan Club’s suggested directions to the site, as some of the approach roads are very narrow. We would definitely use this site again.

This site sits just inside the M25 which, as far as I could establish, makes it one of the closest to the centre of London. Even if it isn’t, I picked it because it seemed to be easily and quickly accessible from the motorway. As such, it didn’t look like I’d have to tow our caravan through too many residential areas, all of which pleasingly proved to be the case. However, please follow the Caravan Club directions as you come into Denham in order to avoid an impassably narrow road. The last 50 metres before the site entrance are also particularly narrow, so take care!
Access to the site is controlled by a barrier and, on arrival, we were invited to pick our own pitch, which is always nice to be allowed to do.
The Reception office provided a few basic camping essentials and was part of a single block that contained all of the facilities. The toilets are accessed via the information room, which is in a conservatory to the rear of the block. The sinks for washing dishes are also here, which means they're covered. The toilets themselves contained (if I remember) 4 toilet cubicles and a similar number of shower cubicles. While the block itself looked quite modern, the state of the toilets and the showers suggested it was older. A little refresh wouldn't go amiss, but the facilities were clean, so no real complaints there.
The block also contained a laundry room, a disabled toilet and a public telephone - in other words, everything you might need in a central location.
The site has around 50 pitches, all hard-standing. In fact, with the dry weather, the hard-standing was very hard, so you'll need to ensure that you've awning pegs that are up to the job. The pitches are separated by grassy areas, hedges and planted pots. It all sounds idyllic but, as has been mentioned in previous reviews, there can be quite a bit of noise from the airfield that's close by. Personally, I found that it didn't take long before I could ignore it and it was actually quite fun to see the various types of aircraft buzzing overhead.
Our reason for choosing Wyatt’s Covert was so my family and I could get right into the centre of London. We could've driven (some might consider tackling the 1½ miles by foot) to Denham Station for an overland train into Marylebone. However, we decided to drive 2 – 3 miles further on, to the Tube station at Hillingdon. The Piccadilly line took us straight into Piccadilly Circus itself, from where we were able to find the offices for the Original Tour tourist buses. All the marvels of London opened up before us but, being the beginning of July, everything was really busy. All the same, we made that trip into London a couple of times, letting the Underground take the strain for most of the journey. By coincidence, the Harry Potter Studios aren't too far from the site either. Therefore, for the outings we had planned, Wyatt’s Covert turned out to be an inspired choice by me!

Really loved this site. We choose it for the location only and were slightly concerned about the number of negative reviews about the noise. There was no need to worry - yes it is in close proximity to a small airfield and we did hear occasional light aircraft taking off and coming in but it was in no way intrusive. We also heard a helicopter land at around 4pm each day of our stay but the kids really enjoyed it. There was certainly never any noise in the evening or early morning and we had a lovely relaxing stay.
The site itself is very well organised and had a tidy and pretty feel to it. There were beautiful baskets at reception and we were made to feel very welcome. I liked the fact that we could choose out pitch on arrival - so you can pick to be in the place that suits your needs best.
The toilet and shower facilities were basic but in good working order and most importantly clean, with a good space to 'dry off' and lots of pegs and a stool for all your belongings.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend

Had three lovely days at Wyatts Covert during the Royal Jubilee. Extremely helpful wardens. A bus service stops at the entrance to the site to go into Windsor or Uxbridge and returns. There is a train station nearby going into London. Nearby in the village of Denham there are a few shops and a Toby Carvery which was excellent value for money. There are two well stocked Garden Centres which are certainly worth a visit. Well recommended and will definitely return.

We've just spent three nights at Wyatts Covert and in general it's a perfectly fine site - everything you would expect from the Caravan Club: clean, functional and extremely tidy. But the noise from the airfield is significant, not so much the light aircraft taking off and landing as the helicopters coming in to land, then sitting with engines (and rotors) running for 10 or 15 minutes before taking off again. Maybe we just picked a bad weekend - and the Saturday was a lot worse than the Sunday, when it eased off a little. We enjoy airfields and actively looked forward to being so close to this one at Denham, but even we found this excessive. Everything else about this site is as in previous reports - good location, access to shops, pubs etc. And the nature reserve next door is a great place to walk the dog. Just be prepared for the airfield noise!

The site has a few things going against it, no amenities for children, close to an aerodrome and not in beautiful surroundings !
So why stay there ? It's location close to London!
The site is nice enough, level, good toilet facilities, clean, with an indoor plate wash area. As with CC Sites it's quite expensive but you know you will get a good quality site. The wardens were helpful and cheerful.
The airfield didn't bother us, the occasional helicopter and light aircraft only seemed to operate between 07:30 - 19:00, and as we wern't staying on site all day, was quite entertaining.
There is a station about 10min walk away, with constant trains into central London, and about 10min drive to the A40 and it's access to the city. We also walked to Denham, a pleasant village of old, brick houses, on through the Colne Valley Park and onto the Grand Union Canal, very pleasant! Half an hour drive to Windsor.
We enjoyed our stay there and will stay again.

First time at this site, chosen because of it`s proximity to Slough. Quiet nights, decent facilities with nothing broken, some people say they need updating but they are perfectly clean and warm and function as they should. Visited Denham Village where Sir John Mills lived in a lovely house on the main village street. Very old village, very well kept with reasonable parking to visit the pubs/eateries. Access from the Motorway end of Tilehouse Lane is tight but trucks do use it so possible with care. Best access if coming from Junction 1 of the M40 Is up Denham Green Lane, nice and wide, to the top and turn right, the site is a few hundred yards along on the right past the aerodrome and into a shared entrance with a mobile home village.
